Anyway, since you watched Gekiranger, I have no what to suggest... Why don't you go old school and watch Sun Vulcan? |

Finished Hurricanger episode 6, in which Wendinu sort of does something. I'm finding Furabiijo strangely endearing for some reason. Although I have to say that if this is a hammer, it must be very dangerous on Japanese construction sites!
http://www.shuangxi-in-spring.com/Images/t_hammer.png I am enjoying the heck out of this series so far, despite its flaws. |
Dairanger 34
A really trippy episode about Daigo and his love for a little cactus xD I liked it even though there was nothing of substance in this one except for some really awesome fight scenes. Daigo is a hardass as usual and like every Daigo episode the other Dairanger only show up for the last few minutes. My major gripe with this one is that I couldnt really figure out what the whole deal with the little girl was about and the Monster was pretty creepy xD Dairanger 35 Oh Boy another Jin episode so that means...INOUE TIME!!! Even though Jetman is my favorite Sentai I cant get used to Inoues style of storytelling. The whole episode was full with clichés and really weird visuals like the extreme close up on Ryous sweaty face. The Monster in this Episode was complete throw-away and really didnt need to be there. The whole knocking out Jin thing so the villians could kidnap and brainwash him could have been done better. And yet again none of the Dairanger got anything to do besides Ryou in this Episode. Is it so hard to focus on more than one Character per episode? I´m liking Dairanger for its action and overall visuals but most of the characters and the overall story are really not that great. |

Timeranger Episode 3
lulz at Domon's comment about Tatsuya having to take his shoes off when inside. I know Japanese apartments are different from American ones, but this looks more like an office then an apartment. Could be just me though. What an original name for a monster that's a thief. Don't you need some sort of degree or diploma to be a detective? I mean I know Yuri is a police officer and all, but it's not like those honors carry over to the year 2000. Good to see Ayase is in no way shape or form the "cool blue" of the series *sarcasm*. I wonder how the conversation went to set up their plan? "Hey uh we know about this monster's ability to hack computers and we have a plan to stop him. I know we're complete strangers and all but just trust us with your money. Nothing will go wrong!" Pretty nice car chase though. I like Ayase. Yeah he's self confident and arrogant, but I don't know, I like it on him. It isn't completely all up in your face like a certain other ranger *coughcoughtsubasacoughcough*, but it's not subdued. Ayase's "coolness" is a good balance of both. Plus he has the coolest outfit of the bunch in my opinion. Wait they were driving on the road. How the hell did they end up in the desert? They collect four white bricks and a green brick or something? Now that was an awesome fight. And even better since there wasn't any slow motion effects. You could see everything in the fight clear as day, which is obviously a good thing. So yeah, nice fight on the ground. Nice giant fight as well. A bit short but it was good enough for the time allotted. Plus hey, what are you gonna do, not like I can control how long they are. :lol the ray Yuri said research made it sound Italian. And :lol at Domon to. Fronting like he don't want none of that jacket shit. Another good episode. Not the best out of what I've seen, but it isn't the worst. I look forward to carrying on Timeranger. |
Tensou Sentai Goseiger Epic 23: Burn Up! Goseiger!
Okay, I was worried about this one but it actually turned out to be funny as hell! The many ways in which Alata and Agri try to keep Hyde from burning up was hilarious and I pretty much lost it when Hyde stepped into the battle with buckets of water on his feet and that ridiculous hat. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that Hyde is my favorite of the Goseigers now. One quick question, is Makuin of the Blob going to be sticking around for much longer? Because I just can't stand him. Edit: Can't believe I forgot to mention this but Mystic Brother was actually useful here!... as a fan! |

The Yuumajuu are easily the worst of the Goseiger Villains. |

The way the Yuumajuu are introduced is really interesting, as is the way they go out but their middle section is a SLUMP. It's easily the low point of the whole show, despite introducing a lot of key stuff. Key stuff I hated.
Dereupta is my favourite design in that show. |
Wow, I just found out someone had fully subbed GaoRanger.
Hmmmm, guess I'll be watching Gao again sooner rather than later. Oh, and Haro finally started back up on CarRanger after 10 months of being absent. Hopefully they will finish it so I can rewatch that series subbed a swell. Right now, I think Maskman is going to be my next series to watch as I have been putting it off for quite some time. |
Hasn't Gao been fully subbed for ages?

Dairanger 36
Well...that was certainly a Dairanger Episode. The Origins of Kujaku and Garas rivalry is pretty dumb. Why cant some people in Toku be bothered to actually talk with another person before they make incredible stupid decisions. The Characters still stagnate in terms of Character progression and I dont feel investet in any of them except Kou...and he didnt even show up in like forever. Well the preview for next Episode looks alright at least. |

What else can Sun Vulcan do? |
Dairanger 37 & 38
Those Episodes were pretty much one giant Episode. In and of itself I enjoyed what was happening but it showed the one major flaw this show has. The Story is so unbelievably unfocused. Instead of telling a cohesive Story they introduce new plot threads every other Episode. Worst of it all is that they cover one of those threads for like two Episodes at a time and then completely abandon it for another ten Episodes. What purpose does it serve to introduce Daijinryuu so late into the series instead of focusing on stories that are already there? Dairanger 39 So I guess the Jin story is now over. Yeah not sad to see that storyline go as I didnt really enjoy it all that much. Jin could have been a cool antagonist for Ryo if they had featured him more often in the show itself. It doesnt help that I am not a real fan of Toshiki Inoues style of writing. His whole Story came of as Fuwa Juuzo from Shinkenger but not as well done. Dairanger 40 Speaking of things that should have been featured more often in this show. The three Stooges were overall pretty fun characters and helped giving Shouji some desperately needed character focus. If they would have gotten more than three or four episodes spread over fourty we could actually care about their relationship with Shouji or could have seen Shouji grow as a character. Instead they are written out of the show and like everytime one of the Dairanger has a moment that resembles character progression I bet its forgotten next episode. |

Oh, and Juuzo's story came like 16 years AFTER Jin's, so really, Juuzo copied Jin. As for the rest, haven't you heard the term less is better? I'd rather have less screen time for Kiba Ranger so that when he does show up, it is special. The same goes for the 3 Bakas. Three episodes is more than enough for them. The best thing about DaiRanger is that they don't over do it and each character gets their own subplots. All of the subplots you are facing will be finished by the end, which will then bring on new questions. However, I can already tell you are going to hate the finale. |

Zyuranger 20-22
Oh yeah, already in the early twenties, haha xD So far, I really like the show. It is still kinda random plot-wise, but I feel the whole Burai-story will get the plot on track now. I like the characters and the overall feeling of the show. As for the last few episodes, the stuff that happened around Burai was pretty damn cool, the candle thing and the flute for summoning Dragon Caesar (even though I hope they explain the candle stuff a bit more). I loved the family reunion with Burai and Geki. Though Daizyujin is an idiot. Even GaoGod was a better guy than him. As for the villains... all that plays in my head right now is Bandora's song. Dora dora dora.... |
