Okay, haven't finished the episode yet but two things:

1. Being a writer myself, I find Rainbow's disregard for the author of Daring Do's personal life both funny as hell and unsettling at the same time.

2. Come on DHX, you really couldn't put any more effort into the design of that ring?... Really?

I don't think I've enjoyed a Rainbow Dash episode quite as much as that one. Really fun adventure and as usual Pinkie gets some of the best laughs in the episode.

All the fan-moments by Dash are a little too close to home. :lol

I still haven't seen last week's episode. :(

Honestly, the only real issue I'm having with S4 is Pinkie, actually. I think they're overdoing her zaniness...

Really? That sucks to hear. Kind of reminds me how they overdid Rainbow's cockiness in Season 2 (or Fluttershy's shyness in Season 3).

Or Rarity's selfishness in EVERYTHING!

Yeah. It's kind of jarring to watch an episode where Pinkie is wacky but still grounded (Like Putting Your Hoof Down) and then go onto her appearances in S4. It's like they dialed her up to 11, then the dial accidentally broke and they can't fix her.

Eh, she didn't really have that problem in Season 3.

True, and she hasn't thus far in season 4 so she's okay in my book. :D

Also, one final thing about the last episode. I think I can safely say that the phrase "Dear Princess Celestia" will be missed by all going forward into season 4. :(

Really does suck when a show bids farewell to stable it's had since the beginning. I know it's a very minor gripe but the idea of not hearing "Dear Princess Celestia" at the end of each episode just doesn't sit well with me. :lol

I actually thought this episode solidified Rainbow Dash as my least favorite of the Mane Six. :lol

All I'm saying is that Fluttershy was acting a lot worse in that episode than Rainbow was in Daring Don't.

She wasn't in it. I was simply saying that in terms of what an episode can do to a character you can do a whole lot worse than Rainbow's actions in Daring Don't... Putting Your Hoof Down was just the first example that came to mind. :lol

I enjoyed Rainbow in this episode. She was a really funny...

I did do. :D The character I strangely didn't like very much was Daring... not to sure why though.

Also, Twilight and Rainbow's panter involving the events of several Daring Do books was funny as hell. Reminds me of the discussions I have with my nerd friends about anime and bullshit plot points. :lol
