I think a space theme could easily work, but I have no idea what kind of gimmick they would use. I have no idea how the switches from Fourze did in sales, but I would assume it would be something completely different

I think the mechas could be like megaranger.

I was thinking more like Timeranger; a bunch of smaller space ships that come together to form a giant space ship/gattai.

I think each Super Sentai series should have a Kamen Rider counterpart for example, Magiranger and Kamen Rider Wizard. I thought there should be an insect themed Sentai to match up with Kamen Rider Kabuto.

I really don't think we will ever get an insect themed sentai. A pair of extra rangers has worked in Hurricaneger and Go-Busters (although Go-Busters is the new basement dweller in Toei's eyes), but I really don't think Toei and Bandai are going to try to do any encroaching on KR. KR is the money maker and eye catcher, no reason to mess with that.

Wasn't there a second season with a different Voltron that was vehicles? I've never seen Voltron, but I'm told this is the case. It wasn't as popular as the one with the big cats.

There was a vehicle voltron, but it has little relevance to what the others were suggesting.

In Japan he was called Dairugger.

There was Voltron, then the season with two Voltron, one Lions and one vehicles from where the space federation or whatever tried to copy Voltron's powers. Then there were 3 other seasons called Land, Sea, and Sky. Each season Voltron was comprised of vehicles/machines that fit the title.

Underwater. Like SeaQuest, but less lame, and with more subs. Or underwater cowboys that use rocket ships.

Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger is 15 (Read: Fifteen) combining parts, and, if I recall, doesn't combine into one singular ship. It's not quite what you're looking for.

I want an insect sentai. I was thinking the team shoukd go like this:

Red: Japanese rhinoceros beetle
Blue: Dragonfly
Green: Praying Mantis or Grasshopper
Yellow: Bee
Pink: Ladybug or Butterfly
Sixth (Unknown Color): Stag Beetle or Spider ( I know spiders aren't insects, but the sixth rangers are always different)

Realistically, I have to agree with 7L, insect sentai (an entire team and not just sixth rangers/secondary team) will not happen as long as the superior money-maker Kamen Rider is on the air.

It should not be a problem if super sentai goes all buggy on us.
Heck, it has been 9 years since we had a proper insect rider so why not. And OOO does not count since that is only 1/3 of an insect and Gatakiriba is not the primary form for OOO, so yeah. :lolol

If it happened, like any other sentai. Villains want to attack Earth and a team comes together and stops them. If Ant-Man does really well, I think we could get another insect themed rider. A rider that can shrink to fight? It could work...I guess...

For the insect sentai, the villains could be spiders, so it would insects vs arachnids. I don't want them to be alien spiders. The whole alien villain theme is to common, I want them to be normal spiders that mutated. I need help on what the morpher and collectable device should be.

Mutants are pretty cliché also but that is one of the charms of sentai new variations on a cliché or trope. Lol

Have you seen a Super Sentai?
So much of the series is based around cliches that it shows their true creativity by working around those cliches and using them to their advantage. Putting a unique twist on a tired concept. It doesn't change the concept as a whole, but it makes it interesting.

That is literally what I just said. New variations on a cliche or trope is the same as putting a unique twist on a tired concept (i.e. cliche or trope).

I would like to see another season with humans versus humans, good technology versus evil technology. And it wouldn't hurt for it to take place in space and for the actress that played Miku in Megaranger to be the mentor.

It's basically going back on what you said in the same sentence. "Mutants are cliche, but then again..."

Mutants and aliens are cliche though. Any super hero movie the protagonist fights either a evil genius and his/her creations, mutant, or an alien. That is fine; there is nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't make it any less cliche. That is how the genre is and sentai's identity is being able to give us a new spin on these cliches. It's one of the most enduring aspects of the show, IMO.

• Interplanetary (each Ranger is from a different planet)
