Decade was funny. Not ha-ha funny, more like "dude did you just grab my butt" funny. I really liked the Hibiki episodes, and the Den-O ones were okay, but I struggle to remember the other few arcs I watched. (I only watched a handful)

I hated Kiva's world because I love Kiva and hated the freaking kid Wataru from Decade. |
Agito Episode 5
Hey look, the baby was from Baby Geniuses. It has to be considering it was strong enough to break out of the glass box, walk like a normal human being, and open a door. ... :lolol I think I'm in love with this family. They are so fucking hilarious, especially in this scene. The sound effects, the way it was all shot, their facial expressions, just comedy gold. I mean this is some piss your pants funny stuff. It's on the same level of some of the moments in 555. I pretty much lost it at the "NO TEA FOR YOU!" part. Very great comedic scene. If I stop watching the series after this episode, then I at least have one favorite scene with this. Geee you're an asshole coach. Ryou came to you for help in a time in his life when he's really confused and isn't sure how to live. He came to you wanting guidance, but instead you turned your back on him pretty much and instead of confronting him, you turned all pussy and had the other swimmers do it. I'm just going to assume he turned into Gills and you're afraid of him becoming a monster. But Mana as a young girl (how old is she exactly? I'm going to guess 12 or 13 since her uniform is typical for middle schoolers) was able to get past the initial shock/fear of seeing somebody close to her transform into a slightly monstrous form. So why can't you as an adult grow a set and speak with Ryou face to face instead of wimping out? I smell a coverup. What does O-Parts stand for anyways? You know after the scene with the coach, and this scene right here, I really feel sorry for Ryou. He was at the top of his game until the Unknown appeared. Since then he's changed in ways that are alienating him from everybody else, leaving him alone. It's quite sad to be honest. Not sure who the girl in the photo is exactly. I'm going to assume a girlfriend or ex, though it could very well be a family member or close friend. Dat eyebrow wiggle :lol Dat reaction from Shouchi and Taichi :lol More psychic time from Mana eh? I would question if this will get explained, but I don't know. It seems like something that will keep coming up in the series that could potentially garner an explanation. Well at least I hope so. Mana I think he needs all the studying you are getting and more. Well those kids are going to need therapy down the line. Shouchi Tsugami: Ladiesman he is not. Oh my God it's the Japanese Damien! Run for your lives! Send the maids home! Confiscate all tricycles! And you're one of them Shouchi. Seriously cool your balls down and take a shower. So is Shouchi and Hikawa's relationship going to be like Shini and Ren's? To where Shouchi constantly annoys Hikawa and gets his name wrong? Also I'd like to just go ahead and call it now that Mayumi is Ryou's girlfriend. It appears that I was indeed correct. Yay me. Oh me lordy the feels again. Is every scene involving Ryou going to be like this? Because between this and God, Please Give Me More Time, Japanese television is going to have me softened by the end of the year. Dammit...I blame Decade! I should have seen this coming from a mile away. This kid is totally the Antichrist! He has to be, he has to be. What else could he be? Anybody else get an Incredible Hulk feel there? Well episode five is now complete and thus my first five rule is now complete. How was the episode and will I continue to watch the show to justify me wanting to get quite a few of the Figuarts? Once again we are ever so graced with a story. Great right away from that. Obviously the story was pretty much focused on Ryou even though it does seem to be focused on Mana and Shouchi. While that is true, it all ties into Ryou's, so I feel it's his episode more than the others'. The story itself was pretty good and had some good feely moments to it as I took note of. Well paced IMO. As for adding anything to the main story, it kinda did with showing off that kid more, but I don't think it did it a whole lot. So I would probably just say no just to be safe. We got character development as well in the episode. And just like the story I feel as if all of it went right towards Ryou. It doesn't show a whole lot, but I do believe he developed as far as slowly getting himself back out in the world and interacting with friends. The episode also did a good job at introducing Mayumi, quickly setting up both who she is and her personality. So I applaud the episode for doing that and helping move Ryou along. As for the action, I liked it this episode. I really did. Even though it kinda got thrown in right at the end, I thought it was good for once. It had a nice length to it and featured the all important back and forth aspect. Shouchi didn't just show up and pwn everybody, nor did the villains pwn everybody. There was an obvious struggle between the fighters which led to good action. So for once it was good. So how does the episode fair in the end? Probably the best one so far, which means that it outdoes four. It hit every aspect it should; it was entertaining, it had a good story to it, it had good character development, and had good action. Everything ran pretty smoothly to me in this one. So critically it was good and I personally enjoyed it. So will I keep watching at least up to episode 10? Yeah, I think I will. Episodes four and five really kicked it into high gear and have held me interested through both of their run times, especially five. So I'd say it justifies at least watching 6-10. After that I'll decide if I truly do want to watch the rest of the show. |
Agito is an incredible show with some amazing character development. This show is very character driven compared to other Kamen Rider series. In fact, the only other show I would say that is as character driven is Kiva.
