As is the Eyecon - nothing about building it yourself, but that they didn't implement the turn mechanism and instead have this holographic sticker is beyond cheap.

Wow, that Ikkyu Eyecon is a disappointment. I hope they never do this with eyecons ever again. Is there even a finisher?

That hoodie (along with like, seven others) came as extra toys for the Super TV-kun that came out on the 12th. TV-kun toys are almost always papercraft stuff, so no, not really sad. That time it just came with a vinyl figure of Ghost and some hoodies to mess with. Nothing big.

As for the Ikkyu Eyecon, (besides the fact that I brought up the fact that it was a lenticular Eyecon a few times a while ago...) yeah, it's pretty lame. I kinda get why they did it--a regular Eyecon would probably have required them to make you sticker everything yourself, and the way the stickers for the Eyecons work that could have gone wrong easily...but even if that's the case it's a drastic solution. And a weird one. For what may have been said, making all this new stuff instead of just reusing the mechanisms for the other Eyecons they've made really doesn't sound cheap at all.

I don't much like it either, but eh, I still got one. Just because HLJ had it, anyway. I'm still throwing the idea of making custom Eyecons around in my head, and I'm getting some extra Candy Toys and Gashapons next month so making a proper Ikkyu seems like a good place to start. The included top sticker would be useful.

Anyway, for those hoping they never do this again, they did it at least once. Pythagoras is the same, unfortunately, and no, they don't have finishers.

If you make a custom Ikkyu Eyecon, I would really be looking forward to seeing it. I'm just curious to see what you do for the finisher. Good luck with it if you do it.

Well I'd probably wait to see if the Ikkyu special has him use an Omega Drive or what. It'd be odd if it didn't, but we'll see.

Is the Megaloader and Houdini all there is for January? (as far as RP DX toys, go?)

Also, I just paid for the Sunglasslasher and MAN. Why is it more expensive than the Gangun Saber? That just doesn't make sense.

I assume the extra cost for the Sunglasslasher comes from having two Eyecons instead of one. (it's like...500 yen more expensive, soooo)

I thought about that. The the price for the extra Eyecon sort of makes sense, but on the other hand the Slasher just does so much LESS than the previous weapon. I wish the Sunglasses could also perform Eye Contact like the other two, at least. It can't, can it? I don't recall seeing that in the videos, so I assume it doesn't.

I dunno. After being spoiled by the Saber's massive playability and gadget functionality, two forms which are then just powered up by Boost for one super attack each seems like a big step down.

It does less as far as the forms go, but it's likely pretty close as far as size is concerned, I'm guessing. Since it has to accommodate two Eyecons in its main part, without even getting to the blade or handle. It's gonna be a pretty sizable toy. Actually yeah, this video shows both, and the Sunglasslasher just looks a bit heftier. Play value-wise, you're right, but with its size, all the lights and sounds it has, and the two Eyecons, I can see where they're coming from with the price.

Not that I don't wish it was cheaper, but oh well.

It'll cost 3860 to ship it with Benkei, Ikkyu and Boost...gotta wait a while >_<

Actually reasonably priced. 777 per Eyecon isn't bad. It does bother me that it's a limited release (why are all these premium sets limited?) but I'll definitely try to get it.

Ah, speaking of limited Eyecon sets, the fifth Eyecon in the Ganma set was revealed. It's Alan, as I expected. Still keeping his actual design secret though, I guess.

Meh...may have gotten ahead of myself with the holiday spending here. Don't have enough funds for everything at the moment so I had to cancel my Sunglasslasher order from HLJ. Which is really a shame, since I really want both the thing itself and those Eyecons. Oh well. Hope I can pick it up a bit later.

Also cancelled my orders for Gashapon set 7 (chances of getting the blank one are too low to justify it) and the Machine Hoodie, cause even though I want Houdini, it just looks...not great. Still, hoping to pick it up at a later date, or the Eyecon loose from...somewhere. I'll see.

Oh well, at least I have a month until the Megauruoda. Thing looks sweet. Though now that I think about it if it really comes out on the 30th that's after the deadline for my Private Warehouse. That's...unfortunate. Egh. Hoping I can get a Sunglasslasher before then then. It's backordered at the moment and I don't have funds so...eh. What a mess.

Well this is downright bizarre.

The 11th Gashapon set comes with Drive, which makes sense, but then also 8 of Takeru's heroic Eyecons. For...reasons? I don't get it.

So I'm just assuming everyone a HLJ took this last week off, then? I'm not mad; I get it. They deserve a holiday/new year break or whatever. But I would've liked an email or something estimating about when my order will actually ship, you know?

I kind of wish the Boost Eyecon only had a single sound when you pressed the button, rather than cycling through three. The explosion makes sense, given its first appearance where it basically explodes when he presses it. It's kind of annoying having to cycle through the burning sound (which plays during the standby anyway) and lame kindling sounds to get the one I actually want more often than not.

So the Legend Rider Eyecons are going to numbered based off of their Heisei Rider number with a R in front of it. For example, Double is the 11th Heisei rider, do his is R11.

Some people are already getting their Machine Hoodies. It kinda looked like it from pictures, but yeah. Houdini's stickers are of a different sort from the rest of the DX Eyecons. I guess to emphasize that Houdini is a special biketterfly. And also, sort of, Specter's equivalent of an upgrade (Boost having a unique sticker style and all).

Or maybe they were just being lazy and didn't want to bother with the whole fancy holographic look. I dunno.

Yeah, if I wasn't as happy as I am about it existing at all (seriously, was not really expecting any more Eyecons) I would be pretty peeved about its method of release. Kamehameha is plenty expensive and all he was was released at a museum. Unless they make obscene amounts of it, I can't imagine Galileo will go cheap. Still, happy he's there at all.

Also I love his mask design and hoodie. So great.
