I haven't seen enough of Lupin to say. Caught it once or twice on Adult Swim back in the day, but I think that's about it. |

There's nothing even remotely toku related about it though. Lupin III's a show about thieves who travel the world but it serves as a pretty good character show. Also it's got a really funky opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvaosZlQqrY |
The more you know.

Yep mhmm yeah.
I'm ready |
That looks a lot better than I feared tbh
|
I'll gladly take goofy suit gags over obnoxious side characters, for sure. That's not to say we won't inevitably get both, though. :p
Is that still Takaiwa in the Level 1 suit? |
....I wonder if it will be that goofy in-series
|
Can somebody clear something up for me please?
There's no human behind Ex-Aid, right? The Level 1 form is how he normally is and we'll be seeing a heck of a lot of it when he's not out fighting in a higher form? |
What? No, assuming you aren't joking, all of the Riders in Ex-Aid have a Level 1 form. They henshin into Level 1 from their civilian forms, and then go into Level 2; although I doubt it'll be long before they start henshin-ing into Level 2 straight from their human form. Ex-Aid's real name is Emu.
|
I stopped paying attention to it for a few weeks and genuinely forgot about Emu altogether. The footage of Level 1 all over the place got me looking back into things, and was reminding me an awful lot of Robotack (in which there is no civilian form).
So I suppose the real question I was leading at is "wonder when we'll learn and actually see who's playing Emu." |
It should be sometime this month. At the very least we'll get more rumors when the movie comes out and people try to figure out the actor based on voice alone.

Is Ex-aid the worst looking rider now?

Igadevil - an English speaking fan in Japan - has seen the Ghost summer movie and provided some brief thoughts on Twitter, and talked about Ex-Aid’s cameo.
He describes Ex-Aid’s demeanor as being reminiscent of Fourze, and while he does speak his actor is left unnamed in the credits. Same happened with Ghost, so it makes sense. The sound effects and music that were used in this have a very NES feel, and there were “text overlays” when he fights. The belt is also said to have the same amount of speech as Ghost’s. He also mentions that Ex-Aid seems to blow across the Gashattoo like a cartridge before doing his Rider Kick. He also adds “the Buttobasoul medals play a part”. Source: http://gameridernews.tumblr.com/ Now if I have to take a guess about Ex-Aid's personality, He will be a brilliant doctor but a lazy slacker who love to play video games. But his personality could affect his work and I could see his character development |

Yes! I was hoping he'd blow on the Gashat before using them. We saw a glimpse of Ex-Aid in the movie spot after this week's Ghost, and the video game style special effects look pretty sharp.
|
The Ex-Aid cameo stuff is sounding pretty good. I just hope they actually keep most of that stuff for the show, since most of the cool stuff in Ghost's cameo was dropped. :(
|
Vinish's source says he managed to get an Ex-aid Eyecon. Wonder if it'll be Ghost's typical rhymes or be a preview of the Gamer Driver's voice
|
the latest preview for Ghosts' summer movie has a couple shots of Ex-Aid fighting!

Those effects scream 'video game' to me, though 2 seconds isn't enough to get my actual thoughts. Now we wait till someone uses that damn Ex-Aid Eyecon

I just realized something about Ex-Aid's cameo. He does the classic Mario Jumping pose! That alone gives me high hopes
|
The only thing is.... all references have to be very subtle other wise they'd need to get a license from the IP owners. I really want to see some shots of the villains as I hope they are based on classic video game bad guys. Oh.... just thought of something but.... what if the female lead's character is based on Princess Peach?

Since Ex-Aid has 5 Rider so far, I am really want other Rider from video games:
- Horror video game based-Rider. Maybe this Rider has grim reaper motif. - Idol Girl (ala Love Live! Aikatsu, and Idolm@ster) video game-based Rider for female Rider. - Cooking video game-based Rider. - Casino video game-based Rider. This Rider will similar to Dream Vegas Shift Car. - Chinese Martial Arts video game-based Rider. This Rider will be similar to Kamen Rider Ryugen. - Dinosaur video game-based Rider. - Detective video game-based Rider. |
Just realized: We still don't really have a good idea how Ex-Aid transforms. Normally these magazine scans show a illustration of the transformation.

Haha. Good one.

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid's debut background music (track #23) in the Kamen Rider Ghost: The 100 Eyecons & Ghost's Fated Moment.
The background music remind me to 1980s-1990s video games musics.....hmmm..thats really cool in my opinion... Maybe Ex-Aid series has many techno-styled background musics |

Someone wws naughty, and recorded audio. I like M's voice here, and the Driver sounds alright |
Music is cool, driver sounds are alright but I do wish they would stop it with the screaming and singing. Gaim was okay, Drive was great in that regard as it reduced the voices to form names only but shows like Wizard, Ghost and Ex-Aid definitely have too much going on.
The problem there is that once another Rider enters the fray or if they shorten the sounds for the action it results in a mindless mess of Driver sounds, best example is when all three Riders in Ghost transform at the same time. It sounds terrible. The videogame sounds are great though, that’s the only saving grace for me here. |
