Honestly I don't need a dub to enjoy a show. Certainly not Turn A which I've watched subbed for over 10 years. Anymore dubs just aren't things I expect or want with anything.

Bandai can have their expense blu-rays. But all I ask is for a cheaper digital options for everything. I would have never watched Unicorn if it wasn't on PSN for 1/10th the prices of their blu-rays.I think if they made digital an option, the fanbase would get larger due to the lower cost of that method and Bandai would be more willing to take risks with the physical releases.

I also want to note that the BF Try kits I got are licensed by Bluefin. So it seems they're starting to slowly be distributed among stores across the state.

I want to wait for a possible blu ray release of Turn A here but might settle for the DVD for now. Did the Japanese release come with subs? I prefer subs.

Also it has been a decade since I built an MG kit. I know much has changed. The good thing about Plamo is that unlike toys, they're in constant production, even Gunpla kits from the early 80's can be had for cheap. It isn't like the 90's where the only places that sold them were Hungates, some comic shops, et al. These days you can get them from Hobbytown, amazon, Barnes and Nobles, several online stores, et al. So I'm in no rush to catch up. Trying to get rid of stuff, save money, make space, et al.

Doesn't mean I don't want to add to my Gunpla backlog. Are the newer MG kits sans polycaps, sturdier than the older kits with polycaps? I don't treat my Gunpla like toys(led to disaster when I was a lot younger). Only MG I've ever built was Spiegel Gundam and I screwed in the shoulder wrong so it's jacked up(never use a screwdriver that's too big at the wrong angle! FAIL!).

Before that I built the following:
  • 1/100 Gundam Epyon
  • 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero
  • 1/144 Gundam Deathscythe Hell
  • 1/144 Wing Gundam
  • 1/144 Gundam Virsago
This is what I built a few years ago:
  • HGUC G30th RX-78-2
  • SD Gundam Exia
  • SD Gundam AGE(1-3 swap bundle set)
  • SD Gundam Quant 00 or whatever it's called

Yeah, the newer MGs tend to have fewer polycaps and they have been more sturdy in my experience.

You know a lot of Gundam shows have distinct designs. But why the heck does all the kids in Destiny/Seed Destiny have that similar face design.

Meh, most anime characters look the same to me, unless they have a really distinct style.

My problem with Seed is how uninspired and uncolourful the desins were.

Actually what surprises me is the amount of animes that came out around that era that reuses a lot of the character designs.

Fafner comes to mind, off the top of my head.

I wouldn't be surprised that their designs would be the same. because it's the exact same.

but yeah, SEED's art is so bad I sometimes confuse a girl for a boy and vice versa.

Looking at the wiki entry now: It looks like the same character designer was involved.

the main character in fafner looks exactly like shin.

The Ver Ka? It's a piece of art with a couple minor flaws like the connector that attaches the shield to the shoulder not being very solid. But that isn't a big deal since it mounts on the arm as well.

I found out my local anime shop had a ton of Banshe Norns HG kits before I went up and bought my kits X_X, If only I had been a day earlier I could've gotten one.

I saw some pictures on gundam guy's blog for the next episode of the Origin and it has the prototype mobile suits in it. Is anyone interested in buying prototype mobile suit kits? And I don't mean the zaku 1, I mean the hunk of junk robots that built the space colonies and were just given guns and a few mods.

I guess so, they even had a ton of the original BF kits and stacks MG Ver Ka wing Gundam kits and they were all sold out, only having a couple of Gouf R35 and Build Mk. II when I went up there.

Funny..My parents often call me out for spending my salary on gunpla. And now my dad found out that his boss is a hardcore gundam fan and is now asking advice from me. Ironic isn't it.

Also I'm thinking of buying a Mg Age Titus to customize into a super robot but I'm not sure if its big enough.

Yes it getting loose after played that happen to all HG with heavy load backpack . i put little supur glue to fit it.

By the way have any one collect Gundam thunder bolt series they have many detail and look great,I really want these one to come out.

Built the HGBF Try Burning Gundam yesterday. Really like the kit, especially the amount of flame effect parts that it comes with. Very articulated and a lot of hand options. Can't wait to build the rest of the team. I also built the HG Avalanche Exia last week but haven't got around to photographing it yet.
