I was kinda hoping for the TV version, just because it rocks more, but eh. I'll take it over one of the modern iterations.

That is odd you'd think they would've wanted to record a new version or something.

That actually would have been neat, I think. Not saying I disliked the way they did do it, but it would've been nice and subtle.

Speaking of the yellow Ranger, I just realized something: Trini mentions to her parents that she found an alien spaceship and is probably a super hero - her mother even presumably does a urine test and (probably) discovers that her daughter wasn't on drugs when making this claim, and her brothers seem to flat out believe her immediately. This is mere DAYS before the entire town is attacked by alien monsters and is saved by superheroes piloting an alien robot.

Don't you think Trini's family (at least her dad?) would suspect that she might be one of the Rangers? I know her mom seems kind of crazy, but still. Do they just think that it's only one hell of a coincidence that she brings up aliens and super heroes a whole week before they're suddenly public icons?

That opening sequence was phenomenal and exactly what I wanted to see.

My only real lingering problems are still a distaste for the Megazord and Goldar's appearance. Seeing them in action didn't do anything at all to improve my thoughts on those.

But that aside, I really did end up enjoying this movie a heck of a lot more than I expected to going in. It was just fun.

I just didn't like the fact that they stripped Goldar of all personality and made him a mindless brute...

Makes me wonder how they'll bring in Zedd since Goldar backstabbing Rita was what caused him to go to the moon in the show.

Maybe Zedd was the one that made Rita go evil in the first place? He could come back to Earth to see how Rita did, and decides to take matters into his own hands when he sees she failed.
