I think that's the armor that RyusoulGold was wearing when we got the scans for Max RyusoulRed. So basically this is just another case of "RyusoulRed gets to show off the new power-up before handing it off to someone else", which I can dig over "Red Ranger gets to show off new power-up only to never use it again later".

Seriously. They could've used it for a new Ranger. Koh already had his 'Battilizer' so what it the goddamn point for yet another powerup?

Which is a shame because Ryusoulger is pretty good and Koh is a lot more tolerable than King ever was, but Sentai still can't help but to give Red all the good stuff.

Ya know... They use the Red Ranger for marketing things. He probably isn't going to be the only one using it.

Sentai should really invest in 7th Rangers more and start make it official. Even Riders now embrace the 'Third Rider' status completely.

It would also help how early sixths tend to get involved now.

I kind of like how Kyuranger did it; we got the traditional sixth with new gear (well, two actually) but also Kotaro who still used the normal transformation device.

What's the purpose of the Ryusoul tribe (and Canalo's tribe) being able to survive for hundreds of years?

Like, usually there's some sort of reason for it. Even if they're not delving into it as a main point of like "oh how tragic it is to be immortal" or something like that, it's used as a subtle additional point to distance the characters from humanity. But outside of a side plot of a single episode thus far, neither of those have been present? The Ryusoulgers haven't exactly been treated as so far from humanity that they're aliens or a completely different race; functionally, they're just a secret sect of humanity with different ways and customs and history. Their interactions with the wider human population and their society, technology etc is no different from the likes of, say, Gaored or something.

It feels completely out of place and pointless when you get right down to it. This isn't a major complaint or anything, just a small thing that's been bugging me for a bit that I've found no big reason for. Koh tells Ui he's 209, Ui's shocked, they move on and it's ignored until Bamba gets a sad story about it tagged onto a Canalo episode. It's just bizarre.

The Ryusou Tribe is task to keep the Earth and it's people safe from The Druidon Tribe. They are not immortal but they still live for hundreds of years. After they reach a certain age. They begin to train the next generation of Ryusoulgers to take their place and to continue on.

I guess that it sounded cool to the writers at the time. But their is no real reason as to why they live so long. You could've said that, it's because they're defending all of us and that they're the only ones that can do so. But then that's thrown out of the window. When once they reach, what they consider elderly status and they train a new group of Ryusoulgers to take their places.
