I haven't listened to Daft Punk since 98. So the most shocking thing to me was that Daft Punk is still a thing. And apparently a big enough thing to have expensive Japanese action figures. Who the hell knew this forum would be so full of Daft Punk enthusiasts.

Now don't mind me , I am going to brush up on my Daft Punk music.

I did like Derezzed, and alot of the stuff they made for Tron: Legacy.

I'd rather have both. I hope we get both. Their Tron suits were awesome, but recognition to their most famous looks is also preferable.

They did Tron: Legacy's soundtrack. Though their album releases are still as slow as ever. I mean, Tron was in 2010, was it? And I think before that their most recent album was Alive in 2007? I mean, both were great albums don't get me wrong (I think the alive mixes are better than the actual songs they were mixed from) but come on guys, let's see some proof of life.

Yeah, I liked pretty much all the usual techno stuff from Legacy, as well as the "theme song."

It'd be cool if we got actual Tron Legacy Figuarts, since they're kind of Toku. Guys in sleek bodysuits and sweet helmets with cool science-fiction weaponry.

Honestly? I don't think I'd like Tron Legacy as much as I do now if it wasn't for their music. They made the bar fight.

Music makes any movie for me. Music sets tone, and I hate when movies have generic scores.

Their music from Legacy was pretty disappointing actually. Aside from about 3 songs I felt the rest of the music was really out of character for them. I've listened to them for years though so I'm all about some figuarts of them, Discovery was great, Human After all was okay, Alive 2007 was incredible, and their new album Random Access Memories comes out on May 22nd, my birthday :D!

I thought Legacy was great, it was just different. It was still incredible to listen to. Daft Punk has done different genres, and Legacy was just that.

I get that but it didn't feel particularly different, I know they do different styles. Again, I've listened to them for a decade :lol

But Legacy felt pretty lazy aside from Derezed and maybe 2 other tracks.

I need to catch up with the times. Never really listened to Daft Punk :lol

They just announced their newest album is out in May. These MusicArts are to tie into that, I believe.

Speaking of "MusicArts" - I saw people using that term on Bluefin's Facebook page. Where did it come from? They seemed privy to the fact that this is a new sub-line, but until this reveal I hadn't seen or heard anything of the sort.

I think COllection DX Had some kind of poll up last year asking what you'd wanna see in a music arts line or something to that extent

Yeah the actual teaser didn't last long. I think the promo pic went up like an hour after the teaser.

Daft Punk are one of those artists I've always liked, yet haven't listened to nearly enough of.

I didn't think I'd care for Legacy either, so I ended up loving it. The effects, the music, Zeus, and how different it was is what made it good to me. I had never seen the original until after it, so I had no idea what I was walking into.

If you want to hear a great Daft Punk cd, check out their Alive concert as they combined two of their songs into each track and they just come out sounding amazing.

I hated that they didn't do an isolated music track for the movie when it came out on DVD.

Agreed! Alive is a fantastic album. That's the only live album I've ever heard that I really loved.

I agree completely. I normally hate concert albums since, well, I hate hearing the crowd and shit, but those songs are radical.

Also I think next time I have money I'm gonna get the Den-O Sword form Figuart because the SIC, even though I want it more, is just impossible to find for a good price. Since everybody says the Den-O Figuarts are like the best I feel like that's a good substitute for the time being.

Den-O Figuarts are very nice. Anything from New Den-O (Trilogy Version) and after are great. The older Den-O mold that was used to make Gaoh, Yuuki, New Vega, and the Original New Den-O is pretty substandard. The current mold used as the basis for Den-O Figuarts is fantastic. So it's a safe bet to get Sword Form or either of the Climax Form releases.

To think that the original NEW Den-O mould use to go for 200+ once upon a time.

Well, to be fair, it wasn't even out in Japan until a month and a half ago.

And yet both Amazon and Bluefin had a date of March for their preorders.

I'm not getting mine until the first week of April.

I ordered it on December 6th.

It's shipping in March. What's the big deal about a couple of weeks? If you wanted it as soon as possible you could have ordered from Japan using SAL and it'd have arrived weeks ago and been altogether cheaper than Amazon. Go through Bluefin and you have to wait. It's always been like that.

This was my first time preordering anything on Amazon or through Bluefin, it was at the suggestion of a user over on TFW, and after this experience I'm not going to be doing so again. Lesson was learned the minute I saw the figure up for sale on Amazon and other retailers for cheaper once it actually released in Japan.

And no, it's not shipping in March. I have the same free 2-day shipping as everyone else, but my ETA is the 4th of April.

EDIT: I read back and you're just assuming the normal free shipping is two days - it's not. You have to be a member of Amazon Prime to get that. Amazon Super Saver shipping is more like a week.

Did you have the Prime trial when you ordered it or right now? Because in either case that might be the problem. If you have it right now then you didn't when you ordered it, so it wasn't a shipping option and they won't change it for you automatically. If you had it then, it's expired so you won't get the free 2 day shipping.
