Ok guys, I picked up my haul today. Type Formula, Knuckle, and 3x Battle droids and clone troopers.

As described in the posts above, the Clone Trooper has the same fucked up leg situation as the original Stormtrooper. The thigh armor extends up way too high for the hip joint to be rotated forward. Totally stupid since they have two solutions (three, really). Reduce the leg armor, make a slider mechanism to get it out of the way, or use the old drop-style hips. All would work but Bandai completely dropped the ball on this pretty high profile release (licensed under SW banner blah blah blah)

I have two solutions which i did on my opened trooper:
1) Pull the leg down, away from the hip joint, down along the connector peg. This will drop the leg further down, give you additional mm's of clearance. Not perfect, but not really invasive, doesn't affect other articulation or do any damagen i can see

2) Pull the leg off entirely. Take an Exacto knife. Hack off as much armor as you want. The plastic is pretty cut-able. It's white plastic, and when you put it back, there's a black joint so you can't really tell any difference, all you're exposing is the trooper's under suit.

So I just got an email from Amazon saying they have canceled my Gold Freeza preorder. Is anyone surprised by this at this point?

However, if the previous pattern of releasing a good guy and a bad guy from each movie first continues we might see Jango Fett soon. And I'm pretty excited for that one.

Nope, don’t want a single one of those. Even with Obi-Wan I’d rather have the Episode III Version. Boba Fett is like the only OT-figure I’d buy now that RotJ Luke and Vader are already out.

So they can continue doing Prequels, The Force Awakens and maybe even EU for all I care.

I highly doubt we'd ever see EU stuff sadly. I wish they would though, SHF Revan and Nihilus would have my money in a heartbeat.

I do agree though, I'd rather buy PT stuff. I love the original trilogy, but there just isn't a lot I want. All I really need is Cloud City Luke and Boba Fett. I'd maybe bite on a Hoth Han and thus a Chewy, but I just don't need a lot from that trilogy compared to the prequels.

Yeah, I just meant I would buy them. And I think some EU might see release, The Clone Wars is currently considered to be Legends-Canon. So characters like Captain Rex are currently only canon because of their appearance in Star wars Rebels and a few lines dropped by Ahsoka Tano.

So making a figure of Clone Wars Captain Rex would be EU, but I see a good chance that this will happen someday.

Agreed. I love the characters from the OT but I don't want expensive, highly articulated and detailed figures of most of them.

Actually, The Clone Wars is full canon. So if clones sell well, I think Rex might be a possibility. That would be a cool release.

It took a fan poll for Hasbro to be willing to make a Legends character in their Black Series line. I unfortunately don't see it happening with Figuarts, even though I'd buy them.

I wonder how much longer after the premiere this week it will take for us to see Figuarts Finn and Rey revealed.

Still don't really want a Trunks (this being mass release might sway me though) but need to reiterate how great that body looks. Vegeta really needs that treatment.

Speaking of Vegeta, N-Y are processing my special colour version. For some reason I didn't think he was out until the end of the month.

I love Trunks! Definitely going to get him and if he's going to be a regular release, even better! I'm hoping that they get into Kid Trunks, Goten and Gotenks if Kid Goku does well if/when he is ever released.

I got a payment e-mail for Vader and his price is 7,830 JPY. I'm a bit surprise on how much he coast in total with EMS.

Winter Soldier should get a figure too, that one will look great with their Cap. Which I don’t own, but still.

Yeah I'll be down for any new characters, but am quite happy with my AOU figures for everyone else. Hopefully it won't take them long to branch out.

Agreed. I personally would flip out over an Ant-Man SHF. I love the new design, looks Kamen Rider-esque to me and no figure I’ve seen quite satisfied me. Aside from the Hot Toys one but that’s like 400 bucks.

Just going to echo what I said on TFW earlier - that's cool. But I really don't want to start getting variants (two Iron Men and two Captain Americas is kinda pushing it already), but if this means Black Panther, Falcon, and Winter Soldier, I'll be aaaaall over those.

Also they'll probably release Hawkeye and Black Widow now, I forgot about those but we have seen the prototypes at the Tamashii Nations event.

I'm looking forward to the Fetts, Boba & Jango, Grievous, most all of the rest of the OT cast, and a long shot for a Dark Trooper from the EU. Ever since seeing the old 3:3/4 figure, been clammoring for a 6" one. Would love to army build the hell out of those.

Finally have the First Order Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren in hand.

Some very brief initial thoughts:

Oh thank freaking god they actually changed the hips for the trooper. They kind of remind me of Awakening Goku.. which I handled the other day since my cousin got him and I kind of like the new hips. Overall just feels a lot more poseable than the others.

I personally really like Kylo Ren. Still not sure how I really like the hood, but it's not bothering me yet. Ankles could indeed use some more range though.

I’m kinda glad I didn’t get Kylo Ren because they got a detail really wrong. I won’t point it out to ruin the figure for you guys but I hate it. I think I wait if there will be a Mafex one or I just buy a statue. But the SHF? Nope.

I'm actually curious, what's wrong about the figure?

After looking it up I’m not so sure if It actually is inaccurate or not. His visor part of the mask (where his eyes would be) is textured on the SHF. Like the same texture his mantle and cowl have. Some images I’ve seen have this, including the Hot Toys figure, but in every scene from the trailers I can’t see it. It looks just like a matt black. Which would make sense since he needs to see through this thing.

I will see the movie soon so I can see it for myself, but now I really don’t know if it’s accurate or not. Please don’t spoil me, but when someone who has seen the movie could just say yes or no that would be cool.

I did notice that and was curious so I did some comparisons. It doesn't really show on shots from the film itself, but looking at some pics of just the suit at events and such it looks like the visor bit is fabric, but the texture isn't quite as pronounced as the SHF has it (the Hot Toys is pretty close).

Doesn't really ruin the figure for me though. Off hand I would say it's most likely another case of toy designers having to work off a suit without seeing the film itself.

See, that’s what I’m thinking, the suit on display has no face underneath, just the fabric that covers he neck usw. So when it is on display like that, the fabric shows. But in the movie, when there’s an actor underneath I can’t imagine it looks like that. And in the artworks it’s just plain black.

Again, I haven’t seen the movie and maybe you can’t even see it, so I don’t really know how it’s supposed to look.

So far only a single picture of the new Cap figure, he will be released in June. No other pics or teasers. Guess Disney really doesn't want the designs to surface before the partners can print it on their magazine covers.

Bandai has a "new" image of Civil War Captain America up, but it looks the same as the AoU one to me..?

Edit: Ehhh I'm seeing some differences but it is very similar. The wrist cuffs, for example. I think I can very comfortably pass on this one.
