I have a cousin who sure as hell would absolutely freaking love them to do Fairy Tail.
|
FMA figuarts would be sweet IMO. It's one of my favorite animes and I would totally buy them if they ever made them.

Oops. Must have missed that. >_> Still, don't understand why they never made more, or titans for that matter. (Aside from the colossal nendoroid) I wanted a Sasha, be it Figma or nendoroid. Something that wasn't a statue was call I cared about. :/ Yeah, I wouldn't expect too much, (hell we're lucky if Bandai does that for anything) but there's certainly quite a few important characters they could make figures for. Though it would probably be wise to wait until the second Anime starts up. Quote:

I want Street Fighter or King of Fighters one can never have too much Chun Li in their life and a new Terry would be nice.
...and hopefully I could finally get figures of Alex,Rose,Juri,King,Leona and Elizabeth Quote:

I still don't like the mail and think they could have done better, but at least it's easier to swallow now. |

Back to the prospect of SHF, I'm not honestly sure how much Bandai would provide either outside of a Link (most likely a different one, but I expect Bandai would have to do the most recent ones like GSC as well). I know Figma aren't exactly ones to do full cast line ups, but I find it strange there hasn't been a single Zelda released, even as a Nendoroid. Especially when they're doing a bunch of Fire Emblem characters and that could be considered a somewhat lesser franchise. Strange to the point where I do wonder if its something out of their control. But hey, Bandai are doing a reasonable enough job with Mario so it could work. I think they'd have to announce a Zelda or Ganondorf right of the bat to get me truly interested though. |

DO ETT BANDAI! |

Yep, Myth Cloth. Of course, if they WERE to start doing Saint Seiya figuarts, then it'd sure be swell if they did another, similar franchise about boys in magic suits of armor... What was it called... something about legends and troopers, possibly of the samurai variety... And yes, I will eventually shut up about it. WHEN IT HAPPENS AND THEY ARE ON MY SHELF. |

It's entirely possible there is. Nintendo's license have been really weird. Bandai gets Mario and Pokemon, while GoodSmile gets Zelda, Metroid, and Fire Emblem... But they also get Mario so long as it's Nendoroid. Kinda weird to split up their franchises like that. Personally for me, I'd love if Bandai got Metroid and announced a Gravity Suit Samus. I'd be sold on that instantly. But that's just wishful thinking since Metroid isn't that popular in Japan. :( *sigh* Quote:
That would be worth it just to see him and his amazing hair next to some pre-cure. :lol |
This was the Tamashii survey from New York Comic Con 2015. At least Lupin figuarts became true. Inuyasha figuarts would be cool. I would buy them because of my middle school nostalgia.

Possibility of Tails figuart overrides my desire for anything else on that list.

And we all know how much I love me some TimeFire/Quantum Ranger. |

I remember Bluefin at Otakon saying that Sonic was one of their biggest requests next to DBZ reissues. I think Sonic figuarts could happens if another company does not have the Sonic toy rights.

The Akiba Showroom is currently showing new Star Wars-stuff (some of which we've seen at the Tamashii Nations-Event), a guy named to ho has a gallery on flickr with some shots:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/97939553@N02/ Among the new stuff are Mace Windu, Episode IV Luke, different colored Clone- and Battle Droid-variants, Force Awakens Stormtrooper variants, and the Super Battle Droid. The other Episode IV-guys, General Grievous or Jango don’t seem to be on display. |
Sweet, there are close-ups now. Last night there was just the wide shot of the clone variants floating around. I was hoping we'd get more.
Great for army builders, but glad I am not one. Just literally adding paint does not tickle my fancy enough to want those other clones or droids. The Super Battle Droid, on the other hand, looks magnificent. I can't wait for that thing, I always really liked its design. Mace also looks great. |
Mace Windu looks good.
I KNEW the Phase I Skittle Clones would be coming, and yes, I'm gonna buy one of each, like a chump. I wonder, why is the red and blue on those guys always so vibrant, the but the green color always looks like old peas, rather than a similarly vibrant green? It's an ugly shade of green and I've always hated it when Hasbro released one in that color. Anyway, while I will totally buy the rainbow cornicopia of clone troopers, I will stick to my guns and pass on the similar array of Battle Droid recolors. Although to be honest, that blue one looks pretty cool. R2 and C3P0 look cool, I'll totally buy those. I was totally gonna get the Biker scout, then changed my mind, and now I'm back in again. I find it amusing that they posed it such that the Bandai/LFL trampstamp is so visible in the display. Darth Maul is not a Kamen Rider so I don't need his bike (nor the Biker Scout's really, I'm gonna kick myself when Bandai announces a standalone release of the Scout two days after I pay for the Bike version :D). Farmboy Luke! Cool, I need it. Super Battle Droid... IDK, I'll probably say no to that one, cuz it will make me feel I need a regular Battle Droid. Oh man, SHF Hulkbuster looks amazing. I just don't think I can keep it. I've got it on preorder, but I'm going to have to turn around and sell it when I get it. It's so much money, and I was REALLY irresponsible with money last month (two Metal Build Gundams!) and any money I had saved up for it is now gone. D: But I want it so much, I'm going to try to keep it anyway. |
Let's be realistic, none of these color-variants will ever be released.
|
You really think so?
Granted Bandai isn't Hasbro, and SHF isn't the 4" SW line, but I find it very likely they'll release the repaints, cuz easy money. There have to be plenty of SW nerds like me that will buy the color variations. Of course, I'd rather they release retools, like the ARC Troopers or some of the commanders, but where they already have the mold, why not release super easy repaints like these? Even if just as web exclusives. |

Oh wait. They HAVE done that. |
Because they are relevant. Most of them at least. Meanwhile there's tons of potential repaints they haven't done which could easily be done. That’s what I’m seeing; constant repaint opportunities which other companies would do but they’re not doing them.
This is why I’m so surprised to see them going into all of these clones. I have no idea how popular these are. So if you guys say they might do them… who knows. The only thing I know is that I couldn’t care less about all of those. |
Bluefin is releasing Lupin figuarts in the US. I already pre-order mine on Ami Ami last night just to play safe.

Sentai Figuarts stopped selling well, which is why they stopped making them. Only a niche audience was interested in a full roster. That was problematic because SHF is already a niche toy (Designed primarily for collectors), so it just wasn't worth the cost to make a full team when you're already barely appealing to the market you're aiming for. Star Wars sells like hot cakes and Stormtroopers/Clone Troopers are always super popular to army build with. |
Just picked up my Clone Trooper and Battle Droid.
The Clone's hips are atrocious. Just as bad, if not worse than, the Stormtrooper's. Real shame. Also, mine may have what are easily the absolute worst knee and elbow armor I've ever experienced in a Figuart. They really, reeeeally don't want to stay in and based on past experience where it's a consistent problem across a figure's run, I bet it's not an isolated case either. Still looks nice and crisp, and the all-caps "PHASE I" emblazoned in several places on the boxes has me looking forward to the inevitable Phase II, even though it'll probably have all of the same flaws. The Droid is fantastic. I'm finding it a little difficult to get it to hold the blaster, but otherwise it's everything I could have asked for. |
Aw, don't say that! I saw hacchaka's review of the Clone today and thought it looked fantastic, got really excited to get it. Now I'm all nervous about it. :(
Bandai should really glue in the elbow and knee pads, so we don't have to do it. Or else I should just always try to pull them off, every time I get a new figure, and glue them in place if they come off. EDIT: Also, what do you mean by bad hips? in said review the Clone is kneeling quite well, and looks good. I don't remember being able to get the Stormtrooper to do this. http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/hacchaka/...9/e972f2da.jpg |
They really should.
And that leg is not straight out. It has to be twisted outwards to be able to go forward. To me, that's hindered. And doesn't look great from anything but the right angle. Maybe I do need to work with it more to get more used to how they work, but not being able to just go forward from stock still isn't good to me. |
I do remember thinking that Vader didn't need the pull down hips it has, but the Stormtrooper should have gotten those hips instead, and given Vader its hips.

I have seen the Battle Droid gallery form Shishioh and it looks really cool. I don't want to pick one up, but I really look forward to see how they do Grievous. If they could make the Battle Droid work then Grievous should work out pretty well.

Why the fuck is bandai making such shitty legs? They already fucked up the stormtrooper
