Just got my shock oil... Wow. Just wow. Climax Form's hip stopped squeeking almost immediately. I think I might've used a tiny bit too much since it's now loser than his right hip (which slightly squeeks... maybe I should oil that up...), but it's still plenty tight.
If any of you are familiar with them, do you think this stuff would help loosen up ball and socket joints for BIONICLE sets? A lot of them in the final years were way, way too tight and caused massive breakages. |
Yeah... it looks broken, but it doesn't seem to fit in any way I try to slide it back. Can anyone take a picture of theirs?

How exactly can someone tighten the die-cast ankles on a figuart? My Decade's right ankle is pretty loose.

Ok, so I took out my Knight from the Detolf and was about to take some pictures for you when, wouldn't you know it, that same piece fell out for me as well, but I was able to figure out a way to fix it, albeit making one mistake, but at least you won't have to :D
My first attempt to reinsert the piece failed, so my second thought was what if I unscrewed the two halves, and then put the piece back and then reassemble? Bad idea, as the jewel on the Dark Wing does not come off, at least not with all the efforts that I've tried, I just ended up with a scratched up jewel :( Anyway, here is the fix: Have the piece face up like a U, and the nub (in the bottom middle) side down, you'll see a little hole in the back part of the Dark Wing body (you'll need a tweezer, thin one preferably), angle the nub into the hole first, and then, use the arm of the tweezer, apply force equally so that both sides slide into place, and done. http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5795/photo1euu.jpg http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5342/photo2su.jpg http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/7186/photo3oya.jpg |

I was whining Friday on one of these many Toku forums that my orders from Mandarake aren't going to be here for a long time, and that very day, the TRU Souchaku Henshin Den-O 5 Form set arrived.
And it's pretty fun. The only problem with it is I can only display one form at a time. But I love being able to swap the forms. Oh, and the rod is one of the most rubbery accessories I own, it's FAR too bendy. My picture of the box turned out horrible, so here's the one from Mandarake. http://ryanlb.com/images/kamen-rider...-5form-set.jpg And to try out my phone's camera, Sword Form. http://ryanlb.com/images/kamen-rider...ord-form-1.jpg Yeah, the iPhone pic didn't turn out that great. |
While on the topic of fixing things...
Anyone know if there's some way to at least stick arm back on temporarily? It kinda just... Fell off when I went to bend the arm, and now there's a huge crack on the joint. http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/t...7/IMAG0500.jpg I'm hoping to get it presentable because it's looking like I'm stuck with this one. |
For the clip problem on Darkwing, I also suggest maybe putting a tiny bit of super glue on top of the piece after you fix it, just for some extra stability. Mine fell out this morning, so after getting it back in that's what I did. Clipping the body piece onto the other cape forms after that felt less shaky and loose.

But how would one go about removing the joints from the arms? They seem like they're stuck in there pretty good. |

I'm waiting for said middleman to get a reply back from Bandai before I go about tearing the thing apart to fix the joint. Apparently the same thing happened to another person with GokaiYellow. As I said to the middleman, all I really need is an extra right arm. The way the Gokaigers are built I could just pop that sucker off, replace it and call it a day, but that entirely depends on if Bandai decides to help. |
These pictures are hilarious! http://ameblo.jp/wotakufighter-offic...c=thumb_module

Billy Herrington makes every picture he's in atleast 70% funnier :lol

But to get the joint back in you should heat the lower arm and then try to pop it back onto the rest of the joint..... Hopefully that works. My D-arts Wargreymon had a similar problem and I could never fix it.... |
Hey, does anyone know where I can get some of these Figuarts for fairly cheap? I'm not sure Amazon.com and Ebay.com are very reliable, despite having bought 11 figures total from ebay.
|
Sometimes Amazon has great prices, also keep watch at our own TokuNation market place, some sellers have amazing prices! (Like our very own Den-O!)

cooksux, i cant help but notice that despite your impressive collection and beautiful photography in your reviews, they all have a negative tone! especially the OOO figuarts. ill be getting a TaToBa eventually to represent the series in my collection but i remain trepidatious about it.
i picked up Amazon (from amazon.com lulz) and he is seriously an awesome figure with such a unique design. i used to think he was the ugliest thing ever with ZX as a close second, but i have taken a real shine to the figure. the fins all over and even the little anglerfish/horn thing on his head have charmed me into submission. now to find some torrents of the show! pm me if anybody has a source, i haven't found any despite scouring the internets for weeks... |

Also if you read my Amazon review, you'd see that I adored that one. |
Everyone adored that one :lol Amazon is one of my top favorite Figuarts in my collection.

While I know most people have a floppy wrist on theirs, mine is actually quite strong. And I don't much care for the Ryuki designs so the figures didn't do a whole lot for me :(
