Am i the only one that thinks there's somthing wrong with we still don't know who's playing Zordon or voiceing Alpha 5? Are they even in the movie? May be Rita gives them there powers? I know that may not happen. But why do we not have casting news for Zordon & Alpha?

I'm not worried. Both Zordon and Alpha could be entirely set and motion capture roles, so it would be easy to keep both of them secret. Banks as Rita was announced because they knew she would be seen in stuff like this, and it was also a big deal to sign her on.

I really highly doubt they would have Rita be their mentor. As for what she's doing with them, I imagine she's trying to trick them into not trusting Zordon.

$7.95 for a newspaper?! Still, there's something amusing about the ridiculousness of "31 quarters, 2 dimes, and 1 nickel". The change box in that machine must fill up fast.

That's my big takeaway from this batch of pics.

So, perhaps she's absorbing their powers somehow and that's how she gains her Dragon form. That's...actually kind of canon with the power absorption. But instead of a candle, she just walks up to them and sucks it out of their mouth?

Initial reaction: I'm fine with the suits. It's a change that doesn't go TOO over the top.

Looks like a lot of Pacific Rim inspiration. I think I'd like em better if their helmets still had animal details. But as of now? Meh.

I'm pretty sure the helmets do have the animal detailing, though.

Look at Red's helmet closely and you can see a t-rex head melded into it.

In case you don't immediately realize which popular suit design they're ripping off, they even make the diamonds on the chests glow now. Jesus Christ, they look awful. The overly techy design does not work for the Power Rangers, at all.

They went SIC Another Agito when Figuarts Another Agito would have sufficed is my initial opinion. Still I will save final judgement after I see how they look alongside the Megazord.

That and of course I need to see them in motion, this is just a first impression.

I can see it in Red's a little but the others look virtually the same to me aside from the color.

Then you're really not looking. Pink as the pterodactyl beak coming down the middle of her visor. That was the first thing I noticed about their helmets.

These costumes feel a little lifeless.

I mean....yellow, black, and blue look like they have beaks as well. Aside from red they all look pretty similar. My best guess is these aren't the final look.

I still look forward to the movie. It could be a good film. I just want a decent film that does well and do well enough that Power Rangers can become a bigger mainstream franchise similar what happen with Transformers and TMNT.

Posting this here too: Had a thought: what if the morphers detach and form into the rangers weapons, it feeds into my Rita's staff=gold morpher theory. Also I hope they go with the classic weapons (sword,bow,axe,lance and daggers) instead of the stuff we got in the first movie.... was any reason ever given for that I've always assumed it was budget/time constraints.

Sunday Edit: Was poking around rangerboard today and saw that someone had outlined the features of the yellow rangers helmet: the motif is that of a saber tooth tiger roaring, once you realize that you can never not see the animal in the design. The eyes are set further back because of that thus giving us an odd impression.
