Excellent, goddamn... they keep hitting it out the park
|
I have a feeling this one is gonna be the best one yet. My ranking of all the main rider kits so far are:
1. Den-O - all around excellent, easy to paint, great accessories, plat form option, highly moddable. 2. Hibiki - beautiful plastic, solid construction, looks okay without paint 3. Decade - Great accessories, fun build, proportions feel a little off, some bad stickers. 4. Kuuga - Clean simple build, I wish the red was better, even if you've never painted a figure before, please consider painting the red gems on Kuuga's hardware! 5 - Ryuki - Slightly off shoulder mold, too many unavoidable stickers, Dragreder was nice, but not for me. Eyes are barely visible through visor. 6. W - Great implementation of splitting, but that green plastic is unbearable! Black panel liner goes a long way here. 7. Kabuto - really great proportions and accessories. Paint helps a lot, but stickers are adequate. 8. Faiz - Bonus points because the SHF is so old and outdated. Sticker heavy, but some of the stickers are better than paint. 9. Ex-Aid - Great build but tons of stickers and still requires some uncommon paint for belt and hands. 10. Zi-O - articulation is very limited. Missing some big color separation (the neck in particular), stickers don't match well/are too flat. 11. Build - Joints are loose, stickers don't blend in well or stick well. But it's the one that started it all! Go Build! So you can clearly see how I put the later ones at the top- the Figure-Rise Standard line just gets better and better. |

Looks absolutely amazing

so, Bandai just announced an Ultraman x Chinese Heroes model kits, including Sun Wokong Zero, Guan Yu Titas, and Nezha Ginga, it's an entry grade and not frs unfortunately. (src : Instagram @gunpanerd)
if the ultraman model kits works well... we can possibly get frs Ultraman, nice, pls Bandai |

I wonder how all of the EG figures for most franchises are barely articulated plastic shells, while the ones for Gundam are fully articulated and nearly as good as High Grades.

This kit looks great.
I feel like the Belt isn’t detailed enough. How are supposed to be the round things on both sides? ( I wonder if it’s not a waste of money to both have the Figuarts and the Figure-Rise...) |

FRS is considerably cheaper and easier to get a hold of than old SHF/SS that might skyrocket in the aftermarket. The way I see it, FRS is a great fill-in for outdated SHFs or ones that are hard to come by. |
