Onua name is still Onua, I just checked the board and the Lego Mod there said it was a typo and working on to fix it on his character bio.

Speaking of Onua he seems to be the most drastic retcon change out of all them since the Onua from before was more, well he wasn't sleeping or meditating that's for sure :lol

I hope Jungle is Air+"The Green." I like the whole Air Elemental thing.

And I like the whole "Hard Reboot." It means that they can't fuck up the old Bionicle canon.
Our Lewa is not this Lewa and thus if this Jungle thing pisses you off, then just keep the classics.

And I want Kaita forms!

It doesn't annoy me. I actually really like it, and I think it plus air actually fits the original intention of Le-Koro (the jungle of doom back from 2001), if they're still keeping that kind of thing.

Seriously though. It is nice that this hard reboot did happen.... But I guess we really don't have a ending as to what happened to the other characters since the story was just cut off at the time.

Here's what I want to know: is this new Mask of Creation identical to the one from the Original series? As in, the design is canon with the old series as well?

And would new Kanohi be canon as well? Could unseen Kanohi designs be made now and also canon with the last series? Like more Hagah masks or a Pehkui that's NOT just the Kanohi Kirin?

I think in terms of designs their are essences from the original series, but in terms of stuff being canon most likely not since this is a pretty hard reboot.


But say they had a old design they just had stuck in a bin or something like your wondering would it be canon for the original bionicle line if they made it official for the new reboot, my answer/guess would be no.

Oh wow! That's really amazing, these guys look larger than most LEGO figures.

The three little words that made the return of Bionicle go from "hey, that's neat, maybe I'll buy one of those sometime if I have the money" to "I WILL OWN THEM ALL!!!" for me.

And got me from "So much win" to "Ughh, they'll need to get modded"
I never liked the gears.

That gearbox thing is a really cool idea. A lot of potential.

Well, at least it was done cleverly here, they got both balljoints and the shoulder gear swivel.

Gosh darn when the first official product site launched they looked a bit more beefy which is ok, but now looking at the actual sets in hand or at least for Tahu looks like he put on some anchor arms. I can now only imagine how Onua must look like :lol

Were not talking about any of the blasters right? Because some of them were cool... My favorite being the Midak Sky blasters, moving on...


As for an actual gear gimmick I think the only one I truly liked were the Hordika arms swivel up and down because that didn't hinder anything and it was just a optional thing while keeping screen accurate look when looking at their CGI movie counter part.

Yeah, the Hordika pulled it off, it existed, but it didn't affect poseability.

The Hordika arm gear most certainly did affect poseability. It made one of their elbows completely useless.

What they've done here with the new Toa is brilliant. It doesn't impact anything and adds a fun, cool feature.

Well to be fair they were mutated version of the Toa self. Lore story aside, I didn't really see how it affected anything the Hordika arm let you swivel the elbow up and down if you wanted to use the gear, if not you could still move it around with the use of the gear knob on top of the shoulder, and it wasn't loose or anything in doing so.


I'll admit the new Modern/Reboot Bionicle gear here looks like a 5.0 upgrade of the former Toa Mata releases, but you could still see that the the arms are slightly loose on it's own due to the gear function.

I seriously no have major complaints here because hey were getting bionicles back :lol

I'm buying the first Pohatu I see.

If anything the other arm was worse since it was a single piece.

Wise man.
