New episode was pretty good. It's funny - I find Chihiro fairly aggravating but, when paired with Iyu, he's more tolerable! Maybe it's the fact that she could kill him any time his stomach growls. The Neo / Crow team up on the disgusting Anteater / Elephant Amazon was pretty bitchin'.

As ever, there's always some stupid element in Amazonz and here it was our season one team taking Team Kiss dude out on a mission - with no armor or weapons. That is just incredibly dumb, I don't think I need to extrapolate on the why.

Don't know why I've not commented on the new season yet. Only caught up through episode 3, but it took that one to really getting me caring again. Chihiro being Haruka-lite wasn't getting me very invested, but seeing the old cast was great. And they're all gearing up for action too, so hopefully we keep seeing a decent amount of them.

There's just something about Chihiro that's making it hard for me to like him. Maybe... it feels like we were rushed into seeing him as the hero? I don't expect to know everything about him right away, but his "I want to be human though I'm clearly in denial about not being one" shtick to be likable isn't working for me. Hell, I was taking to the rest of Team X more and felt really bad about what happened to them. Just some kids who got in over their heads. Good motivation for the one to join the exterminators though. And Iyu as another try at a Sigma seems like it could be interesting.

Just watched episode 4 today.

I noticed that whenever Iyu and the Elephant Amazon made any movement during the fight, the show would pipe in noises of their respective animals. I know that's been around since episode 14 whenever Iyu fights, but has that been a thing for all the other AotW too?

So Real Talk: is Iyu a Rider?

She shouts Amazons when she transforms, which none of the wild Amazonz do, or Mamoru.

She has a device she presses to transform.

And she's specifically developed from Sigma, who was a "Rider" so far as this series has them.

So is Iyu a Rider, or another Tackle?

She's no Rider since she has no belt. The armlet is the same one Chihiro's wearing and an upgrade to a medication device every Amazon had, only upgraded.

Sigma was resurrected like she was but got a belt, Iyu didn't.

I wouldn't call her a Tackle either since she's no sidekick, she's just a special operations Amazon. Until the show decides otherwise that is.

Alright, episode 4. Bit of a weird change of pace but I actually liked it. I did want to see more of Iyu after all and Chihiro growing is good too. I also like the guy not afraid to bluntly call him out for absolutely being an Amazon and not human.

I had noticed the crow noises whenever Iyu fought, but I don't recall picking anything else out until the elephant doctor. So now I wonder if the others had that as well. Speaking of the doctor... Yuck. I hadn't connected why he sniffed so much until this episode, because elephants don't eat with their trunks so that would be si-... NOPE. Totally has a tongue out of that. Gross.

Hey the other team members can speak! Woahhhh. Who knew?? :lol

And Mamo! ...Why you so angry buddy? Aw...

She basically fills the role of S2 Mole Amazon as an ally who is an Amazon, except she's a lot better at the job than Mamoru was.

Just watched the raw of 05. Mamoru has been bulked up considerably, and it's nice to have the first half focus on last season's crew more than the current guys.

That and it's good to see Iyu and Chihiro's teamwork has improved, with whatever Chihiro told Iyu during the fight.

I gotta say, Episode 5 has got to be the goriest yet. The Rose Amazon was such a maniac, cutting up exterminators like they were nothing (most were decapitated with the blood sprinkler effect and even heads were rolling).

Mamoru is much stronger now with his new power.

Rose Amazon is insane he slash up all the exterminators in no time. So many body parts throwing all over the place. He a very interesting Amazon his girlfriend was a human and not an Amazon hmm.

The team work between Neo and Crow is getting better.

The ending with all four Amazons of Neo, Crow, Omega, and Mole damn.

Next ep Mole and Omega fight Neo and Crow get hurt badly and we finally see a clip of Amazon Alpha returning.

Wow! What a big episode! The original Amazons are really complicating things in a number of ways, Mamoru is back, Nagase is definitely gonna be a problem, Haruka is a wild card, we get an abattior beauty shop, human / Amazon relationships gone "EEEEWW" and IT'S RAININ' MEN('S BODY PARTS)! Best episode so far!

Damn this was a really good episode. You can tell Mamoru got more powerful because he fully transformed without ripping his clothes off. And the Amazon was a rose guy who when transformed kept his pants on which made me question what some of his body parts may look like now. I mean the woman knew he was a creature that eats humans so it has to make you wonder why she would stick with him and even bring him food. Also apparently scissors beats gun, who knew?

Through the later half of the episode 5, I am deeply worried about the dog. I hope it survive.

Looks like we're out of the slow introduction and now getting into the plot now. Haruka is going to to be conflicted by the fact that he wants to protect Mamoru and the normal Amazons that just want to live in peace, but at the same time his friend wants to start a war with the humans by turning them into Amazons, which even though Haruka has embraced the Amazon part of him, he doesn't want humanity to die.
Things are starting to get interesting and really good again. Funny that they called the dog Baron.

Well, Mamoru got smarter over the time-skip. With +50 to his cynical stat, though warranted.

Really want to see Jin right now, if only for him to give Haruka shit for protecting Mamoru, and to see how mole boy fairs against blind Wild-type now...

The gore with the Rose Amazon was probably the first time I really felt that it was just unnecessary. Crazy amount of head chopping there. And the totally human girlfriend doing it for him also was super messed up.

THE GUILLOTINE!!!!!

I did not see that part coming at all. This was probably the craziest episode of Amazons because of all the decapitations and dismemberment. The heads and limbs flying all over the place. The ending looked cool with Haruka & Mamoru vs Chihiro & Iyu. Still no Jin though.

That part is made even more terrifying when you learn that early Guillotine's couldn't cut through a person's neck the first time and often took multiple tries. I liked how berserk her boyfriend went when he saw they killed her though. It was awesome seeing him rip them in half so cleanly, so easily.

So from what I've seen of Gundam Seed Destiny, this is basically that in Rider form.

I'm pretty much in the same boat - I blew up my desktop about a month ago and now am using a cheapie G-Pad I bought three years ago for 10usd. Better than nothing, but I have to go to my studio to watch my tokuuuus!

Finally starting to catch up now that the busy season at work is over.

Episode 17: I'm not sure if Iyu and Chihiro's "date" was uncomfortably creepy or so creepy that it came back around and was kind of awesome. Likewise, I'm not entirely sure what to make of the incredibly uncomfortable romance the show seems to be developing here. It's either hilariously creepy or deeply unsettling and I can't quite decide which is the case.

In any event, it's nice seeing the old team from season 1 back in action again. I'm glad someone realized that it made no sense for the one-armed guy to be using a pump action shotgun and gave him a proper automatic weapon. Also, nice to see that the girl is still a complete asshole. I really hope I remember their names at some point.

Finally, Chihiro got Riderman's Rope Arm this episode and it was amazing.

Episode 6 of season 2 was alright. The fight in the beginning was a let down. I thought it would be much cooler. It's nice to see Haruka back with the team. The takedown with Omega and Neo was really cool. I'm really curious what Chihiro really is after his eyes turned blue and those blue amazon veins grew. I'm just glad we finally got a first look at Jin. I can't wait to see how he interacts with Chihiro.

Does the first season end on some massive cliffhanger? I'm curious to check it out, but frankly I don't feel like committing to another ongoing show, so I thought of just watching the first season just to check it out.

Season 1 pretty much has an open end otherwise imo but I haven't seen Season 2 yet so eh

I find Jin walking in the rain with a cloak while Die Set Down playing in the background really cool.

Episode 6 - FINALLY things get interesting (complicated!). Yeah, opening fight was hella weak sauce, but this was made up for by the battle with the Rose Amazon. The ending revelation has the questions bursting!!

Ok so, I was super curious as to what happened with the ending
and according to a reddit user:

Chihiro is related to the originator of the new Amazon outbreak, and like most theories say, it is Nanaha. Maybe a human bearing a Amazon child gave birth to this new virus

However, I do not know if the user is merely theorizing or knows japanese.
