I downloaded the first episode, so I will watch it sometime this week. Skimming through it though it, I'm not sure what to think other than holy shit, the monsters are real and were killing people.

So speed duels are different and dangerous apparently. A single crash equals mind crush apparently. I do find it weird that for them to get more powerful cards they have to dive intp a tornado. Also I really do not like the design of the one guy who is probably be the main characters friend.

Reading the manga again not too long ago I feel like Yugioh deserves a Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood-esque re-adaptation with a more creepy/horror aesthetic.

It is possible, the mangas tend to be their own thing for the most part and Arc-V I think got two mangas so it is possible. Also I really want to read the Arc-V manga and keep reading the 5Ds one but I can't find a site that has the complete series.

I've been saying this for years. They could easily get through all 38 volumes in probably 100 episodes.

Or all 38 in 9 episodes like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Huh? That's not even possible.

Oh it is. Phantom Blood or Part 1 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is like 45 chapters squished down into 9 episodes. Somehow there are people who say this is the best part. And it is as bad as you think it would be. I suggest not watching it unless you don't want to give a shit through it. It is boring, rushed, annoying, just all around bad.

That's 45 chapters though. That's not 38 volumes with about 10 chapters each. Plus, they couldn't do that because of all of the individual single stories in the beginning.

My belief is that they could start out by doing two stories per episode (have them separated by the commercial break spot at the halfway point) except for the stories that took more than 1 manga chapter like Death T and the Dark RPG. Those would probably need 2-3 episodes each. Duelist Kingdom could be done in roughly 25 episodes, Battle City would be the biggest with about 30 episodes, while the Memories arc would be about 15-20, with the final 2 episodes of the show being the Atem/Yugi duel.

So I watched the first 3 episodes to Yu-Gi-Oh! VRains and I'm pretty much done. It was boring. There was way too much exposition going on, too many new rules introduced, some of which made no sense, and nothing is really at stake given it's all part of a virtual world. It's pretty much Yu-Gi-Oh! meets Tron, but it feels like they also forgot the card game aspect of the show with all of the virtual world talk. Not that that would be an issue if the thing was at least entertaining to watch. Oh well, at least I have Dark Dimensions to look forward to next month.

Yeah these three episodes have not been that good. Though since the show just started it is only normal that nothing is at stake just yet. I do hope the show goes more easy on the exposition and show use more of the game or this will be a long trip for me.

The problem is that there is nothing here that makes me want to watch the next 150+ episodes.

I won't mind a remake of Season Zero and Duel Monsters. I find the Duel Monsters anime to hold up badly. There was way too many 2 or 3 part episodes of one card game. Most card battles can be over in a single episode.

it shame toei want let go of the first 7 volume anime adaption right i mean NAS need to do it. i think fans are demanding it as well alot more.

Got two new Number Cards last night! Yay!

For me, it is the music that really makes Duel Monsters watchable.

Duel Monsters had too much filler, too many two or three part episodes and I feel like the animation is not that great (Even for early 2000's standers). It could need a new anime adaption of the manga.

Got two booster packs. It has been years since I got one and with it I got a Number 48 Shadow Lich, I it will go well with my Illumiknight due to their similar faces.

ihang onis more then just card names in english. due to the uk version has the japanese character names in subs title just with the english card names.

Nope. Someone on another site who got an early copy went through the Japanese version and said the subtitles did not match up to the dialog and that it matched the dubbed script word for word.

Wow just saw episode 6 of VRAINS and wow is it boring. I mean come on pick things up. I know they are just setting the ground work right now but damn does it feel like nothing happens. From this episode I gather that our main lead Playmaker is the dull boring type of characters that need other characters around him to make him work. The only other characters that show some emotion that I remember Are Gon who is not that bad, Blue Angel who's real name is Aoi, who gets some more character next week. AI who is just a little ass so either like or don't like him. And the annoying guy with the ugly face. So I understand not having a duel every episode but when you are going to change a lot it would be best to have more than three duels in seven episodes. Crap talking about this show is making me lose track. So unless this show does what Appmon and some other shows do by getting better around episode 20, anyone who likes watching Yugioh is fucked.

Anchor Bay is releasing the BD, not 4K Media. Anchor Bay released Ghost in teh Shell Stand Alone Complex earlier on BD this year which also included dubtitles, no chapter stops, no bonus features, English audio that would sometimes switch over to Japanese for a line or two and then go back to English because those sections of the English audio were missing, etc. Anchor Bay is a mess and does not deserve to be releasing any anime on video at all. Oh, and they were also passing on the blame to other people when they weren't deleting the complaints off their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Why not just get the DVD then if it's got accurate subtitles?

So, I'm just starting to get back into watching the anime, only really watched DM and GX, I'm following VRAINS right now, but which of the in-betweens are good? Zexal? Arc-V? 5Ds?

5d's is amazing, Zexal started off weak but had a really strong ending & Arc-v was the opposite of Zexal- started off strong but had a really weak ending

For Ghost in the Shell SAC? The DVDs are out of print because they were released by Bandai. So if you don't have the DVDs already, your only option are the BDs. However, that is beside the point. The point of the matter is that Anchor Bay is insulting anime fans with this subpar releases and then not taking responsibility for it and owning up to it.

All three are good but do have bad parts. 5Ds starts out good but by the final villain it becomes shit. Arc-V is good but has a tournament section that others did not care for and the last eight episodes are shit, if you watch it I suggest you top after they beat the big bad. As for Zexal I think it was good but I don't remember it having anything bad or at least as bad as the stuff in 5Ds and Arc-V. Also it is apparently pronounced Zeal with the X just being a symbol . Finally death to the shivers, if you see Arc-V you will understand it.

Watch the first 64 episodes of 5Ds and then call it good. Once they defeat Godwin the series was done.

Well if no one buys it they'd either have to fix it or maybe Funimation or Viz would get involved like they did for One Piece hopefully.

sorry, i have disagreed there as I preferred the later last villain over Godwin and the tie with bonds as well made it better for me. Godwin was annoying was a good first villain but 5Ds story felt unfinished from there nothing was solved.

also normally 4K do the subtitle before handing it to disruptor that why the sub on UK release is proper subs due to 4k subs are good. as they the one being used on Crunchyroll. for the subbed anime.

Oh, I don't think there is a DVD release of the movie, but if there is, it would be the same.

Plus, why would I want to buy a downgraded release? The movie was animated in HD. Dropping it down to standard def is an insult.

Anyway, I've downlaoded the UK rip that is supposed to have real subtitles. I'll watch it in the next week or so. Sucks that I waited this long to watch the movie as I had been holding out on the official release and then the official release is nothing more than a scam.

Strange though that the UK release would have accurate subs but not the US version.

It's all about Anchor Bay. All of the other countries that have gotten Ghost in the SHell SAC on BD have also had proper subs and everything. Only the US release was gimped.

I finally decide to watch the Dark Dimension movie and yep it is crap. Just wow I have no clue if its because its of the original characters with all their friendship crap or what, But I gave less than zero shit through this movie so because of this I have to now get rid of shit. Would anyone like to have some friendship shit? I got plenty to give.
