Nobunaga The Fool 19:
So it turns out that Monkey isn't dead? Huh…kinda takes away the emotional blow from the previous episode a little. I mentioned before that Jeanne was the most useless character in the show? I take that back, because I think Mitsuhide easily takes that crown. He's pretty much a background character at this point, and hasn't really done anything noteworthy, not since killing Nobu's brother to ensure that he becomes Lord.. Mitsuhide's been portrayed as kind of the Miichi of the show. He's supportive of Nobu but there's this dark side to him that we haven't really seen get brought out. They've never really gone into depth with it which is a shame. I honestly get the feeling that the writers are afraid to take him totally down the path of the dark side. Other then that, this was a pretty solid episode even if it wasn't as action heavy as the last. We have Jeanne and Nobu obtaining power from the dragons by completing a Trial so hopefully this means their Mechs will be seeing an upgrade soon. |

Build Fighters 23.
I miss these early days where we'd get to go on a wild ride of tens of unique and excitingly designed Gundam in short battles that show them off. Normally I hate the way anime is paced, but for once I wish a show was dragged out more as I'm really sad this show is gonna be over so soon. Gonna need to find new anime to fill my life. Best moment of the episode? Hard to pick, seeing how far Sei has grown in terms of Gunpla was nice and the battle between him and Reiji was really well animated and directed. But I absolutely love Fellini as a character, and seeing him return with a new Fenice was really fun. Ral's my favourite character though, I hope with all the little hints at his past as a Fighter, he actually gets to have a Gunpla Battle before the show is over. |
Don't worry Locke, there’s a Build Fighters season 2 coming soon.
Or you could watch Gundam 00. |

I understand your situation and I know it s annoying. The official gundam youtube channel had them up until recently. I'll try to find some decent direct downloads. EDIT: A lot of the episodes are on dailymotion. I know you have a technical problem with streaming but I'll Give You The Heads Up anyways. Edit 2: There's a website that you can convert dailymtoion videos to mp4s. Its not as convenient as downloading them all at once but at least you'll have them. |

Gundam 00 episode 1
That opening theme makes me feel so nostalgic. Despite having watched the show for the first time less then a yer ago. A wild herd of Gundams appears! Aeolia Shenberg used confuse ray! It was pretty smart how they drew out the AEU forces. But oh my god the acting in this episode. Its so deadpan. Maybe its just because the actors of the Gundam meisters were getting into thier roles and this is how they are supposed to sound but good god there's so much deadpan. I also forgot how much of a fatass Gundam Virtue was. Episode 2 "I am a Gundam" Sure you are Setsuna. And my 7 year old cousin wants to grow up to be a dog. That armed intervention was pretty cool. Just the insane Gundams fighting those tank like suits. And the governments stumbling over themselves to find out about the Gundams. I like the fact that they don't side with anybody, as the show itself does bring up how everybody is pushing one side in a lot of these local wars. One of the things I love about this series is that the design of mobile suits is logical. The cheap ones that all of the local armies use look like walking tanks, while the Gundams are highly stylized and powerful due to them being custom made, with the 3 Earth group's suits being somewhere in between. I downloaded the episode in HD and my god does this show look glorious in HD. The suits look amazing and the action is bright. Granted, if you look at it up close, it looks bad but I love the HD look. |

Loved Carnival Phantasm. It had...
A heart warming scene: http://24.media.tumblr.com/4481be268...pb6ro1_500.gif And some funny ones: http://youtube.com/watch?v=TV0uM4T5zc8 Overall, it was a nice and funny mash up of characters from the Fate series and Tsukihime Series. |
Gundam 00 episode 3
God I love this show's fights. When the Exia fights, it dances, swinging across the battlefield using its sword to cut enemies clean. I also like how each pilot has a different view on certain interventions. For example, lock-On really didn't like doing his mission but Alleujah was happy to drop tens of fire bombs. Its nice to see the governments being proactive in trying to understand the tech behind the Gundams. And trying capture plans already. The intervention this episode wasn't all that special. |
Started Black Lagoon, watched two episodes and enjoying it. This is also one of the very few shows where I've chosen to watch the dub over subs, which has been an interesting change of pace from what I'm used to. So far though it seems like this has a pretty good one, at least in regard to the main characters.

Pretty Cure 01.
Cure Black for the win, who knew that playing lacrosse would be a more translatable skill for superheroing than being a genius? I guess Scott McCall... Honestly the choice to focus on characters, in a world that isn't nearly as forced with its girliness, made this opening episode a lot more enjoyable than Charge and Heartcatch. And sure there still IS girliness before someone goes "But...", but here it feels naturalistic, and they didn't drown every second in it. There was even princessiness to the fighting in the other shows, but here it feels like they're focusing on a cohesive story, rather than trying to appeal to a demographic they know nothing about. I guess this one actually has women working on it, or at least a female test audience. The opening battle was really great too. Pissard seems threatening, which makes a change for the villains I've met in these shows so far, even with his silly appearance and even sillier name. Hell even the Precure were more awesome this time, from the transformation to that combined attack. Damn. |
Gundam 00 episode 4
Everybody seems to be manipulating the fuck out of each other. But it seems like everybody but Clelestial being doesn't think about their manipulation being manipulated by CB. i like the twist that the Gundams attacked Teribia, makes a lot more sense then the "Kill both sides" plan they used last episode. Zeta Gundam episode 38 And back to the show I was watching. Not much happened aside from Kamille and Quattro getting back to space. Oh now, Reccoa switched sides . Gundam 00 Episode 5 Even though this episode didn't contribute much to the overall plot as of now, it did set up some characters/ arcs. Marie is so deadpan its not even funny. But yeah, as of now, she seems pretty messed up. Why would you accidentally fire at the colony? Get your finger off the trigger! But that scene with Dynames and the huge ass gun was pretty cool. |

Especially considering you gave the previous two one episode to judge... |
Capt.Earth 07:
Well it seems that the show finally stopped trying to explain everything to us in one episode and they finally flesh out the baddies a little more. We get a bit more action this time too. We get our first reuse of stock footage here, and while it was kind annoying I have to say: Gattai footage is much cooler when we aren't forced to sit through them every episode. I know Daichi is still a combat newb and everything but maaaaaaaaaan he really sucks at his job. Granted, he was against two opponents this time but so far every one of his fights he's either lucked out or had someone backing him up in the nick of time. |
Finished Tsukihime. Now time to watch Zatch Bell but subbed instead of dubbed.

Gundam 00 episode 6
Wow, the Gundams are picking a fight against a country whose literal economy is made up of private military organizations. Also, the AEU has plans to fight the Gundams... I think. Hire some mercenaries, poke their heads in other people's shit but not actual help struggling countries. Ah, its nice to know humanity hasn't changed in 300 years... Um... Ms. Sumeragi, you tits are falling out of your shirt during a mission, could you do something about that.... |

But yeah the princesiness OF THE EPISODES I WATCHED turned me off pretty hardcore. I personally don't think girls like in those shows actually exist anywhere on the planet. And sure we don't come here for realism, but I also don't know any girls - and I'm not sure they exist either - who turn to shows for role models whose defining traits are liking dresses, the colour pink and boys. And if that IS all they need to look up to someone then yeesh... So yeah, the choice to set Petty Cure in the real world, with actual characters, is a "tone" I really appreciated. |
Gundam 00 episode 7
Oh my. It seems Celestial Being's interventions have left another country indebted to their master. Oh and Setsuna's backstory. But more on that later I like how the Terror attacks exposes a lot of the feelings of each meister (except Allelujah) as they talk about what to do. |
Forgot to mention that I finally started Monogatari Second Season. Just in time to get it done before the next series starts! :D
I went into Tsubasa Tiger with apprehension just because I'm bored of the ungodly amount of focus this show gives Hanekawa. I know she probably has the most fleshed out background of all of the cast but her story seems to just go on and on. Thankfully this was undoubtedly the best of her three arcs, giving great characterisation to all of her personas and tying everything up nice and neatly. I think it helped that Koyomi wasn't around either, as the characters all interact quite differently without him. Meanwhile Mayoi Jiangshi was PERFECT, hands down my favourite Monogatari arc so far. Sure it sucks if you're a Mayoi fan because she's barely in it, but as a Shinobu fan I couldn't have been happier. Even though I could see the twists coming a mile off, that didn't make them any less unsatisfying to see unfold onscreen. |

Gundam 00 episode 8
"Are you here to kill me?" "No, killing you won't change the world" Makes Setsuna a million times better then Heero Yuy. Just some clean up of the terrorists at the end of last episode. More hinting at backstory for Setsuna and even some stuff for Lock-On. But Setsuna being like "Oh I'm a Gundam Meiseter and you'd better know that lady that runs the country that overran mine" is stupid. Every character in this show has done a stupid thing so far and I get it, everybody makes a mistake or two but Setsuna needs to get off the angst pills. Oh and there was some action in this episode... I think. Episode 9 "Damn it! Our character development left us wandering into enemy territory!" This was still a good episode, but its more like setup for the next one. Any of you who have seen my original posts on Gundam 00 know there's a specific Kabuto joke I'm going to make next episode. Episode 10 CAST OFF! CHANGE, NADLEEH! Oh come on, it's totally a rip off of cast off from Kabuto. I like Nadleeh a hell of a lot more then his armored form. Although I don't see what makes it different from the Exia in terms of combat abilities. But him using the cannons as glove guns was cool. I wonder if Nadleeh is a ginger.... Its hair is so fabulous! Oh my god, crying, screaming from emotional pain and psychopaths all in one episode! Hell yeah this is a Gundam series! Hallelujah you are one sick mother fucker. |

Gundam 00 episode 11
That scene at the end was one of the most fucked up things I've ever seen on any show. Also, good job to the voice actor(s) who had to pull of the conflicting dialogue of H/Allelujah. Oh hey, look a space colony. They have those in this universe? That line from the professor at the beginning of this episode "To stop the seeds of war from going into space" I think perfectly sums up this series. Gundam 00 is a story more about getting humanity to space rather then the conflicts while being in space. Some people complain about the lack of colonies in this series but personally I think that's what makes this unique. Its not your typical "Rogue Spacenoids vs Earth government" conflict. Plus, I view the space colonies conflicts as differing ideologies between people, and those happen all the time now. Now that I'm rewatching the show, I also notice a lot more foreshadowing. Just, some of the things the characters say set me off to go, "Uh huh, that's definatley gonna happen." Episode 12 Defintley the weakest episode so far. Doesn't men it was bad, but Marina's plot taking up so much time kinda annoys me. It didn't feel like anything changed the world stage this episode, let alone the characters. But it can't be amazing every episode. Episode 13 Did this really need to be a two parter? Episode 14 This was such a heavy plot set up episode that there was literally no action. It was still a good episode. The destinies of the 3 world groups and celestial being are about to intertwine. I am glad that the show gave examples of change, because with a series like Gundam about changing the world, you kinda just assume what the characters say are what's going on. Here, they have behavioral patterns and statistics. But oh my god, there was so much foreshadowing in this episode its hilarious. That entire conversation between Ms. Sumeragi and that Union guy was so peppered with dramatic irony, references to Gundam Wing and foreshadowing I couldn't take it. I should also mention the new opening and ending themes. I never cared for the ending themes. And from here on out the opening themes get worse and worse. Daybreak's bell was the best one and it should have been the theme for the entire series. Granted, they shouldn't keep that same visuals but keep the music. |
Disk 06. I know this IS basically just bad fanfiction, but this is the first episode which really felt like it. Oh well, next week it's Hulk VS Captain America.

Locke, did you ever get to watching those Gundam 00 episodes you downloaded?
