I prefer Crystal both story- and art-wise myself and I could care less about the old anime. But everyone should like whatever they want, just PLEASE don't be so rude to each other.

Having moved a lot, I've learned to stop expecting people to have watched what I have. That way, if they have, it's a pleasant surprise.

I also like people with the power of fire, but Mars is way lower on my list than Moon, Pluto, Tux and Venus. Which doesn't mean I don't think she's awesome.

Yeah I dislike the manga and prefer the anime but I don't like how Tux was downgraded in the anime still think having a more likable Usagi,better villains and more developed Scouts is a fair trade though.

But if people prefer Crystal no skin off my back I'll just keep watching the original anime.

I like sailor moon crystal but old anime wil have soft spot and I ant talking bout English dub I grew and learned of sailor moon thanks to German dub due to it was RTL 2 when I was younger and I lived in uk through out my life my late name lived with us and we had German sat dish to watch German tv I learned of sailor moon dragon ball and one piece thanks to that I will all way have a piece of my hear there for it. I just prefer crystal more now.

I think that's the major advantage I have as someone who started with the toku, because the characters were more like in the manga, but all very well-developed. I then watched the musicals, which are a mixture of everything and then dealt with Crystal/ the manga. The lack of character development is thus no problem for me because I already have the senshi as very round characters in my head.
But I think it is easier for me to like Crystal because I never really got into the old anime anyway. I watched bits of it, but I never liked it and preferred how the story and characters were presented in the manga and the toku. The musicals are somewhere between that, they have some very anime-esque moments, but also some aspects of the manga.

Poor animation is the least of Crystal's flaws.

I prefer the artwork of Crystal because I prefer the manga's artwork, but Crystal is a mixed bag because the manga was a mixed bad. The Black Moon Family story is absolute horse crap in the manga, so it is just as bad in Crystal. The four sisters had absolute no development and the first three chapters pointlessly gave a new soldier an upgrade just to have them captured at the end, which was bs. It served no purpose and was more annoying than tragic. I really feel like Naoko had no idea what she wanted to do here and was just scrapping from the bottom of the barrel here just to make it different from the Dark Moon Kingdom arc.

Thankfully, things will get better afterwards, especially when they get to the Dead Moon Circus. However, get read for really creepy gross scenes with Chibi-Usa after this arc is over.

The only thing I do truly like better in the manga/Crystal from the original anime is that Rei is not a bitch.

Well regardless, that's how shows with limited runs (which Crystal had at the time of starting) work. Budget is poured into the beginning, not the end.

Considering that Sailor Moon was never planned to run as long as it did, this is actually pretty understandeable. Being asked to continue, Takeuchi rushed into the following arcs and you sometimes feel that.
Personally though, I never bothered about the Ayakashi sisters too much because not all villains need strong character development imho. They were meant to prove that there's a larger group of rebels from them Black Moon and show the Senshi that they still have to grow a lot more because they are not yet strong enough to take on upcoming threats. And they did just that. Yes, they were plot devices. But personally, I think those are needed too.

I just read the manga a few months ago, so I have a fresh memory on it. Go to the SuperS arc especially.

I was way too young when it was in its heyday, and I only remember seeing the SuperS movie when it was on Toonami, that's it. But I did watch the Japanese series in 2012, and finished it last year, before the new English dub came out. Trust me, the new English dub is 1 gabillion times better than the old dub, both in casting and scripting. Sailor Moon isn't my favorite, and it has its flaws, but I will say this: some parts of its fandom are super nice and kind. I've seen some toxic fans, but there's this forum I joined called The Galaxy Cauldron, and going there has done wonders for me, especially after my bad relationship with the Precure fandom. Anyone who's a Sailor Moon fan, please go there. The people there are warm, welcoming, accepting, and kind, and there's NO drama or SJWs!!!!!

Dude... you're mixing things up again. Chibiusa and Usagi switch bodies in one chapter and Usagi kisses Mamoru (in the shape of a little girl. But she's still Usagi) and monologue in this scene is USAGI speaking, not Chibiusa (also, it's not making out, it's just a short kiss on the lips because Mamoru is sleeping). Chibiusa does see the two of them together, but she doesn't fantasize about her being with Mamoru, but rather is a bit jealous that the person she idolizes, Mamoru, is someone she can never be with. Chibiusas has the mind of a CHILD. How could she fantasize about making out when she doesn't even know what that is? Also, it is normal for little girls to have somewhat of a crush on their dad when they are young, because that is their male figure to identify with, thus someone they look up to and consider "ideal". It's a childish form of love. It has nothing to do with sexual love or anything.

There is a Sailor Moon Forum called "The Galaxy Cauldron" and that's what Juliko was talking about. But the forum is indeed named after a location in the world of Sailor Moon. Galaxy Cauldron is the place where stars are born and were all the Sailor Crystals and Star Seeds come from. It is the place where Usagi fights Chaos in both the manga and some of the musicals.

So, I went to kissanime.com. And when you pull up an anime it generally says how far the series is, or how many episodes they have subbed/dubbed. I went to look up Sailor Moon Crystal and it said "Complete" next to it. Did they decide to stop the series after the Dark Moon arc?
