Basically because they had the characters written before the actors were casted. I guess they could have used Shinpei as Violet, but Gou was a lot older than Retsu and his character type wouldn't have fit Shinpei, so they had someone else do it.

They needed a someone to portray a rough, older brother, and a twin just didn't quite work for Gou's role.

I would've been cool to have twin brothers be rangers, though.

One question though.. Does S2 have a better ending? I really don't want to go through another season, care, then get a damn clip show trolling again.

Season Two has some great moments. I wouldn't let concerns about the ending make you miss out on those. Episode 9, in particular, has a brilliant bit that's one of my favorites of both seasons.

Episode 05 "Delusional Imports" is a brilliant Episode of the second season and describes pretty good how some people feel sometimes in regards to Power Rangers.

IMO Season 2's ending is far worse than Season 1's.
Though I noticed, you didn't say anything about Episode 12... That's more of the "real" ending.

The last episode is a clip show again, but it's a clip show with an actual important plot point at the end.

Finished Timeranger a couple of days ago, absolutely loved it. Definitely made you want more eps after it.

I enjoyed 12. Malshiina saving Old Man, and everything that happened with them realizing it's a show.

I hated Season 1's ending but found Season 2's ending fantastic.

The last episode is still a clip show, but its far more relevant.

Does anyone have any recommendations/ I want to watch another Sentai series but none of them are really catching my attention except one. And I cant find it fully subbed anywhere. I've watched Shinkenger, Gokaiger and Kyoryuger. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, thanks.

Usually the tone. I watched a bit of Gekiranger and my personal prediction was right. It cant match JF for me. Like I say like things that are fully subbed which is why I don't want to go pre-Hurricanger. Is Abaranger fully subbed anywhere? I usually love the more light hearted series but can get into a bit more serious.

Gaoranger, Dairanger, Zyuranger, Jetman, Maskman, Sun Vulcan... Wait, you don't wanna watch Sun Vulcan.

Nah, Abaranger is far from fully subbed.

You should continue with Geki. It outperforms JF for me~

Otherwise, you might like Goseiger.

I agree with Switchblade, Dekaranger was amazing. However, if you're feeling ambitious, should go old school and watch Jetman.

I second that, despite it's flaws Goseiger is a pretty fun and lighthearted Sentai all around. Sure, say what you want about the characters lacking growth and development here and there but you must admit they are endearing and fun to watch... EXCEPT DATAS!

My resource for Sentai only has episode 1 of SV.

Anyone aware of these guys? For all I know this is common knowledge, but no one told me they were one episode away from finishing Megaranger.

I was unaware, myself. Huh. I just might give it a watch so I can see the Psycho Rangers/Nejirangers in their original series.

I've heard of them but only because of Megaranger.

Plus they're actually active so it seems the project will actually get finished. Gonna get Zubat off them as well.

Oh lol, I just mentioned them in the "Where to start thread" and was coming here to tell everyone about them.

My partner has seen every episode they've done and loves them and I've seen the first two episodes and so far they're pretty good. They update very regularly, usually 1-3 episodes a week. I believe the last couple of episodes were done just last week and the final episode is expected this weekend or early next week.

By "They're pretty good," does that mean the sub quality or the series itself? :lol

Sub Quality, I haven't seen enough of the series to make a proper judgement. I only start watching series that are finished so I've been biding my time to make sure these guys WILL finish before I started Megaranger.
