I'd wait to watch the W portion of Movie War Core until after watching W. Things would just make a lot more sense.
You could watch all of OOO three times over and the OOO portion still wouldn't make sense. |
Oh, if you haven't seen W then yeah, deffinitely wait until you have.
|
Episode Four of Kabuto was pretty underwhelming also.
Such a crucial Worm to the series, killed off so early and so quickly. The fight wasn't even that good. |
Man Wizard is weird. Holding a girl's hand to his crotch while the driver yells "Please, Please!"
Easily the worst driver/powers of any rider. |

Too bad she's got all the personality of a bag of leaves.

Though, I don't think anyone would be Mr. Personality if they were just moe or less a reanimated corpse. |
Then here's a tip: don't make one of your main characters a reanimated corpes if it means they're going to be the single most annoying bland thing in the universe.
|
She does soften up later on but as soon as she stops being annoying she then just becomes non-existent, fading into the background like a piece of scenery until the plot needs her like 20 episodes later.
|
Oh boy, we got an OOOs cast on our hands, then?

But the seemingly important Koyumi gives her best wallpaper impression and Shunpei (Outside of the Grandmother arc) doesn't do much of anything. I don't think Wajima was ever important... |
Quote:
At least Wajima had a defined purpose from the beginning, even if we have no idea how he talks to the stones or makes the rings this close to the end, but whereas new rings were once a regular occurrence earlier on I actually can't remember the last time Haruto got a ring. The Infinity Ring was from within or whatever. |

I'm feeling like I made the wrong decision with Kabuto. I know I'm only five episodes in so I'll give it more time but;
Call Haruto bland if you want but I like him, Tendou reminded me of him a lot but he doesn't seem to have any of Haruto's humour or well...charm. Hiyori is basically Bella Swan but somehow comes across like an even greater bitch. And although I admire characters like the Zect...dude...the fact I don't even remember his name says everything. His character arc basically finished in episode four and yet I barely know a thing about this guy. Then episode five just awkwardly added further family drama for him, for kicks and just meh. And the hinted love triangle crap is even more off putting. Plus as cool as the Clock On/Off gimmick is, I'm five episodes in and we've basically not moved out of the Putty stage of enemies, with every fight over in a flash. I know I said myself I like classic heroes and escapism but I don't like classic heroes that are so archaic they breeze through every action sequence. I find it impossible to be engaged in an action scene if there isn't even any artificial tension or suggestion that the hero might loose. So far I think Tendou only ever took damage because he refused to fight back. |
Tendou loses one fight in the entire series. And even then, he loses because he's emotionally broken and the next episode he kicks his ass anyway.
I love Kagami. But writing off character development as "for kicks" means it's nebulous to continue (Seriously. One thread you're bitching that characters are pointless and do nothing. And when a series starts working on and building a character that's not the titular character, you write it off?) As Split can tell you, Kabuto is not a series for everyone. If you don't like it, there's always...Ryuki? *Shrugs* |
I used the expression 'for kicks' because the plotting in this series has thus far been awful.
Tendou wants Bella's v because...she makes a nice soup? Zect guy's arc finished in episode four shit...err...*insert random, completely disconnected 20 second scene where Zect's Dad appears says something ominous and Zect gets mad, now we won't reference this happened for the whole rest of the episode* I'll give it a few more episodes and if it doesn't do anything for me I'll move to Kuuga. |

Wizard 4: So, he can run out of mana? Oh boy, I can smell the contrived "oh no, I can't fix this easily solved problem because I just happen to be out of mana!" already.
EDIT: And starting 5... so cat monster (I find that offensive) just leaves him... because? Damn, and I though the mana was contrived. EDIT 2: So, are all the gates going to be gigantic asshats like this penis? EDIT 3: I meant "pianist." EDIT 4: Actually no I didn't. |
So I watched the second episode of Kuuga and really enjoyed it. My only real complaint is that Kuuga himself kinda sucks, when he found his conviction and moved on to this 'proper' form, I was excited as hell - that new suit looks cool as hell!
But then nothing seemed to improve, not his speed or his strength, no new weapons and his Rider kick was just a normal kick. And despite throwing in two enemies, I still found his fight in his Base Form against that Spider Vagina guy way more thrilling. Quote:

I think...Maybe 2 aren't. The rest are more concerned with making sure everyone hates them until the last second to redeem them through backstory. Quote:
But from what I heard, it's still rather good. |

You can't open that spectacularly, add in two monsters and then somehow make it more boring but they did it. |
Man this show. Literally every character except Hairytoes is just wasted space.
Stinko the world's lamest detective has done bugger-all. Shoe-pie is just grating constantly. Coilme is melodramatic to the max on top of being consentrated boring. The gate is a buttfront. Medusa is a lame villain with a stupid human form. (you know, because fanfiction teenagers are threatening and ominous, right?) Phoenix is an annoying asshat with an equally stupid human form. (though I hear he get's good) Son of Catface is just a dumb villain. And then there's the donut van man/lady/thing. No wonder Locke thinks Hairytoes is so aweosme. Everyone else makes me want to fall asleep so bad the simple fact that he does something once in a while seems like Godsend, even if he is a demon. (I want to buy WAP flame style just so I can post pictures of my SH Den-O and Zeronos freaking out while Wizard stares into the camera three inches from the lens) But I really, really want to get caught-up so I can watch a series as it airs for once. Man I can't wait for the next rider series. |
Quote:
By the way Phoenix doesn't get better, he just gets an epic death. |
I always liked Phoenix.

Phoenix is a stupid dummy.
God, it's like I'm watching a foreign All My Children with all these overdramatic characters WHO AREN'T SUPERHEROES WITH POWERS OR AWESOME. You know, call me nuts, but if there's one thing I hate it's series where the main character isn't the main character. Seriously, on top of a whole lot else, my favourite part of W was how the story was about W and his enemies. Not nonsense extra characters except Akiko who, shock of all shocks, was part of the main story and not dealing with her own stupid problems. Everyone of the main three had a purpose and did shit. Shotaro was the convicted hero, Philip was his briany partner/also hero, Akiko was, well, everything else. There were no useless characters. If a character served no use in the episode, (WatcherMan, Santa, Jin and Makura) they didn't show up. What do these non-Wizard characters even do? They have no skills outside Callmemaybe, who despite having a literal crystal ball, only sometimes let's Wizard know when a Phantom's causing shit. Buuuuuuull. |
ok so is every episode of fourze going to be cliched high school bs and five minutes total of him actually in kamen rider form? i mean i just finished episode 4 and the paceing is utter crap IMO.
also up to 4 of W, its pretty good so far might just go ahead and watch some of it then more of fourze... also about to watch episode 1 of wizard, my expectations are low for this after fourze :lol |
Seems like W is the one really doing it for you. Maybe you should just stick with it?
|
yea im just stickin with W might give Fourze a few more episodes, i kinda like the going from one series to the other :lol
so saw wizard episode 1, no. just no. there was nothin that interested me in this series at all. |
Finished episode 3 of Kuuga and it was another great episode. If the series continues like this then I'm going to really fall for this show.

Not sure what you did not like, but I am big into mythology and the occult, both of which is featured in this series. |

Lol okay, and thanks for the help everyone. |
Watched episode 13 of OOO, it's interesting to see where Ankh is going now and the same with Gotou. I like that is seems like Eiji is gaining a bit more control of the combos now. Loved his frizzed hair from the Kuwaga head lol
