I dunno man, they've been building up to Micchy as a psychopath for a while and i think Takatora seems pretty consistent. Kaito I think theyre just finally starting to get a handle on though.

Micchy has always been single minded about keeping Mai "happy" as he refers to it. That meant keeping the whole Team Gaim in the dark. He cooperated with Takatora in hopes of stopping this invasion, but he has no qualms about Yggdrasil's methods.

Now that Mai knows and furthermore, disapproves of him, he lost his one sole motivation. No wonder he's unscrewed. It's actually quite a natural development if you observed him over the past 20+ episodes because that boy is obsessed about only one thing and that's Mai.

Takatora is going along with Project Ark because he sees no alternative. Remember, unlike Ryouma, Kaito or Kouta, he doesn't know about the Overlords, and it remains to be seen how he'll take their existence. So it's pretty clear what his motivations are: to save the world in the only way he knows how.

Kaito is embroiled in his "survival of the fittest" mentality. He is searching for a way to gain and use power in the coming new world, and feels defeating the Overlords will give him that power.

Their motivations may seem a touch on the crazy side, but they make perfect sense for their personalities. :lol

This was the episode I was waiting for.

Micchi's unraveling was going to begin sooner or later and I'm excited to see the road he goes down from here. I love characters like Micchy, who become self-proclaimed protectors but fall down a corrupted path and do shady or even villainous things believing that it's just another form of justice. If he doesn't kick the bucket by the end of the series I'll be completely amazed.

Am I the only one who's disappointed Kota didn't get to kick the shit out of Kaito using Kachidoki Arms? Seriously, having our manly protagonist kick the shit out of that arrogant prick would have been cathartic as hell.

I'm disappointed too. Fuck you micchy! Why did you have to ruin that moment?

I have a feeling the Kachidoki lockseed is going to be stolen/taken at some point.

Great episode, but I'm officially tired of Kachidoki Arms. The suit is gorgeous, but I am dead fucking tired of seeing close-ups of the DJ Gun. I get how the toy works, already, move the hell on.

I'm the opposite. I don't think we have had enough of that DJ gun.
