Lupinranger Vs. Boukenger Vs. Patranger Vs. Dekaranger

Due to the Patranger's track record against the Lupinrangers, the Dekarangers are called in to handle them, and the Patrangers are only to battle the Ganglers, not being allowed to engage or pursue the Lupins.
Meanwhile, the appearance of a powerful new treasure prompts the Boukengers to reappear, thinking it's a Precious, while the Lupinrangers believe it to be part of the Lupin Collection.
While the Boukengers would be willing to work with both police forces, they come at a crossroads as they believe they can't properly contain and protect the treasure.

So now we have the Patrangers, frustrated that they believe they're being treated as inferior, butting heads with the Dekarangers, while the Boukengers are racing to get the treasure first, with the Lupinrangers trying to get all 3 teams off their backs and get the treasure before the Ganglers make proper use of it.

Hmm this would be a nice youtube series than a movie just so it does not get forcefully crammed into a feature film.
Personally I wanna see a cars-only special where Red Turbo/Riki is Kurt Russell and a team composed of rangers with car motifs or vehicles so that includes people like Bouken Black, Gokai Green, Red Buster to name a few and just have a Fast and Furious style adventure.

So where did the rumor of Carranger plan to be the last Sentai rumor came from? I did my best to track it down, but it seem like the fan subbers of Super Sentai during the tape trading days may have heard a rumor in Japan about Ohranger doing poorly with rating and people started rumors of the next Super Sentai being the last.

Or maybe the rumor was created by the Power Rangers fandom because how badly Turbo did and assume the reverse happen in Japan. I'm still digging to see where it came from like on alt.tv.sentai and and rec.arts.anime. They have the oldest discussions of Toku and other nerdy Japanese stuff you can find on the web.

I don't think anyone really knows where it came from, but I'm almost certain it's a Western rumor.

I'd take silly but unique. More out-there, memorable designs are my jam than something that could be from any sentai imaginable.

I feel the same way, as the "Cool" designs tend to just blend together and I have a hard time identifying where they're from unless they're truly memorable. More unique designs are a breath of fresh air for me, and I love seeing the creativity behind them. I'm just curious about others' opinions~

Both, I guess? Like I love all of Boukenger’s cool designs, but my all-time favorite kaijin is Noodle Dimension from Jetman.

I have seen several from Sentai, Kamen Rider, etc.. The ones that I can list off the top of my head:

Shun Sugata from Engine Sentai Go-onger (and other Toku like Juukou B-Fighter) was in Ichi the Killer, Tokyo Gore Police, Alive, etc. He also show up in some mainstream American Hollywood films too like Kill Bill and The Last Samurai.

Yumi Sugimoto also from Go-Onger (Go-Onger Silver) was in Mutant Girls Squad (Yuko Takayama from Kamen Rider Wizard is also in it)

Taro Ishida (Kentaro Hisatsu in Juken Sentai Gekiranger) is in Violent Cop, Departures, Akira, etc.

That's all I can think of all hand. Kamen Rider actors are more common to see in Japanese live action cinema that I have seen so far.

The actor who played Mega Blue in Megaranger was in an episode of the live-action version of Hell Girl.

Am I the only one who is concerned that sentai has been aiming at a younger and younger audience? They seem to be aiming at toddlers right now with lupinranger, from what I saw in episode one. I miss the old school red rangers and darkness from the 90s rangers

Yes. The old school rangers, like the team of puppet Fivemen. The old school reds, like VulEagle I, who was so dull and interesting that he was basically just a cardboard cutout of a ranger. Or the "Darkness" of the 90's, like when NinjaYellow was grown giant because he ate too much, and NinjaWhite had to transform into a hamburger to try and stop him from eating.

Sentai was so much more mature back then.

Lupin vs Pat is a solid series, and the idea that it's aimed at toddlers is just asinine.

The target audience for Sentai has always been little kids and that isn't a bad thing at all.

LvP has had some surprisingly dark moments which you miss if you blink, implications of the monster of the week already having murdered some people, human trafficking and organ harvesting having been mentioned as something that the current Gangler already did, etc. So saying LvP specifically when it had a better time slot to get away with stuff like that really bites you

We're not their target audience in the slightest so I find it kinda weird to complain about that
I've been enjoying Lupin vs. Pat pretty casually; I was a bit annoyed at how Kamen Rider had far superior plots and characterisation rn but honestly, Sentai's more casual approach has been the perfect supplement to things as all-in as Gaim and Build. Just a nice fun relaxing time compared to industrialisation destroying the world

No. It's a late 80's movie directed by Takeshi Kitano. He also directed Boiling Point which has Yūrei Yanagi from Ultraman X in it. Hiroyuki Sanada from Bioman is also in Ringu (The original Japanese version of The Ring) and has appear in a few American live action TV shows & movies (Westworld, Lost, The Wolverine).

Not certain if we have had anything that fits exactly what you are suggesting, but we do have some close candidates:

- Turboranger from Maskman: Carried both sets of Mecha depending on the situation.

- Machine Buffalo from Liveman: Same thing.

- Titanus from MMPR: Used to create two different Ultrazords with the Ninja and Shogun Megazords and could be considered a carrier!

- King Pyramider from Ohranger: Had Carrier Formation and Battle Formation, and used Battle Formation with both sets of Mecha.

- Victrailer from Carranger: Always carried the VRV Machines and could supposedly carry the Ranger Vehicles.

- Giga Bitus from Gingaman: Carried the component vehicles for Giga Phoenix and Giga Rhinos simultaneously!

- GoLiner from GoGoV: Carried both sets of Mecha in two different fashions and became a Mecha itself as Grand Liner!

- Revolver Mammoth from Hurricanger: Carried two different Mecha Combinations and the Karakuri Balls!

- DekaBase Robo from Dekaranger: Again, carried two different sets of Mecha.

- Daibouken and Daivoyager from Boukenger: Daibouken's vehicles could combine into a single vehicle formation and "carry" itself as GoGo Trailer! Daivoyager could remain in GoGo Voyager mode and carry Daibouken! Might be the closest approximation!

- Saidain from Gekiranger: Could carry GekiTouja and GekiFire for combinations!

- Gokai Galleon from Gokaiger: Carried the vehicles in itself!

- Tategami Lioh from Go-Busters: Ace and Beet could both ride it!

- Hyper Ressha from ToQger: Had a Station mode for the trains to dock with it!

- Byunmaru, Bison King Buggy, and Lion Haoh from Ninninger: Byunmaru carried Wanmaru, Rodeomaru rode the Buggy, and Haoh had two separate combinations with the two Mecha sets.

- Cube Rhinos from Zyuohger: Could carry multiple Cubes at once!

- Orion and Battle Orion Ship from Kyuranger: This might be the next closest approximation, as Orion carried the Kyu Voyagers before the Battle Orion took over! Not quite sure if Orion counts as a Mecha, but they did care when they lost it, and could be considered a character in its own right!

Probably because most Japanese kids shows and movie feel like that they can be enjoy by anyone not just kids unlike most Western kids shows and movies. Not to mention the tone and writing from the old days of Sentai and Kamen Rider are long over since the early 2000's. Japan's standers for kids media have changed over the decades.

Not just with Toku, but with other stuff like anime and manga as well. Old Shonen anime like Fist of the North Star, Jojo, City Hunter and Devilman feel like night and day compare to stuff like My Hero Academia, Assassination Classroom and Black Clover in my opinion.

Is there any reason why Shinkenger's roll call was the only roll call the way it was - the first member announces him/herself by the full name (usually Shinken Red) and everyone else goes by "the same, [color]". Doesn't seems to be because of ranks since Shinken Red did it that way once.

Doubt it! I think "Zeo" was from a dropped acronym (from what I've seen), and that Saban might have tried to make PR into Sentai and rename it, meaning that "Power Rangers Zeo" was once going to be called "Zeorangers" (also from something I've seen)! The odds of Sentai using it are slim, because there would have to be some in-show meaning behind the word, and because Toei may not want to be influenced by PR by that much!

If Akibaranger was ever brought back, then maybe...!

I'm watching Timeranger and a lot of it's music sounds similar to Zyuohger. Was this on purpose because Zyuoh was the 40th anniversary season?

I always wish Timeranger was a anniversary seasons instead of Gaoranger. You could have time travel episodes of the Timerangers meeting up with the past Super Sentai teams.
