Silver & Gold look like RPM'S Silver & Gold in a way.

The Faceplate makes the Sixth Ranger look like a lost Gokaiger concept.

I always find "sixth" hero designs interesting in the ways they deliberately riff on the main team's designs, and X utilizes in a fun way. Although this isn't the first multi-form sixth we've got - thanks, ZyuohTheWorld - I love that the forms reflect the design of the OTHER team.

The "hats" and use of black/white are consistent with the respective team, but PatrenX picks up Lupinranger's cape (as a long coat) and collar, white LupinX picks up the Patranger shoulderpads and looks like he might mimic their sketch of a tie.

Yeah that works too if you consider the vs vehicle the powermaster. Definitely. One subtle thing I noticed was that the mouthguard is the opposite color so Lupin X has a gold mouthguard and Patran X has a silver one. Trivial but neat. :rock:

Also the thing I love about the X Rodsword is that Patran X's weapon will be the jitte mode. This type of weapon was in Shinkenger used by Shinken Gold when he uses Daigoyo as a weapon by combining his limbs. The reason I think it will be Patran X's weapon is because a jitte was basically a police baton used during the old days of Japan and its primary use is to negate sword attacks so it fits within the police theme. Google the thing it is a pretty interesting self defense weapon.

The Crane Arm also reminds me of the Cranes from the Constructicon combiner in Energon.
But yeah WTF is with the giant stuff awkwardly on the chest? Sentai designs sometimes get too cluttered these days. Wonder if they'll be a giant weapon mode for it down the line? I mean the whole of X's robots turns into a weapon for another.

So, the rumour about the double agent was true. That's pretty cool, though I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the character that eventually unites both Sentai against the Gangler and they end up fighting on the same side by the end of the season leading to one ending roll call with all 7 rangers. Although after the elaborate roll calls of the last three Sentais this one is going to feel rather basic in comparison

No word on any upgrade forms for any of the rangers yet by the looks of it. Shishi Red Orion leaked alongside Houou Soldier last year, but it's just the 7th ranger this time.

Toys got hacked and there seems to be a Super Patran and Super Lupin sound. Hopefully it's a full team power up instead of for the Reds

If this seventh ranger is a double agent, what side is he really on?

Another gold/silver? Sentai's been trying new stuff since Go-Busters, why not take a break from those colors for a while and try new ones? Or ones that have been underused? They were doing well with ToQ6, ZyuOh TheWorld, Ryu Commander, etc.

The singers for the opening seem to have the same last name. Does anybody know if they're related somehow? Or is it just a coincidence?

Isn't this ranger the same character in 2 suits, though? I think gold and silver work pretty well in this regard.
The obvious better choice would be black and white, but both suits utilize that in their negative space, so I don't think it would work here.

Does anyone else think the Patoranger badge looks like the Signalman/Blue Senturion one? I was trying to place why the badge looked familiar since the first scans. I doubt there is any connection. Although maybe they can also work in a Jealousto cameo.

My biggest complaint about "Ranger X" here is that they missed a golden opportunity to have his helmet look like a fedora. I mean what's Lupin without Zenigata or Jigen.

They sure do look similar at first glance though they are not in actuality. I think it has to do with both Signalman and Patranger badge using the letter S so it tricks the mind to think it is the same unless we see go over the details.

would be great if this show gets a crossover with KR Drive so they can bring back Lupin.

EDIT: And I hope it's a proper crossover and not one character cameos for one battle and moves on like the previous two crossovers. Give us something like the Ninninger/Drive crossover.

I'm not really sure if there WILL be a crossover this year. Previous crossovers were to promote the Taisen films. Since the Taisen films got discontinued I'm not sure about there being a crossover between Build and LupinvPat. They usually happen at the end of March, so I'm not so sure whether we should have heard about any potential crossovers yet or not.

There are parts/kinds of the Lupin Collection. The older antiquey kind that is legendary, the one that got stolen. And the other kind is the kind that they keep getting, the modern day one that is still being made, the one used to protect and retrieve the older one. The newer one just isnt a complete collection yet.

These reviews of Biker and cyclone have solidified my love for the Trigger Machines over the Dial Fighters. I guess I just enjoy the rescue aesthetic more.

Kinda makes me wish there was a blue and yellow Patoranger to go along with Biker and the upcoming crane mecha. Those five would’ve made a killer robo. Might do some experimenting with the minipla to make that so.

When Lupin X shows up, I can picture him playing both sides and trying to get them to work together as a TRUE sentai.

And he'll slowly get them to reveal their identities to each other. Yellow & Green will be the easiest to be the first ones.

That seems unlikely for now. He seems to be following a similar path that villains such as Juzo from Shinkenger, Basco from Gokaiger, and Enter from Go-Busters walked the way. But to give him the benefit of the doubt what is your theory behind that thought?
