Gokaiger, Gekiranger, Abaranger, Shinkenger, and Zyuohger are good options.
|
Jetman or Zyohger depending on if you're wanting to start with something pre MMPR or post MMPR.
|
I definitely recommend Jetman, Dairanger, Megaranger, Timeranger, Gekiranger, Magiranger, and Gokaiger. Zyuranger isn't a bad series to serve as your gateway into the franchise overall either since that is the case with me.

As for Gokaiger, watch after seeing at least 3 sentai shows because it is fan service heavy so it is better after being accustomed to the franchise. |

Gokaiger was meant for kids who had at best seen the last few episodes of Goseiger, as with every Sentai. It's perfectly good standalone and was my first Toku
|
Yeah, Gokaiger was my first Sentai too, and it can absolutely be enjoyed without a deep understanding of the franchise's history.
Really, as the flood of completely different recommendations here suggest, I don't think there are many bad choices for an introduction though? |
So, if Ultraman is able to get Kane Kosugi, does that mean there's the possibility that Sentai could afford him, too?
|
After rewatching some Carranger, I started wandering about an extra. In the debut episode of VRV Robo, we see VRV Master go about his daily routine on Earth which includes visiting a regular barber. However, he notices that the barber's demeanor and actions aren't right and the barber chats a moment before revealing himself to be RitchiRitchihiker! Is the barber actor the actual VA for RitchiRitchihiker, in a live cameo? Granted, they could've just dubbed the voice of RitchiRitchihiker over the barber actor, but I don't really think that was the case here.

You know guys those people what they think about saying rumors Sentai was taking about is always says cancellations or hiatus rumors because they think due to underperforming or sales for now Super Sentai got enter the reiwa era with Mashin Sentai Kiramaiger the first reiwa season later Kikai sentai zenkaiger the second reiwa season it's too early to tell about those cancellations or hiatus rumors to the franchise it does not make sense to me or someone and now I having fun with zenkaiger and I like it.

Was it because the lower toy sales and television ratings got affected due to COVID-19 Pandemic? Toei's stocks and shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange went down.
|
Quote:
A) This started with Lupat -- a couple years before Covid was even a thing B) Kamen Rider Zero-One and Ultraman Z performed extraordinarily well, better in fact than most recent years - and they were on during Covid at the same time as Kiramager So it's really hard to say if Covid really has much of a part, here -- there's an argument to be made that it could in fact have increased toy sales, as parents buy stuff for their kids to do while stuck indoors. These toys will also be stocked at the same supermarkets people still need to go to for food, as well. |

I thought Zyuohger was a massive failure too?
Also, while Sentai ratings have been steadily declining for about 10 years now, they really dove off a cliff when TV Asahi shifted its time slot so that it competes directly against One Piece. |

Over the years, I've definitely seen Bandai sales charts akin to these that list Sentai as "Power Rangers" or "Super Sentai (Power Rangers)." I mean, it seems crazy to me that Power Rangers toys only accounted for 1/3 of Sentai-related toy sales, but who knows? EDIT: Here are some hastily compiled examples... but I think the overall takeaway is that it's not clear what these numbers actually represent, so using them to form the basis of success or failure of the franchise is a dubious proposition at best. https://i1.wp.com/tokusatsunetwork.c...ng?w=601&ssl=1 http://ukiyaseed.weebly.com/uploads/...47715_orig.png https://i.redd.it/dfjupri74ef41.jpg |
Oh wow, Zyuohger actually slightly outperformed Ninninger. Wasn't aware of that.
Those Kiramager numbers are downright anemic, man. It looks like it might have only cracked 5-5.5 billion yen if those patterns from years past hold out. Zenkaiger by all accounts should perform much better what with it being an anniversary, but it'll be lucky to reach Ninninger's numbers. |

Kiramager numbers are a true shame because the show itself was so good.

Before I get ungodly excited, are these the same guys who make those expensive figures that are basically 2010-era SHFs?

Sigh.
|
So Bandai put up their full fiscal year reports. Kiramager as assumed underperformed ending at 4.5 billion yen in domestic toy sales. Keep in mind that LuPat and Ryusoulger were 6 billion yen. THIS is an all-time low for Super Sentai probably, at least within the domestic toy sales numbers that are availably known.
|
I'm doing a lot of Kiramager rewatches, and I can't help but notice a weird little pattern. The previews for upcoming episodes have some weird blurs all around. The signs on the inside of the base are occasionally blurred. The preview for Ep. 19 at the end of Ep. 18 has the dry erase board in the classroom blurred. The preview for Ep. 23 at the end of Ep. 22 has the numbers on Safe Jamen blurred. Why all of these inconsequential and ultimately self-defeating blurs?
|
Any news on what viewership ratings percentage did Mashin Sentai Kiramager has due to COVID-19 Pandemic? Will it be the lowest in the history of Super Sentai Series and lower than Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, which is currently at 2.61%?

Why is Wolzard Fire considered an extra ranger as opposed to a bangai/extra hero?
|
He transforms with an item as opposes to a spell, or being defaulted in that form. And if you consider Wolkaiser his technically his robot, then he has a robot that has compatibility with the main ones.
|
But Hyuuga also transforms into the Black Knight with an item, the Bull Riot, yet he's considered an extra hero.
|
I feel like it's more fluid and "little of aisle A, little of aisle B" with these classifications, especially when you get to guys like Gaisorg and Stacaesar. I get why these definitions arose - Sentai is extremely formulaic in the type of heroes it uses, and those that don't adhere to specific aesthetics and roles stand out a lot like Gunmazin and Black Knight - but ultimately it gets harder and harder to justify the cut-and-dry nature of those definitions as time goes on, and that has never been more true now that we've got Zenkaiger.

Like Black Knight teetering between 6th and bangai until Gokaiger firmly planted him in the bangai section. Characters like Gaisorg and Stacaesar are a little more confusing, but it seems, despite aesthetic changes, they'd be considered extra rangers/evil rangers. Quote:
It's been rather clear that order of appearance is irrelevant when determining sixth or additional ranger. |
I get it would have maybe affected the story a bit, but I did personally much prefer Wolzard Fire to MagiShine and wished he'd been in it more (Japan and US versions), that would have been a much better show in my opinion lol but I suppose he didn't need to be given he does technically fulfill a certain role in the story!

I'm on Go Busters 36.
i have yet to see USA Beast Morphers. Has Beast Morphers used the Mesiah Cards near the end out of curiosity? Also watching Ryu Soul - Episode 22 Have the Dark and Light Zords turned up in Dino Fury yet or would that happen in the back 20 next year? |
