Tensou Sentai Goseiger Epic 24: The Miracle Attack Goseigers

Well, that's was... well, epic! :lol

Bringing back the previously destroyed Yuuma Beasts was a pretty good way to show how the Goseigers have grown thus far and the build up to the Miracle Headers was possibly the most breath taking thing I've seen in a sentai since the finale of Gokaiger.

Yeah, the super Goseigers still look ridiculous to me but this is Sentai we're talking about so I'll let it slide as seeing them in action was absolutely awesome. The highlight of course being not the fight itself but Alata jumping in the way of the Abare Header's fire blast and trying to reason with it. It's moments like that that honestly make me question why people hate this series so damn much.

Thus far Goseiger has proven to have very well written and fleshed out characters, and story that's gripping and even incredibly moving at times as well as a kick ass musical score and fantastic mecha (Aside from Mystic Brother) and suit designs. Seriously people, what is so bad about this show that I'm somehow completely missing?

It's a mystery no one could solve so far....

My personal hypothesis is when it came out. It followed Shinkenger, a show which drew in quite a few new fans to the Super Sentai series and was rather popular. And after came Gokaiger, I don't have to explain that one.

Goseiger is that special type of show that almost everyone hated when it first came out but gained a big following over the years.

I've been watching Go-Onger and I've been really getting into it. Hovever, the final episode I watched this morning really made me say "WTF!?!"

Episode 31 - Idol Debut

Ok, idol singing to destroy a non Gaiark enemy? It was totally bad, and really left a bad taste in my mouth.

One star is probably too good for this episode. The only reason for 1 is the ladies were cute. Hopefully 32 is better.

Wait, are you guys seriously confused why people disliked Goseiger?
4 villain factions. Only one gets to develop (The obvious one), while the others you either love on sight, which they get removed 15 episode later, or you hated, and they had no chance to grow on you since, as you know, they'll be gone in another 15 episodes.
Basically, good villains are killed off too quickly, bad villains don't get a chance to become badasses.
It was chaotically paced and the climactic battles lose a bit of their gravitas when they're on their 4th climax.
There. Gosei criticism that isn't about the cake.

And before everyone starts with their "Well, just because you disliked it" stuff, I am a Goseiger fan.

Is KyoRyuger any good?

Goseiger really was a show that burnt out quickly. The Wartstar arc is in my opinion perfection, from start to finish, but starting so strong it pretty much lost all of its energy by the first quarter of the show.

Gosei Knight was pointless, the Super Modes were ugly, boring and way overused, the shows mythology sucked, the new set of revolving villains were always around too briefly to ever be appreciated, having about five thousand robots was stupid and pointless and although Alata was fantastic from start to finish, no other character in that show can say the same.

Not really.

Kyoryuger is great if you're five years old, for everyone else the juvenile gags constantly get in the way of the good stuff. Or at least, they did, I couldn't get past the twelfth episode when the sixth Ranger rolls in and completely throws the team off balance. For all I know, after that, it could have flowered into a masterpiece.

There are about 15 great, classic episodes of Kyoryuger. The rest are amiable enough, but YMMV depending on how able you are to ignore flatulent dinosaurs.

I was really into Kyoryuger's cast. Their charm and chemistry alleviated a lot of my qualms.

That depends; are you deaf? Because if not it is annoying as all hell.

Ugh...

Not to mention great highlights like an episode about tooth ache, a monster who is defeated with tickling and a power that makes your sword flaccid!

16 eps into Timeranger and I am LOVING this series. Was drawn into it from the get go...It's a little different from the other Sentais I've watched. Can't wait to watch more!

Kyoryuger is a bright show with ALOT of comedy and is not heavy on story. The Characters and the fun atmosphere are what kept me hooked the past year.

I cannot wait for them to finish it as I have been wanting to rewatch this show again, but fully subbed this time. It would also be nice if that other group were to finish Gingaman already as I want to watch that series fully subbed as well.

.. Okay this episode was alot of WTF is happening.

The best scene though, for me, was Agaki-Old Man breaking rules and transforming in reality to save Sayaka-San. I cheered, I woke people up, I am not ashamed.
I knew he'd up being who he ended up though :lol But still enjoyed watching the reveal. And a human looking bad-guy is something I wish Sentai would start using again. Like they did alot in Showa.

Next episode though I finally get to see DeluKnight in action.

Meh, those are VHS rips. I'd rather just watch my R2 DVDs than deal with shitastic quality just for subtitles.

Except I'm really really stubborn when it comes to video quality. I hated VHS as a kid and I never want to watch anything in that utterly garbage looking quality ever again. I would rather watch something raw in DVD quality than deal with a subtitled VHS quality.

Very stubborn indeed. Personally I don't mind VHS quality. Then again I am the site's resident VHS collector and still love VHS as a whole, so I guess I'm a little bias. But still, I'd take subs with any video quality if it means I could fully understand what's going on. Nothing wrong with watching anything raw but when given the choice, I tend to go with the subs.

Yeah, it's cool. I'll just wait for OT to eventually get back to subbing the show while I continue to watch episodes 17-50 raw. Of course, that is provided I even get to it before they do more as I haven't rewatched the show since 2007.

Of course, there are other factors too. Those videos just look terrible and really blurry when they are display on a 42 inch tv screen. The other issue is that I hate streaming things like this. I want to be able to just plug them onto a flash drive or hard drive and plug them directly into my tv.

That is incorrect. Takumi was played by GekiBlue's twin brother, not GekiBlue. </Comic Book Nerd voice>

Yup yup. Retsu/GekiBlue was played by the older brother, Takagi Manpei, while Takumi was played by the younger brother, Takagi Shinpei.
Though Shinpei appeared once as GekiBlue, that was in Episode 38, where he played Retsu's reflection...

Any reason as to why they just did not take advantage of there being straight up twins with their Geki castin? It would have been awesome to have identical twins be rangers for once.
