A very Kevin Sorbo level of disappointing. I mean they could have at least taken notes from the All-New, All-Different Iron Fist tracksuit at least. To hell with this. Glad I did not even set foot. Would have been better if Iron Fist was a recurring character in Luke Cage and they just made Shang-Chi instead. |
I try to watch Iron Fist and I found it kinda boring.
|
It was alright. Season 2 was a marked improvement.
Honestly, much like Daredevil, I found the human element to be the most interesting part. Ward and his story was much more interesting than Danny's. Unfortunate that, with S3 cancelled, it means he'll ultimately have the unresolved story, as Colleen, Danny, and Mary can continue on in other Defenders shows. |
Deleted video because fake. Damn Facebook.

Another Netflix series bites the dust. Luke Cage has been cancelled. So i'm guessing there's two possible reasons. 1. Disney has or wants to set up their own streaming service and are slowly getting rid of the netflix series one by one. OR 2. They're making a Heroes For Hire show, hence why the cancelled luke cage and iron fist.
|
Disney doing their own streaming site is a bad idea. They should stick with doing Netflix shows. If they do their own streaming website, they will probably want it to keep family friendly as possible.
|
That's disappointing. I loved Luke Cage. Would've been nice for all 4 Defenders Netflix series to get at least 3 seasons, considering they all had open endings.
I'm keeping my hopes up for a Heroes for Hire series, at least. |
The only saving grace for a Disney streaming service would probably be that all the MCU movies will be there and I get to watch this in HD.

Also Fred Savage for some reason. |
Man, it feels good to be the only person who enjoys life and enjoys seeing silly stuff like this these days.

Random thought while reading recent Avengers comics, I hope for phase 4 they give Gabriel Luna's Robbie Reyes a spot in the main roster for phase 4 Avengers. Feels like a waste to have him just linger in the realm of Agents Of Shield.

Spider-Cop is officially part of the Marvel Comics Cannon. |
|
It seems that a Shang-Chi movie will be in the works.
|
So Nick Fury is a cat person.
Who knew? |
|
I'm so excited~

2019 is gonna be insane.

How many people here have seen Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse?

The art direction was GORGEOUS. The color palette was so vibrant but was just the right saturation that it did not hurt my eyes when all the crazy visual stuff was shown. Gwen was cool and I loved how she was the kickass senpai to Miles pretty much. Hailee Steinfeld was perfect for this particular Gwen I thought. The trivias sprinkled throughout the movie were fun to look for. Nicolas Cage got his groove back and crushes it as Spider-Man Noir. Lily Tomlin's aunt May was a fun character and I loved how she was as tough as the other web warriors. Love the Prowler suit design. I loved the progression and I loved that his dad was voiced by Mr. Paper Boi himself Brian Tyree Henry. Dude has a good voice, would love to hear him in more animated stuff in the future. Chris Pine playing Miles' world's Peter was unexpected but cool. I guess that explains the blonde hair? Also probably a nod to Ben Reilly I am guessing. Oscar Issac as Spidey 2099. YES. YES. YES. What good is Alchemax without Spider-Man 2099 right? :thumb: Too bad my favorite machinegun toting Toei Spidey and his glorious Leopardon was not around for the film. :thumbdown Overall great animated film and something worth watching in the theaters twice if possible. |
Lionsgate MMPR Zach/Black Ranger actor Ludi Lin seems to want to play Shang-Chi in the MCU.
Thoughts? Personally I think it could work. |
|
I thought the first MCU Spider-Man was not very good and I found myself disliking it after more than one viewing. I'm not sure if this movie will be any better or not.
|
That looks great, I can’t wait to watch that.

I still hope we get an Into the Spider-verse sequel. One of the producers at Sony said that the movie needs to make 200 million in the US box office to get one and I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Sony is already planning on developing a sequel as well as a spin-off focusing on Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and Silk. |

Speaking of Spiderverse, I finally saw it for the first time the other day and what a masterfully done movie. This is the best Spiderman movie that's ever come out, period, it trounces all over Homecoming.
Well deserving of the Oscar. I want more Spiderverse movies, I want them to give us solo movies of the Spidermen they used in this film. Give me a Spiderham movie and I'll even watch it. Gah, I just can't stop gushing about this film. |
Did anyone else not like Homecoming besides me?

It's just...not a very good movie when compared to other MCU movies we've gotten at that point. Like the main thing bugged me about the film was that they never really stopped beating you over the head with the fact that it's in the MCU now. |
I just liked Peter being Peter. I love the Raimi films, but the bullying Pete received was too over the top, and McGuire always had that Power Rangers vibe of being a 20 something playing a freshman in high school.
I enjoyed the first Amazing Spider-Man, but there were times where Garfield looked like a total fuckboy, and his bitching about his parents made no sense, and I completely had to side with May basically smacking him down with the fact that they left him when he was, like, 3 or 4, and should have borderline no memories about them, and that she and Ben raised him. The sequel kind of ruined the Amazing Spidey movies for me... I enjoyed Homecoming simply because it was just...More enjoyable. Peter was a nerd, but he wasn't literally being bullied by everyone (Including a goddamn bus driver), he had a best friend that wasn't fucking Osborne, so you weren't waiting for the (not) twist of him turning evil, the romance plot wasn't half of the film (Though it wasn't really that strong here, tbh), we didn't have to tread through Ben's death for a 3rd time (Nor have it brought up every 30 minutes), and the stakes weren't just "[Love interest or May] is gonna die if you don't stop me!" I enjoyed Homecoming not because of MCU hype, but simply because it was finally what I wanted out of a Spider-Man film. That being said, Spider-Verse blows it out of the water, but out of the live action films, I'd rewatch Homecoming before watching any of the other Spider-Man films (Except maybe Spider-Man 2. I still like that one a lot :lol) |

Homecoming's biggest issue is similar to what's happened with Joker from DC. People have now 3 different live action Spiderman universes and there was only a 2 year difference between Amazing Spiderman 2 and Civil War so there's some slight Spidey fatigue I feel
