I'd say just buy it off of Mandarake.

I think that was the regular price that AmiAmi's always had it for. if it were me (it's not, because I already have them all), I'd go with Mandarake.

A bit of an informal poll here, is there anyone else other than me who likes/doesn't hate the TaToBa Figuarts? I'm always seeing people bringing it up as the worst or one of the worst examples of a Figuarts. Yes it has problems and it was the first Rider Figuarts to move away from diecast feet but it's not a bad toy.

As my first figuart, I love it. And mine doesn't have the problems people say it had.

I like it but mines floppy as all hell and has pretty poor paint apps on the hands :(

Mine oddly isn't floppy, but tight. Especially in the hips. The hands are alright on mine.

The legs on mine are a bit loose but he can hold poses fine, I'm able to display him doing the henshin pose.


Also, has anyone heard back from Bluefin about the Wizard Strike Robe? I do realize they had a con over the weekend but I e-mailed both then & Amazon Saturday and no response from either yet. Maybe I'm just spoiled by how fast they got back to me about Rider 1

I would really like to see the OOOs figuarts redone.

It's not a great example of the line, but I don't hate it. I think it's specifically the Batta legs that hurt it the most. GataKiriBa has similar leg problems. All the other OOO forms are great though. Personally, I'd say TaJaDor and PuToTyra are best. With LaToraTah behind them.

I did get a response saying they'd send it out after the con, but I haven't gotten any kind of shipping notice yet.

Most of them are fine as is. I'd say the only ones that truly need to be reworked are TaToBa, GataKiriBa, and SaGoZo. I really don't see why they didn't/couldn't make the claws fold out instead of having to swap parts.

TaToBa is probably one of the weakest figures I've messed with.

Other than when they told me that they would be shipping me the robe after they returned from the con, I've heard nothing.

I do to. Mostly because I want him to come with some effect pieces and hands that actually match his poses in the show. Yes, he used his fists, but he did not always pose himself with his fists closed. Plus, I need some actually hands that can hold the Satan Saber to recreate the climatic battle.

I like my TaToBa a lot too. I got a second run one(without the Ankh hand) and it had no QC problems. Maybe everyone who hates it got the first run? Just throwing that out there.

The only problem I have with TaToBa is the lack of accessories and that he cannot really stand without something behind him to keep him up.

All this talk of the OOO Figuarts being poor is making me nervous for my reissue Tatoba at the end of the month.

Ah well, he's been pretty high up my to-get list for a while.

Been fiddling around with Wizard a bit more. Funny enough outside of the day I got him in I really hadn't handled him all that much. I got him into a pose I really liked on his stand and just left him there.

Now that I've got him in hand some more and have posed him a bit, I really really do like him. His hip joint seems to have settled itself a touch, it's not as bad as it was, and *knock on wood* hasn't popped off on me again in a while. His belt is even behaving itself.

I've never really agreed with the complaints on his proportions. No they aren't perfect, but other than his feet being a bit big I honestly don't think he looks all that off, at least not to his detriment.

And just aesthetically the figure is beyond beautiful. That flat, matte black on his coat in contrast to the absolutely gorgeous red, and the use of transparent plastic with the shiny red underneath is just...my God the figure really is like a gem.

Also, anyone with Ryuki, just how bad are the loose ports that I have seen/heard about? Is it a common issue? Is it bad enough to be a real mark against the figure? Also kinda worried about Dragredder getting loose over time, or his whiskers breaking (ditto the ones on the strike vent).

The ports on the Ryuki figures suck on most until you get to Raia's release and forward. The can pop off by a bad joke...as for Dragredder, the are ball joints, so if the ever got loose clear nail polish is your friend, No the whiskers....ummm. don't let him near a cat?

Due to a reshuffle on my Detolf case, I was trying to be careful, but since my detolf isn't completely stable and tends to shake whenever I open the door or shuffle the figures around, some of my Figuarts figures fell off the shelf, with Shadowmoon bearing the worst of it and one of his antenae snapped off! :(

It took about 12 minutes to find the piece and placed it in a small plastic bag until I can find the right adhesive to glue the antenae back with some tweezers & a needle. ;-;

Oh god, that is my worst nightmare and why I am trying to get stands for all of the figures.

Speaking of stands, you know, if they put more than 3 sets of claw pieces in the box I could get a several figures on just a few of the stands. I bet I could fit an entire 6 ranger team on 4 stands if I had enough claws to do so.

Don't get nervous. He is a good figure, it's just that he has some design flaws.

I have a habit of doing the same thing. I get a figure into a pose I really like, I don't want to move him from it for a long while. I've had Knight posed doing his final vent attack since Nov and I don't know if I ever want to take him out of it.

Loose ports? Are you referring to the round thingies? If so, when I first got him, the one on the right arm seemed to always fall off. However, I haven't had it fall off in months, and usually when it does, it is because I swiped my finger against it by accident.

I've been collecting figuarts from the very first "The Next" series..and I'll admit..the OOO series was a huge step down. I don't think they're horrible action figures..I think we were just spoiled with the earlier releases. No diecast feet (although I will admit...the plastic feet on Another Agito (a first I think?) didn't really bring down the figure that much)...warped plastic..uneven paint apps. Seems like they were either rushing or making a huge amount in very little time. I hope diecast feet make a permanent comeback. Now a days, getting diecast feet on a figuarts is like a treat. It used to be the norm.

THIS^^ I was completely blown away with Wizard's "Flat Black" finish...Gives the figure a "collector" feel to it. Almost like painted plastic as opposed to just plain plastic. I like this figuarts a lot.

Mmm jetman and dairanger figuarts... There's something so much more appealing about buying sentai teams that never got power ranger iterations

It's hard to tell, but it looks like HurricaneRed is using the inner bicep swivel. Why won't Bandai just use the regular one like they did for Gokaiger and Boukenger? You could say they're trying to preserve the sculpt but it's a bit of a cheap excuse considering the Boukengers have the regular one and it breaks up the dual color sleeve.
