Any idea how it happened?

I got a message from someone that they reported my account by mistake for theift and they give me a ticket to prove it. They give me a legit Steam mod discord number and I was talking to them about it. I thought my account was in danger and I give the person my login info because it seem like a real legit person. They are even on the Steam's admin team website.

Now I feel like an idiot for falling for a very clever trick.

that is the most typical scam possible on steam and discord and oh my god I can't believe someone on this earth actually fell for it.

in case you still don't know this, there is no universe where a legitimate representative of any company whatsoever will ever ask for your password - because they already know it.

I've honestly never encountered a single, legitimate company that didn't stress the fact that a representative will never ask for your password.

Everyone slips up, somewhere and somehow. Heck, about ten years ago I gave my WoW info to a scammer and was only alerted to it by a buddy of mine spotting me online and hanging around the Stormwind bank, which was unusual because I had no way to access the game and hadn't played for almost a year at that point.

Once again, it was a very convincing setup- I don't remember much other than a well-replicated Battle.net page.

Considering that I rarely use my Steam account, I was totally unaware that the whole thing was a scam. I just had Bank of America block my account and send me a new card in the mail.

Having seen Pocket Monsters Jhoto Journeys (US Dub) on Boomerang I'm watching all 4 series of Ruby / Sapphire on DVD this fall. I may need to watch the last 2 disks of Master Quest. Also watching Indigo as they started with Orange Islands.

Riiip, I've found most the seiken for reasonable prices, shipping will be the big thing. Just need dragonic knight, and king lion dai senki for retail dx show books, (and king arthur). Gonna need to figure out how I want to get the specter set, Doom Driver, Super Hero Senki book, and all the v-cinema stuff.

If you need to piece out that Specter set, I would kick in for the Kanon Eyecon.

I'm planning on making some test comics to practice my skills and the format before eventually starting my main Comic/Manga project.

I also remember him being in the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic games and Batman the Animated Series. He will indeed be missed. And this is right after Masanori Nihei's passing, of which I'm still reeling from.

I’m currently on a waiting list for gender therapy in the next 6-8 weeks. They also do voice training as well.

So many hilarious and wholesome conversations and everyone just generally being very nice and civil towards each other (95% of the time anyway) in spite of our differences. Really, I just want to thank you all for the memories, from the current members, the returning members, the banned members (yes seriously), those who haven't written in a long time, and the new members.

So glad I'm part of this community and I look forward to more conversations with y'all, this thread or otherwise.

As I pack for my trip I look over at my shelves full of things and have decided that it's once again time to thin the herd.

Makes me wish the old version was still around. For a brief moment we all pretended to be back in 2007 because we'd hit that number in page count, it was hilarious- although I felt even older than usual.

Is the old version not still around? I was under the impression that it was only locked by the admins, but if it really was deleted that blows absolute chunks.

It's not gone, just... banished to the blaghole where no mortal may tread.

Even as someone who only just joined at the start of the year, there's been a lot of things that happened, some of these I even remember seeing while on my time here. This place really is a rather wholesome and friendly place, which so far, we've all had some good experiences in these difficult times.

Hi friends! It's the start of my weekend. I think my job has given me a consistent schedule now (Friday through Monday), but I'll have to see when the next schedule is posted.

I'm doing pretty well overall I'd say. Work has been pretty good to me. Been having a bit of trouble relaxing though. Not sure what to do with my free time as of late. I got some new toku toys so those are getting mounted to my walls soon.

I had people told me that my old account was messaging them on Discord. Thankfully, enough people ignore it and decided to block it.

Printing my first big science presentation poster today. It's a very, very minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but it feels like a big achievement. Like I actually have something worth showing people.

Replaced my Blu Ray player today so I'm catching up Pokemon and all episodes up to Kira Mage this fall.

too bad it will take 2 more years for Viz to finish releasing Pokemon. they just started dropping Black And White year 1 on us in July. 5 more sets to go to catch up to Sun And Moon unless they split up Adventures In Unova in 2.

Good luck! Orb cards are notoriously hard to get though. I do suggest going for the 2 complete sets if you can afford em.

What's kind of dumb is live action movies are getting CG Anime shows on Netflix rather than a live action series.

I live in Maryland and I never bother to be around bees. Thankfully, I'm okay.

First time I ever got stung by a bee was when I reached into a mailbox and there was a bee in there for whatever reason. I was in college, so I had gone that long before an encounter.

It wasn't pleasant that's for sure!
