I wonder why evil has a zipper. I can only imagine it has to do with his form change gimmick

the weapon is sick. you can pretty much make out the gimmick, too. it probably turns into a gun mode by turning the blade 180 degrees and folding the tip

his design in general makes me think of ink which is pretty neat considering the show's centered around stamps

someone else caught that the display on the driver is just side shots of evil/live's helmets, so we have a tiny idea of what live will look like.

That and I think it's because Evil is Daiji (or whoever Evil is)'s Deadman. To play along with Vice's stitches motif and Orteca's buttons. So, I think that pretty much gives a hint that the Deadman is in control of Evil and Live is the actual person.

I dig the very punk-esque look of Evil's zipped-up leather jacket with paint/ink splotches all over. The fact that the splotches are seemingly random implies the suit went through the same thing as Xross Saber, with the designers literally going around the suit and adding in the splotches themselves (although hopefully the process was less of a hassle this time around).

I don't trust that blade form/mode to survive through the whole show (then again the prop version will probably have the blade more securely connected to the handle).

As much as I like the new Rider's design, I can't help but think that his weapon looks a little awkward to use. Would have been better if they extended the back of the blade up to his forearms to balance it or something like a bladed tonfa.

Is it mostly the weapon that triggers the transformation?

yeah this is definitely off-putting. his weapon isn't far off from being the size of a dx toy - it absolutely would've worked better as a bladed tonfa. warframe's designs come to mind.

kamen rider weapons being impractical isn't a new thing, but evil's weapon really stands out. you'd break your wrist if you swung around a little saw which is pretty much what his weapon is. considering how early he'll be making his debut, I'm hoping he isn't stuck with this for the entire show.

the weapon is pretty much just a really shitty bayonet - which is a damn shame because an actual bayonet would make for a really sick kamen rider weapon.

I could buy this. this show has so many rider candidates as it is - it would only make sense for evil to be someone associated with our current cast in some capacity.

I know someone was thinking Ghost for Evil Bat Genome's motif earlier, but maybe it could be Blade? I mean the whole faceplate does resemble Blade as well as Ghost so either way it's all good.

There is no rider that's linked to the Bat Vistamp other than Evil himself. It's the same case as Revi's Rex Vistamp. Dunno why I keep seeing this idea in a lot of places, it's his base form. It'd be extremely odd if a rider's identity is based on another rider's.
