It's rather annoying that a lot of Pokemon have such fun designs, but are so slow that I pretty much have to put them on a team with Noivern (For Tailwind) just to even get any use out of them...

I try to keep some semblance of synergy when using new Pokemon and building teams, but often that gets axed because one portion of the equation was wrong...

He is Water/Psychic,but it doesn't necessarily mean I need to have a Psychic move on it.Psychic are only good against 2 types,both of which I plan on having a pokemon to use against them.(Ground and Flying,or at least pokemon with those move types)Starmie I gave those moves because it's speed and Sp. Atk. are pretty good.It's mostly going to be my first strike pokemon,my dragon killer if you will.

True, but my point is that a Pokémon gets a STAB whenever they use a move that's the same type that they are, which gives said move +50% attack power.

Gotcha.That's why I try to keep most of their moves the same type.But,I'm also thinking defense for most of them as well.I'm trying to keep in mind what they will be going against and the best way to fight it.Also,I have found pretty much the perfect substitute for a Psychic pokemon.

Pokepla looks cool, but I dunno. The thing with Pokemon is that they don't have some crazy gimmick like combining or transforming, so having the Pokepla rather brick like makes them seem kinda bland.
That said, I would totally buy a set of Garchomp's evolutionary line.

Those models look pretty neat. I'd like to get a Xerneas for myself.
