Just for cinsistency, shouldn't Duke and Shin Zangetsu switch places? Have three Lemons in a row and have both Zangetsus together.

I feel "You have to go through three lemons to get one melon" should be a saying about buying cars :p

Except Shin Zangetsu is an upgrade for Ryugen, like Baron lemon and Jinba Gaim. Duke would break the pattern.

As Orson Welles once famously said "It's not the fruit armour that matters, it's the evolution of a character's powers."

He was also an upgrade for Zangetsu.

And I'm pretty sure Welles only ever dealt with vegetables.

True, but Zangetsu wasn't one of the main three, and ShinZ was not a "favourable" form, belonging to Takatora when he was an adversary of Gaim, then being used by Ryugen strictly against Gaim until it ceased being used. Plain Zangetsu was definied completely by itself and was the form Takatora used when he was "good." It makes more sense to place Shin behind Ryugen and use plain Zangetsu as his own character.

He was fat, though. Pretty sure veggies weren't his priority.

I didn't say he ate them. I mean unless you're counting whatever was on the planets he consumed, but I think the nutritional value from a salad bar in relation to a whole goddamn planet is negligible.

I feel like that is slightly debatable. I mean, Shin Zangetsu was meant to be an upgrade for Zangetsu, Ryugen just happened to steal it away and impersonate Takatora. In my eyes, Ryugens upgrade is Ryugen Yomi since it maintains the base body. But I'm not one to say what is right or wrong since there is no absolute right answer.

I just explained in-depth why for those figures it makes sense why ShinZ is behind Ryugen. Obviously Yomi Ryugen is the true upgrade, ShinZ is just an upgrade. Or an alt form.

IMO, Zangetsu Shin is just as much a Ryugen upgrade as it is a Zangetsu upgrade. I feel like Mitsuzane had that suit almost as long as Takatora did.

This whole Zangetsu/Ryugen upgrade conversation makes me way too happy because it validates the time I've spent thinking about it.

(All I know is that I'm super-grumpy that Bandai made Shin Zangetsu a web exclusive given the armor's prominence in the show.)

Finally got the duo together! So glad they released these guys again. Sure as heck wasn't gona spend the big bucks on Rider 2. Now I got him for a normal, reasonable price! And heck, I got the two pack of Ichigo and the Cyclone for the heck of it. I didn't have Ichigo with the silver gloves and boots yet, and I figured I oughta get at least ONE cycle.
