Why does Europe continue to get the best special editions?

As if Ubisoft fucking us over with every Assassin's Creed release weren't enough, Nintendo is continuing the trend with yet more Pokemon exclusives (much like XY and even MK8 before them...).

ORAS will be in metal cases for the European release. And preorder bonuses will include a pretty sweet figurine of Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre.

*sigh*

It stops us complaining about getting it a week later :)

Let's save the complaining for later and wait and see if we get news for the American fans.

All we have so far is a double sided poster. On one side is Primal Groudon and Primary Kyogre and on the other side is Mega Diancie.

There's still ample precedence to indicate it will remain overseas. So my disappointment expressed seems fairly justifiable.

EUROPE!

Considering the sheer mass of stuff Europe and Australia miss out on compared to America, I'm not exactly sympathetic about something as insignificant as a Special Edition not coming out in the US. If we whined every time something wasn't available to us we'd simply never shut up.

Note that the MK8 "Special Edition" you mention that only included a crappy tiny Blue Shell figurine retailed at $30 more then the regular edition (or up to $50 depending on the store), or $60 more then the regular edition costed in the US. You're not exactly missing out on anything worthwhile.

I found a MAJOR downside to using a serial code for the Pinsirite & Heracrossite mystery gift event, it can only be used on one game, meaning you need 2 serial code cards from Gamestop to get the different Mega Stones.

It really irks me whenever I see American complaining about the stuff we get in Europe. We occasionally get some nice stuff, but you have no idea how much stuff we've missed out on in the past and still continue to not get. Not to mention the massive delays we usually have to suffer through. It wasn't that long ago that we were waiting 3-6 months for Pokemon games after the US releases.

The steel cases are cool and all, but do you still think they're that great when you realise they're the equivalent of $85 US? Having to pay an extra £20 for fancy cases isn't exactly something people here are jumping in joy for. Oh, and we're still getting the game a week later. Have fun spoiling all the secrets for us online while we're still over here waiting.
