And I'm not sure why you expected Wallace at all. These are Ruby and Sapphire remakes. Steven was the Champion in those. I really don't see why you keep bringing it up.

Maybe they just shifted his main around to change things up a bit rather than have a 'central' character with a Mega Absol two games in a row.
