Is it just me or is toqger actually really good? I heard a lot of things about it that put me off of watching it, like the daigo show but I find it oddly hypnotic. The show is just so.......modern sentai that I can't help but like it.

Also Lupinranger is rather awesome, the new ranger is a bit iffy for me though.

Yep. It is good. The latter stories were just pure gold. So many feels. As for the suits, I too am guilty of at first glance making fun of them, but it grew on me after a few episodes and now they are one of my favorite suit designs.

Keep trying new things while go back to the franchise's roots once in a while. It finally paid off this year so I hope they keep the ball rolling so to speak.

Kyuranger and Lupinranger vs. Patranger have been more experimental with the fundamental team-set up than your usual archetype - ie neither goes for 3-5 rangers in one team with one or two extras joining later - so I'd hope to see them continue that trend.

In my feline/cat sentai the sixth member is a homage to king ranger from Ohranger, black with golden schemes.

How strong lupat's vs changer supposed to be? Sometimes it can make an explosion but sometimes it don't even make too much damage like when lupinred and lupinblue's fight. It's really confusing.

Has anyone listened to the Lupinranger vs. Patranger soundtrack with the original audio drama yet? If so, do they say what animal the Gangler Natcho Creepy is supposed to be based on?

If Shout releases Goranger on DVD or Blu-Ray in the US, how would you want it to be release. Would you buy it int one big pricey set or buy it in sets? It is the longest Super Sentai show and I would imagine you would have to pay over $100 if you want all of the episodes in a single Blu-Ray set in the US.

Not complicated, as Shout! did something similar for MMPR; Individual Season Sets and Large Box Sets!

As it stands, Goranger would get a DVD only release at this stage!

The Movies are another matter, as some are just Individual Episodes in an Expanded format! "Bomb Hurricane" is the only original production!

I do want Shout! to release the Movies at some point, no matter the cost!

Release Sets with some of the Movies and Team-Ups: Dairanger-Ohranger VS. Kakuranger, Carranger VS. Ohranger-Gingaman VS. Megaranger, etc.

A lack of early Movies means "Super Sentai World" should also be included!

On a separate note, Goranger should cross-over (Dimension-Hopping Story) with P.R. in a less-than-subtle nod to Sentai (especially since the Action Card Game from Megaforce already included four of the Goranger in its own right)! Then a release of the first Sentai on Western Discs would make a lot more sense and wouldn't seem as random or merely placating the fandom!

Goranger has a Blu-Ray release in Japan. Shout can easily use those HD masters for a US release.

I don't think it would be too much more expensive...Granted, I don't really know the price of what would likely be 2 additional discs, though.

While I agree, I think the problem they have with LuPat is that they're clearly more interested in the Lupin side of things rather than the Pat.

I think next Super Sentai series will be back to 5 members in one team again.

Yeah, they should've give Patrangers backstory like Lupinrangers. There is nothing interesting about Patrangers that can be explored.

The Lupinranger vs Patranger special epsiode about previous Patren Nigou actually is really interesting. This special episode also focused to some of Patranger past and Patranger are trying to destroy one of most hated Gangler Monster, Zonic Lee.

The GSPO itself can be more explored if the writer are trying to explain about GSPO origin. Who is the GSPO founder? How GSPO is founded? What if other countries (beside France and Japan) has GSPO branches as well? etc.

Three girls get magically transported to a fantasy world where they effectively have to kill off an entire royal court until it turns out that this makes them the villains in on story somehow and their whole mission to protect the princess was also to kill the princess?

I'm not bug with the theme from the sentai 2019 besides, it will be interesting to see a dragon-themed sentai.

Like what Gosei said, Liveman is a safe bet. A few others that are not 'dark' but have somewhat of a serious tone overall that I can think of at the top of my head would be Flashman, Maskman, Jetman, and Shinkenger. But Liveman for sure.

Changeman and Flashman have some dark stuff too.

Would be interesting to see a sport sentai have a member represent basket and having a bull mecha making allusion to the Chicago Bulls.

Guys ever since the whole debacle about Ryusouger being 'lazy' and 'safe', it got me thinking, does the Zords/mecha is what ultimately prevents Sentai for being creative with their themes? Ever since the beginning we had only two archetypes: vehicles and animals.

I mean Sentai could have a sports-based team or even a freaking food-based team (which is why Kamen Rider is so wild when it comes to themes), but then when it's the Zords, they are restricted.

I'd like to see a robot based on Dairugger.

Personally I think thematically it does not limit them, though I would like to see more humanoid ones like how Kakuranger, Ohranger, Carranger, and Magiranger did.

Would be interesting to see a sentai in the lines of the rescue heroes from the metal hero franchise.
