Turn A Gundam episode 13
...And check the hotspring scene off of the mandatory anime tropes. I like the world building with Diana and how the Moonrace visited Earth before and they have cryo stasis. But why are they only coming back now? Its always interesting to see the Turn A fight because its fight are so strategic and different. Sure, I love series like 00 and its straight foward action with a battle plan, but Loran is tackling each enemy in such a unique way. |

And hooray for Mitsuhide maybe finally doing something next week! |
I just finished episode 10 and the monkey is a BaMF

Turn A Gundam episode 14
FUCKING ZAKUS. AND A GM. THIS EPISODE WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! But yeah, more boring Will Game stuff and more militia failure to properly use mobile suits. Episode 15 That's the end of the Will Game arc. It was okay. It was more meant for Dianna's development though. The one thing I do have to say about this show is that so far, the only way the militia could get MSes is from the ground, so there's definitely a sense of fear of if they are going to run out. Zeta Gundam 47 Gryps 2 is now under the AEUG's control. Now to wipe out that pesky Zeon. Attack on Titan episode 2 That Runner Titan was super scary. Although, did he break through the wall because the entrance wasn't fortified the entire way? Eren is one messed up kid. He is screaming and disrespecting authority and wanting revenge all at the age of what, 12? And its believable. Its not like Gundam where the word revenge is thrown around so much it loses its meaning, I can see and hear the real passion in Eren's voice when he talks about it. Its interesting to learn that there's 3 walls and tons of cities and region within them. I thought the show was just about the last city of humanity but apparently not. Episode 3 Boot camp! Meeting more of the characters. I wonder if bread girl is going to survive the first fight. And does that guy think Eren has the hots for Misa when she's actually Eren's friend? Eren can manipulate the technology! By this point, I should mention the pace of this show. Attack on Titan chapters are twice as long as normal Shonen Jump chapters and before the commercial break and at the end of the episode feel like the end of a manga chapter. So if there's two or three chapters being an episode adapted an episode, I'm fine with that. Episode 4 Looks like a ton of people are joining the cadets. Although, I don't get why the best get to protect the king. I get its a last line of defense, but don't you think that being on the frontlines would serve them better? Shit! The colossal titan appeared out of nowhere! Like in a puff of smoke. Literally. Episode 5 Damn, its not as easy killing a titan then I thought. And also, they killed the fucking main character! The fuck kind of cliffhanger do you leave that on? And yes, Eren will be back bhut still, he has his arm and leg bit off. Unless this is all a nightmare in one of his friends' heads. |
Sorry for the Double post
Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer I love this movie. I don’t care what you say about me, I loved this movie. The last 3rd of the movie was beautiful and I’m glad this timeline ended this way. Alright, time to address the biggest complaint this movie has. Character development. Only Setsuna really develops as a character. But I do like how his Innovation and development allows him to sense more emotional things rather then only being a better pilot, where season 2 ended off. And, not to get too deep into symbolism mode, I think Setsuna represents the growth of humanity. When he’s very young, he engages in religious war over ideals and fights for his country (Much like how early history was spent fighting fighting other peoples of other ideals and empires/countries.) As Setsuna gets older, he fights to unite the will of humanity and ( I think the end of season 2 even says the childhood of humanity ends and Setsuna’s about 20 or 21 by the end of season 2, when Japan really considers you a proper adult.) And so many years into the future, he fuses with the ELS(Like how once we encounter aliens in peace, we fuse our wills so both of our species survive longer). Honestly though, I don’t think this movie needed any other character development. Let me explain. What development occurs to the characters in 00 happens because of some person in their past that they’re trying to move past or someone they need to understand..I don’t think you could really do anymore with these characters, they get past these hangups with the people that scared them by the end of season 2, so they don’t need to carry it over to the movie. Plus, you can’t really develop the characters because of the ElS because, well the ELS weren't personal. They fused with people with quantum brainwaves, but they weren't after selfish personal desires or driven by revenge, or frankly, anything that drove any of 00 the series’ villains. And if they did do something personal to one of the Meisters, then people would complain about the fact that it would be an unnecessary repeat of development from earlier in the series. Along with that, everybody in Celestial Being shared the same goal of trying to peacefully communicate with the ELS because that was something they all had in common anyways, so you really couldn't develop that either. My complaints are very minor. The only new character is Descartes Shaman and he really doesn’t do anything. I guess he’s supposed to show humanity is evolving but I was hoping for more of a character. Maybe he could have joined Celestial Being once his ship got destroyed and piloted a rebuilt Raphael Gundam when Tieria and Setsuna were going to the dialogue? Oh and more Raphael Gundam please. That last battle not having it just left me unsatisfied. And the parts where the ELS were attacking people with quantum brainwaves after that ship crash were giving me Kamen Rider the Next flashbacks. And I mean the bad J-horror parts. There’s a minor Deus Ex Machina at the end of the movie, the 00 Quanta teleporting to the ELS solar system and that might be a logic breaker for some people but it might have happened after the ELS stopped anyways so I don’t mind as much. The action was ridiculously crazy. Beautiful detail, lasers everywhere, fast moving suits, the ELS felt alive in battle just amazing. i think the only thing missing was the ELS suits going Trans-Am. I don’t particularly care for the new Gundam designs, but that’s just me. And most of the battles aren’t traditional mobile suit vs mobile suit either, the movie opens its first real fight with destroying a ship, and its super awesome. Overall, I give this movie a 9/10 |
Episode 118 of Vanguard, what was the point of this episode?
I mean it's neat to see most of the older characters make an appearance but it just felt unnecessary. |

I can't really watch the new season because of how much it feels like a rehash of season 2 and yaoi bait. Seriously, why can't anyone on this show say pals or friends? Calling Aichi his "mate" just feels like an attempt to make the concept sound cooler than it is. Then, there's also the fact that they treat aichi like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. |
Quote:
Aichi at this point is considered the best because of all he's been through, at this point he is the best, which is why i feel like they should move on... Like have the younger characters show up older like in ending 7 to help out the new characters. |

At least the main characters can actually loose in this series, and the monster designs are probably the best thing in this show. |

Marvel disk wars episode 7, finally the team is starting to come together, Captain America in this is a complete badass. |
Turn A Gundam episode 16
Clipshow! Why you do this Tomino?!?! Episode 17 Wow, I can't believe the militia got moonrace technicians to work for them. Now we can create new mobile suits! But the other militia's a bunch of fucking dicks. Again with the mythology gag of the space people not knowing what thunder and lightning is. Episode 18 That speech at the end was really inspiring and has shown growth for both Dianna and Kihel. I just wish that the militia and the Queen's guard actually had a good reason to fight other then the itchy trigger finger and racial tensions. |
Apparently, Anime Works licensed SRW OG: DIvine Wars I saw the set at Wal Mart.
It was cheap, a part of me reaaaaaaaaally wanted to pick it up, especially if it leads to The Inspectors getting a localization. But again: it was cheap, the DVD looked like something a fan had made and didn't really feel professional at all. Then I looked up some reviews on Amazon and I'm glad I skipped it: apparently the last two episodes are defective. |
ok the latest anime i watched fully was kill la kill and i am happy i watched in one marathon run. the action the humor the story, every thing felt right in to place and i loved every last bit of it differently the twist that presedent and matoi where siblings

Now I really want to know the truth behind Arthur. |
I think I'm gonna watch Broken Blade as my first non - Gundam mecha anime.
|
I'm not sure why I'm not speeding through this one like the last couple of anime I've watched, but I really am enjoying Code Geass. Only up to episode 16 of the first season though. I think my favorite part of it all is that our protagonist is far from the ideal hero, which is a nice change.
|
After finishing Gash Bell, I then went on to Samurai Bride but then finished that and now I'm on to Birdy the Mighty. Might watch Gundam Unicorn or 00 next.

It's unlike Gundam but it does a lot of stuff differently. The characters are different too, I think my favrioute concept they're rolling with is a King and Queen that are actually active in the war and do more than just be background characters. There's a lot of world building too. |
Just finished the first episode of Attack on Titan... JESUS!

While we're talking Attack on Titan I might as well spoil a future haul pic: I got the Attack on Titan Limited Edition set recently.
I watched the first episode with the English dubbing, and at first I was kind of meh on it. Eren sounded far too whiney and the only character that I thought really fit was Mikasa and Armin. But when Sh** started to hit the fan and I heard more ranges of emotion from the cast, I started to dig it a little more. The show looks absolutely gorgeous on Bluray, I can say that much. |
Finished watching Birdy the Mighty Decode and Decode 2. Now I've started watching Gundam Unicorn and holy crap it's good. Not a single dull moment in the first 2 episodes.

HeartCatch! Precure episode 40:
So...the Generals of the Desert Apostles are kind of like Nobodies from Kingdom Hearts? Well dang...that sucks. Here's hoping they can return Cobraja and Kumojacky back to normal. Overall the episode was pretty good. |

As I've said before, I think Attack On Titan was poor. Build Fighters is the first anime to live up too the hype for me probably since TTGL.

It's gone way up in price since the preorder first went up. I think I'm paying like £80 for the Ultimate Edition. There's a more basic version coming out too, if you aren't bothered about the movies or the external extras. Although that seems to have jumped in price too... |
oh i love kill la kill i think to me personally it deservies the hype it been getting. so ill be checking out TTGL next then as DL i hope the ultimate edition Blu ray is at MCM comic con birmingham

I hadn't been following the bare bones version so I've no idea why that's so high priced. Maybe because they're still a relatively new distributor? After all, they're charging like £50 for the first 13 eps of Space Dandy on BD. Can't deny it sucks though. Quote:

I guess if this is just how it is I haven't got a choice then do I? If I want to own it at least. Dunno whether to bite the bullet now and hope it doesn't hike up another thirty quid, or to just wait for its release in two months time and see if the aftermarket is kind to me or hell on Earth. Dunno really much about how scalping can/does relate to UK Blurays of limited edition anime sets.
