So I didn't even know this was a thing. I'm no fan of MLP, but Horse is my year, so I want this. Saw it being prepared for stocking when we were cleaning up after closing.
Year of the Horse Pinkie Pie at TRU |
I'd just like to let everyone know that it's been five days and Hearts Strong as Horses is still stuck in my head. :lol

It's been 2 months and Apples To The Core is still stuck in my head. And that song hasn't even aired yet :lol |

Saw episode 4 and watching 5 now.
This song with the Crusaders... Im lovin this song. The country tune it has? Yes. Pure win. Plus they gave the group somewhat southern accents? Or at least Applebloom more in the song! |

Hold up, they were in the Crystal Empire but no cameo with Cadence or Shining? OKay. :lol

Ok, time to start Daring Don't! "written by David Polsky" Oh...hooray...[/sarcasm]
EDIT: and done. It was ok, I don't really get why "A.K. Yearling" felt the need to disguise herself. I wasn't expecting her to be Daring Do, I mean I wasn't expecting Daring Do to actually exist. I'll give David some credit for that one, however when she was fighting off those bandits I thought to myself "Why aren't they helping her? They can fight too." So, yeah...it was alright. |
All I am saying is after looking at the its morphin time pic for power ponies I want to see Big Mac dressed as Tuxedo Mask. It must be done for it would look so cool.

As for why they didn't help, remember that it was explained that Dash placed Daring on a pedestal so high that she doubted her own ability to perform. Quote:

and I meant when she was fighting off those goons in her house. They waited until after she was injured to be all like "Maybe we should go help her" |

I dunno... Oh, and I remember that scene. It stood out to me as odd, too. |

Reading some of the comics right now... so what's the reason for Celestia being pink in the Cadance/Shining Armor backstory issues? Besides the nod to the incorrectly colored toys of her, perhaps.
Or I'm just seeing it wrong... it does seem subtle but when compared to the white guard next to her she totally isn't white. |

Meh, okay then.
--- Oh my god there's a Luffy in the first pirate issue. That. Is. Awesome! |

I dont remember if I commented about S4E4 yet or not, I know I did on 5.
I thought it was good, a parody of Indiana was fun at least. Other than that, I still find it funny the character obsessed with Daring is the one she is based off of :lol |
I am curious about ages, now....

I loved this episode.
This villain...I need more of the Maneiac :lol |
Apparently, YouTube's copyright system won't let me find the new episode. :(
It appears I'll have to resort to the video with a live chat taking up half of the screen. |
Power Ponies was a nice Spike episode, and I like myself some Spike episodes.
Honestly it worked out way better than I expected, I thought that the superhero motif would clash badly, but the powersets were great and the adventure wasn't that different from your average episode. |
Despite the live chat taking up half of the screen, I did quite enjoy the adventures of the Mighty Morphin' Equine Justice League of Avengers.
|
I liked this episode but I have 2 nitpicks. 1. Why are they fixing up Luna and Celestia's old castle? Does Twilight get it now? Will Celestia and Luna go back there, and Twilight gets the one in Canterlot? Also, 6 Ponies to fix up an entire CASTLE I mean, if it was a room, then yeah, but a whole castle? I think you would want more than 6 ponies working on a whole castle. 2. Fluttershy's Hulk out felt a bit forced.
Other than those two minor nitpicks, I really liked this episode, Rarity became even more awesome by being a Star Sapphire. :D Is it wrong that I want figures of the Power Ponies now? As for last week's episode? I liked it, except for Diamond Tiara. :I |

And don't worry. I'm clamoring for the figures now, too :lol |

I mean, dude she kinda scared me. :lol Also, I wasn't expecting them to get sucked into an enchanted comic book, I thought it was going to be a dream Spike had, but I'm glad it wasn't, and Rainbow Dash was like "We have superpowers now!" I thought to myself "You guys already have powers. Twilight has Magic, Rarity has...magic, Fluttershy can talk to animals, Rainbow Dash has speed, and weather manipulation (and it's assumed Fluttershy has this skill as well), Pinkie has her Pinkie Sense, and I guess the only one who doesn't have any powers is Applejack. It's not a complaint, just an observation. |
You have to see it from their point of view, though. All Pegasi can manipulate the weather to some degree, so to Dash, holding up a pendant and being able to create a tornado is something super to her. To a pony who has used magic their whole life, being able to create energy constructs with little effort is certainly new.
And I loved AJ. Telekinetic lasso? Horseshoe cuffs? It's like she was the Hawkeye of the group. Strangely mundane, but completely badass! Oh, and I want figures of all of them. Mane-Iac and Spike included :lol |
Quote:
Those Horseshoe Cuffs were awesome! ...I did want a D-Arts Elizabeth, but I kinda want a custom Rarity now (or twilight, I love her costume and hairstyle). :lol |
