Yeah it's kind of tough act to follow as far as premiere's go. But all things considered, Princess Twilight is a solid start to the season and I look forward to more from season four! :D

It was nice, kinda predictable but still a solid 2-parter and a nice season premiere.
The flashbacks were great.

Quick thoughts since I have to dash.

-Wow, that was good. Very satisfying, I loved every bit of it. I thought this was better than the Season 3 one, actually, but I love them all.
-Princess Twilight, gotta get used to that. :D Love it! But you guys already know I'm kind of obsessed over Twilight anyway.
-Applejack has a more noticeable presence this time.
-Discord is great. He's definitely becoming more Q and less evil all-powerful Joker.
-New story arc! What with the whole Tree of Harmony and that magic box. Can't wait!
-Sooooo much world-building! That was definitely the highlight of the episode.

A solid two-parter and off to a promising start! Can't wait for the rest!

Good episode, sets up future events and locations, and it was genuinely funny, though it felt like a Halloween ep not a November one.

It was better suited for Halloween, but I guess you can blame the decision to air the new season in Nov for that.

Just saw Castle Mane-ia and I must say, Dave welcome to the staff. All in all it was a fun episode with some great moments with all the mane six, specially Rarity and Pinkie Pie.

Also, am I the only one the called Pinkie being the one playing the organ?

Fantastic episode. I loved how they all had individual adventures before coming together, it gave them all some great character moments.

That's far off, this collection doesn't include Season 3 stuff. You might get it eventually. :D Why not just rip the song in the meantime and buy it if and when it comes out?

It must have been hard to get the licenses to release these songs. Daniel Ingram said sometime during Season 2 that the songs weren't originally meant to be standalones but grew extremely popular. However, they were in a bit of a legal bind because they never anticipated the demand for soundtrack releases and didn't have the paperwork to sell them separately from the show. I'm glad they worked out the legal mumbo-jumbo, so if anything I'll buy this to support it.
