Anyone watching No Game No Life? I keep seeing that it's "the most popular" series of the new season, but I have a really hard time buying that at all. I read some of the manga and it just did not seem all that great at all.
|
So amazon.co.uk as on pre-order the first 3 films of one piece in one box set dubbed
|
Ohh things are getting awesome in Blue exorcist.

Gundam 00 season 2 episode 23
This shit's gone fucking insane! Seriously, from everybody going Trans-am to the hundreds of suicide suits, to the action, it's fucking insanity!!!!! Ribbons really did pull out all of the stops this time around. The one bad thing I could say about this episode is that there's no character development. But with nonstop action this insanely awesome I can overlook that. |
They have Kill La Kill on Netflix now.

Gundam 00 season 2 episode 24
An amazing character episode. I'm glad everybody got a somewhat happy ending. I think Saji needs to put a restraining order on Louise. That bitch is fucking insane. Innovade controlled or not. |
Checked out the opening episode of No Game No Life and wow...the fetishism of Shiro is so fucked up, she's eleven, what the fuck?! If that wasn't bad enough, they seem to have also sexualised the relationship between the two siblings combining incest and paedophilia together. Wonderful. If it wasn't for that shit it might have actually been enjoyable, with solid art direction and really good animation.

Gundam 00 season 2 episode 25
That final episode was pretty satisfying. Although, I find the battle between the 0 gundam and Exia R2 to be the strangest final battle I've seen. Not in terms of the action but the concept. It'd be like in the final episode of OOO, Uva turned into a Kamen Rider 1 look alike for some reason and OOO got powered down to Tatoba. but yeah, I enjoyed this episode. I'll give my revisited full thoughts on the series later. |
Episode 111 of gash bell seems to be a Big boing centered episode... Okay then. My reaction to it would be of:

So basically don't bother with it? |
Gundam 00 Wrap up
Let me say this to start, I still love Gundam 00, its my favorite Gundam and probably my favorite anime (although I haven’t watched a lot of anime mind you). This rewatch reminded me of why I love television and Gundam so much. Season 1 has its moments for me, and it is quite good, but season 2 is my jam. I am so on board with kicking the A-laws’ asses. Plus, I like the character focus in season 2 a lot more. But, rewatching 00 made me notice a lot more of the flaws. There’s a handful of Deus Ex Machinas (particularly with Tiera’s machines), plot holes (Why did no one at Celestial Being mention Ribbons Almark worked for them), unexplained events (was there a split between Celestial being and the Innovades? And were the Trinities Innovades or Alejandro was doing his own innovator scheme with Nena?) to pointless subplots (Louise becoming an Innovator) and annoying shitty characters (Any Innovade that wasn’t Tieria, Ribbons or Anew ). There’s also the fact that Smearnoff and Sumeragi have the exact same backstory. And Saji really doesn’t do much. And Graham Aker was useless. And they give Sestuna too many rivals. I can totally understand people who don’t love the series as much as I do, however, what this show does right propels it much further up then the negatives bring them down. All of the Gundam Meisters feel distinct and have interesting personalities. Sure, Setsuna is stone cold and emotionless at times, but he does take concern with other people quite often. Lyle/Neil is the lighthearted dude who tries to bring people close to him to understand them. Alleujah is quite a loner but opens up to be passionate and caring. Tieria is the one I’m really proud of. From being essentially a living computer only meant to follow the plan to being someone fighting for what he knows is right. The Gundam designs are beautiful. They are unique and the angled panels make them look beautiful. Even the season 1 designs, which I don’t care as much for, are beautiful designed, colorful and filled with rich technological detail. I really can’t compare the action to either Seed/Destiny or Age, the ones before and after, because I haven’t seen them. The action is beautiful. With a mix of beams and physical swords, and the Exia’s dancing style of combat are really good mix and look beautiful in HD. Trans-am is beautiful, it is an awesome visual effect and is totally badass. Granted, the uniqueness of it wears off once everybody goes trans am by the end of season 2. The story was really great too. It wasn't about space colonies but rather getting there. Its interesting to see a Gundam series that’s trying to unite people through the actions they do in battle rather then just completely eliminating one army entirely. I think I would consider this a spiritual prequel to some of the other Gundam Universes. there's more overall story in season 1 but its more episodic. Whereas season 2 has a much more overarching plot that's a lot simpler. The sci fi aspects for me were all over the place. On the one hand I like the GN particles, even if they are just minovsky particles, because they at least take the time to explain them in the show. The Gn particles also worked like energy, where you could manipulate it in tons of different ways. And I like how the blocs and the Federation don’t use nuclear power due to having the elevators and unlimited solar energy, which is safer to use. But on the other hand, I question the likelihood of subatomic particles evolving a human, pokemon style. I can’t give a score on the show since its kinda hard to put a number on it, but I really, really, really love this show. |
Sorry for the double post
Turn A Gundam 1 The fuck did I just watch? I get its set up for the mood and atmosphere but it literally offered nothing of interest to keep me going for the rest of the show. The nudity felt really really awkward. Like these are 13 and 14 year old kids, I don't think they should take nudity very lightly. And that random nude sunbather near the end of the episode. |

Turn A Gundam is pretty much the Gundam version of Escaflowne.
I never watched the whole series because when I started to watch it, Bandai announced they acquired the license of the show. As such, I deleted my fansubs in order to wait for the domestic release. How foolish I was. |
I'm only 8 episodes into Code Geass (hotel internet being worse than the last one I stayed at, so that's a big deterrent) and... Loving it so far.

The one thing that gash bell has over Zatch bell is one song and that is...

Turn A Gundam 2
This shit's fucking weird! The nudity just became even more awkward in this episode with near full frontal (pardon the pun) female nudity.Along with Loran and Sochie both being naked in this weird tribalistic coming of age ceremony with leeches and him piloting the White Doll naked with her on his lap. The fuck Tomino? The only character I like is the younger sister but even then she's not that compelling yet. I'm not really into the WWI eske atmosphere but maybe that's just me. I really don't feel to compelled by these first two episodes. I'm not saying they're bad, but their just super weird and I can't get into it. I know people say its an amazing series but I don't know yet. The Mobile suit fight wasn't even that compelling. It was just the White Doll shooting at these pair of legs running around. I do like the design of the Turn A though. Its very alien and sleek yet is still recognizable as a Gundam. I love that Mustache. It also manages to do what all beginning/Rx-78-2 look alikes fail to do, look compelling. |

and yeah...Turn A has the weirdest mobile suit designs. :lol |

Turn A Gundam episode 3
Now this is something I'm more familar with. Tragic attack of hometown from the enemy forces with death of a loved one driving the hero to pilot the Gundam? Check. For people who only use fighter planes, these engineers sure know how to use "ancient" technology. And thank god the nudity remained at a minimum this time. Loran only hit his nuts this episode. Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai!: AKA "I really don't know how to spell this and probably won't try!"
Chu-2 is an oddly marketed show, from the images and op/ed you'd say this is either a dark supernatural show or a harem one, add to that the other show with an eyepatch girl (Another) and it was one show I never gave much thought to. So the content of the show really surprised me, it's essentially a slice of life, an Akibaranger flavored slice of life, Chuunibyo focuses on a condition called "Eighth Grader Syndrome" which refers mostly to teenagers that fantasize and live in their delusions (so to say), the main character is Yuuta Togashi a boy who already left his Syndrome behind and is extremely ashamed of it, however things get more complex hilarious when he meets Rika Takanashi a girl that is right in the middle of her Syndrome and is very attached to him. Chuunibyo is a very fun show, and one with an interesting emotional range, sometimes you cringe at the sillyness of the delusions, others you will laugh and in some cases you will even approve of them, in that sense the dramatic side is handled well for the most part, the problems don't come out of left field, and the show for the biggest part doesn't want to impose an opinion in you, all points regarding Eight Grader Syndrome have some degree of truth, and we all have different ways of coping with life, the characters show this very well. On the other hand I do have one main gripe with the show, but I'm starting to think it's more of a KyoAni cliche at this point... it tries too hard to make you feel bad near the end, the studio seems to love that, and while the topic is coherent with the show the execution not so much, episode 11 dragged too much and was too melodramatic for my tastes. Thankfully 12 definitely makes up for it and provides a good conclusion. So all in all? I enjoyed it, a lot, and it has memorable characters, all I can hope is the sequel is as enjoyable, because... keep this a secret... but I'm not very fond of sequels.... |

The sequel worried the hell out of me when I first heard about the premise, but I think they handled it well, especially with how Yuuta was handled. The only thing that annoys me about it is that they never explain how the hell the deal with the police got sorted out. I mean I can buy that Touka or someone would have sorted it out, but it's annoying. That being said you should expect the first episodes of Ren(Hearth-throb) to be more of the same for the first two or three episodes. But I guess that isn't always a bad thing. |

But that's relieving. Honestly a few words should be enough to fix it, but yeah, not mentioning it sounds odd. Okie dokie then. |

So you've already read a bit about it? Well I'll go ahead and spoil that there isn't a love triangle, which isn't much of a spoiler. In all honestly the lack of one made me incredibly happy and is why I was able to watch the series. |

Turn A Gundam Episode 4
That fight between a rifleless Turn A and those walking legs were cool. Wow, So Loran is playing for both sides. Interesting. I guess first negotiations didn't go well LOL. Seriously, in real life, does every major peace meeting have someone getting shot because that's what seems to happen in a lot of Gundam series. And the town found some other mobile suits. Actually, this episode was pretty story packed. Episode 5 The militia isn't the best side either Its pretty cool how the Turn A doesn't use weapons yet still has great action scenes. And the Princess is here! Episode 6 Gentlemen, let's try the discussion again and act like non-murderous respectful adults. Not much happened except stopping minor conflicts between the growing militia. Why does Harry remind me of Quattro? Alright, time for my thoughts on the new mobile suits. I love the gold SUMO, again, taking a basic UC MS concept(badass gold mobile suit that's very similar to the Gundams) and Turning it on into its own style. The Kapools, I really don't care for. they're just those dumb ground MSes from the One-Year war just done in the Turn-A style. |
I've been watching a bit of Blade and Soul on crunchy roll only in a couple episodes right now but damn this series is looking nice and the fights are well done and pretty brutal it seems. Also starting to watch Bleach again via crunchy roll as well, was excited to see they had subs for that, part of me always preferred the Japanese version of it compared the dub.

Turn A Gundam Episode 7
Party time! Oh wait, more dumb fancy imagery that makes me have Gundam Wing flashbacks. Jesus! The fucking militia needs to be controlled! First that crazy guy and now a cake base holding assassins, I'm surprised Lord Guin hasn't been caught in the crossfire. I like how you could tell Moonrace people apart from Earth people. You look at the two girls and you can clearly tell the differently evolved facial and skin features on Dianna. Episode 8 Just more stuff with Loran helping out the moonrace people get food. Again, some great nonviolent usage of the Turn A. The episode was worth it though for the moment at the end where Loran reveals he's moonrace. Oh and the first major slap of the series. Sochie didn't have to slap the shit out of him. Episode 9 Oooh. Tensions are finally rising with this new criminal guy. Sochie piloting the Turn A is also cool. And I like how the guy being blurry allowed him to not see the pilots switching. Is it just me, or was the uniform that new guy was wearing reminded me of Time Ranger/time force red? episode 10 Oh boy! Watch the lookalike switch bring on some wacky shenanigans! Actually, this was a very heartfelt episode. With Dianna as Khiel and vicea versa, and accepting the full force of people telling them of what they have to deal with, it was really good to see the changes that happened. I still think Sochie needs to get over her Dad. |
Nobunaga The Fool 21:
Holy crap, I did not expect that ending four characters dead within the last minute or so of the show and it looks like Mitsuhide's finally gonna do something next episode too! |
Turn A Gundam 11
Finally! Some action! It only took 11 episodes for war to break out. But its still late. Episode 12 That fight at the end of the episode was pretty good. And I like how its Dinna pretending to be Kihel pretending to be the queen in order to stop the guy. |

I think someone complained about the twist of King Arthur being female but after this episode, it turned out that Ceaser was under some sort of mind control and that got me to thinking that's not what Arthur really looks like at all.
But rather Arthur has some sort of ability to have himself appear in whatever form that person holds the most precious. If that's the case, it would explain why he and Alexander saw two different things. |
