Not really...Shipping from Japan never exceeded $20 for me.
If I was middlemanning it, then yeah, it'd probably triple in price, but ordering from HLJ or Amiami the shipping was never really killer if you could wait the extra week it'd take to reach you.

Hell, I think the only (Non-exclusive) Figuarts I've bought from retail that exceeded $55 were Ryuki and maybe Dark Kiva (Don't quite remember his price).

Since you sent the money on Friday, it would be Saturday over there in most cases. Japan is like 15 hours ahead of US Pacific Time. So even if you sent it early Friday at 12AM, afternoon-ish in Japan, it'll take at most a day to get it ready and have it shipped out. They probably have packages picked up/dropped off at a certain time in the afternoon. With that said, like most other online sites, they probably don't operate on the weekends, only on business days (M-F). So I would expect to hear something from them within the next 24hrs.

Lucky you, my last one from AmiAmi was over $100 in shipping alone.

Well, I generally order one or two Figuarts. So the weight is minimal and the size is tiny.

Most I ever paid for shipping was $68 from Mandarake for Machalcon. I'm sure they could've shipped it for less if they stopped using such huge boxes. The Machalcon box was snug tight, but with the height of the shipping box, you can fit two more Machalcon boxes. I've only placed two orders with them and both time the boxes were too big for the items in it. Its good in case it accidentally gets crushed and doesn't damage the items, but still, when you start to reach a certain amount, you'd want to save some money.

But Japanese mail system goes by weight, not box size, so it's really the extra padding that's jacking the shipping up.
