Onion Cutting Ninjas.
...sneaky bastards. |
Oh, those scenes with Leito and his family. My heart.
But man that episode went fast! I was genuinely shocked when the credits started. Just one more to go... I can't wait! |
|
So um... I didn't think that I could feel things for Ultraman Belial of all people... but um, this Final Episode was really hype!
I was honestly worried that Geed's Final Fight with Belial would be redundant since we had a pretty big final styled fight with Belial in Episode 17. But while that was a big action set piece, this one was definitely more of an emotional climax, which was definitely enjoyable to watch. |
I thought that was a pretty amazing ending to the series. What a quality series. I know there had to be filler episodes but I sure can't think of any, I enjoyed every single episode from first to last.
some thoughts if anyone cares on the final episode: SPOILERS obviously,..but you're probably not reading this if you haven't seen episode 25, so...onwards...
All in all I think this was a tremendous series. I really enjoyed it and I think it's in my top 5 of Ultra shows for sure. I'm really looking forward to the movie. |
When they were showing the older Ultra's I was hoping for just a shot of Orb and X (for movie PR lol). Also that inner fight between Belial and Riku where he sees Belial's original form and what happened to him to make him this way was great.
Although I don't understand the part where he exorcised the Reyblood out of Belial, is it just to show Riku's Belial's true Ultraman form? |
(I think?) It was mirroring what Leiha did, showing compassion to the enemy. I think he was trying to tell/show Belial that if he let the hate go he could maybe return to being an Ultraman and stop being a monster.
of course Belial was having nothing to do with that. It was interesting to me that both Riku and Leiha showed compassion like that. |
This final episode is basically a Holiday gift from Tsuburaya pretty much. Kudos to Tsuburaya for making this show awesome and I hope the next Orb show is as good as this as well. But seriously though that last henshin scene KaijuUltraFan is talking about is THE BEST.
|
This finale was amazing. Like, you get some awesome fighting scenes from both Laiha and Geed, summoning all of the alternate forms was great, but the ending was the absolute best.
Riku seeing what happened to Belial and in his mind separating the Alien Rayblood from the Ultraman that was once his father is so epic. Doing that for real would've been a bit too corny, but letting this happen through Riku as a metaphor for how he understands and forgives Belial was fantastic. A great finale for a great show, Geed is my favorite of the new-age Ultraman shows so far, I cannot wait to see what they come up with next year! |
How is this even a toy show? What a series. All the same scenes and items mentioned by everyone above is how I felt watching this. Just....superb. Can't wait for the next, and watching series in reverse. I got done with Orb and was also really happy too.
|
So apparently Geed wasn't in Ultra Fight Orb. It was actually just Belial? That was weird.
A fine ending to a fine show. You done good, Tsuburaya. |
Well now that I've gotten around to watching the finale subbed I suppose there's no excuse for me to not share my thoughts on it and Geed as a whole already.
Even with the extra time to think I'm still a little dumbfounded as to how to truly get everything I want to across, so I'll just keep it brief. I supremely enjoyed the episode, and while it probably wouldn't quite crack my list of favorite finales (if only because my expectations were set so unreasonably high), it was still about as perfect an ending as you could ask for. The final scene before the ending theme kicks in especially was THE way to tie a bow on Riku's character arc. In case I haven't made it abundantly clear at this point, I like Geed a lot. Ultraman has been absolutely on fire since X and somehow Geed might still be my favorite of the recent shows. It's everything I could ever want in a series and then some. After a hat trick like this I'm nearly certain whatever comes next can't be as good, but then, I've already been proven wrong twice. |
Since I'm not a Crunchyroll Premium member, I've had to wait painfully for the entire series to release for free. I'm super happy to hear it's a great show! I hope it can live up to it's predecessor, I loved Orb!

If they ever decide to make a new Ultraman show after Orb's sequel thingy I wonder who they will cast. So far they got some well-known actors to play the part and it seems to be working well for Tsuburaya. Cause Ishiguro who plays Gai and Hamada who plays Riku are relatively well-known actors.

It feels like a cross between Max and Dyna and Gaia. The new color pattern gives it a classic ultra look. Verdict: fabulous.
Oh snap, just realized Zero brought his crew. :lolol |
The new ultimate forms of these movies never work for me, this one continues that tradition sadly.
Still hyped to see the movie eventually, it looks awesome! |
yeah it looks to me like a weird Ultraman Max mixed w/ Geed hybrid.
Geeds primitive base form is pretty tough to beat, it just looks really good. |
|
I'm pretty excited about seeing Ultimate Force Zero again.
|
is that weapon summoning the belia fusion monsters? so it is a battle nizer?
|
Is there a timeline that I can refer to about Belial? His first appearance all the way till Geed where he plays a major role and not a cameo?
|
The Zero Trilogy, especially the first 2 movies.
part one: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...aGalaxyLegends part two: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...evengeOfBelial part three: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Film/UltramanSaga I don't believe Belial has anything to do with part three. Mostly I remember parts one and two which have a lot to do with Zero and Belial. Three is like a ..stand alone story,..kind of. |

+1, I did forget about those
|
those are what actually made me watch ultraman again and alert me to the subs that had been going on. I hadn't realized people were subbing them -id seen small projects that barely made head way and then ended 14 episodes or so in. Its like that with a lot of stuff more and more is getting subbed these days.
Now if only someone will do b fighter |
If Geed ever gets an Ultra Fight series, I hope this is one of the forms that show up.

that form without the two giant side horns would be amazing,..and my favorite form.
As it is I still like his base form best. What a great show that was. *sigh*.....I miss Moa. |

no i mean that the series designs are better i hate to say it but most of the orb ones i saw were not too different these ones get some fairly different design esthetics
