I could see Sentai scaling back to doing like Ultraman does; having a season for half a year and hence having a half a year break in between. I think that's a lot more likely than shelving Sentai outright since it is still profitable at the end of the day.

Either way I wouldn't give it much mind for now.

If things do scale back for Sentai, there will probably be even more CGI than before.

But yeah, highly unlikely that Sentai gets straight up cancelled.

well i could see why the new Super Sentai 2022 trademark for next year isn't out yet the thing is because there's changes going on i think they going to do the Super Sentai 2022 reveal with out trademark is the name title and images to the official announcement on public social network, so Toei avoids leaks and rumors.

You don't really 'reveal' a trademark, it's just they get discovered. When you register them it's always on a public database of sorts

The thing is, Toei has trademarked the next Super Sentai in mid to late September for years now and I think the latest it's ever been noticed was in early October. There's a bot on Twitter that automatically uploads tweets when new trademarks are publicly filed in Japan. So if Toei had trademarked next year's Sentai, it would have been revealed by now.

It's now October 15th in Japan and we still haven't heard anything about it. And since we've known that Zenkaiger is going to be 44-45 episodes for a while now, that means it's set to end in late January. The next Sentai usually starts filming in late November or early December, so we will almost certainly know more about next year's Sentai (if there is one) well before January.

I was think, Fiveman try use he's prior 80's Sentai elements and almost sink the whole franchise, what if happen the same happen with the 2022 Sentai ?

Maybe they'll do something like the Strongest Battle to stall it out till 46. They probably want to keep their toylines debuting in March

The latest that a Sentai trademark has been revealed is 10/22 (Ninninger), and 2022's title could be revealed anytime between now and December without effecting any releases. The most likely scenario is that they're running into issues with the title being too similar to another company's trademark.

So how is Zenkaiger so far? I've gotten pickier with Sentai over time, as it usually doesn't hold my attention once the initial excitement of a new season wears off.

I guess for starters kudos to Shirakura for gifting the world this unexpected milestone show. He had his ups and downs with riders but I think I can safely say he's got his groove back with this show. They were smart and resourceful with the characters considering COVID is still a thing, and this was the show where robots in sentai were cool again.

I do like Zenkaiger although I still have a soft spot for Kirameiger, but then I'm the person that still loved Boukenger even after Gekiranger,Shinkenger and Gokaiger!

Can't blame ya. Kiramager's strong suit was that it was VERY classic/generic super sentai. They kept things pretty basic but the thing is that it was done well that it worked out for them for people to like it in the end is in my opinion.

I like Ryu actually so far being the 4th Dino series.

Is it just me or does Kira have a bit of Magi \ Mystic Force vibe with Red Ranger being able to use his mind to create Zords and what not? I like Kira so far from the 1st 8 seen.

If in my Gokai watch, the last episode I saw was 17, Gai's introduction, would I be able to skip ahead a bit and watch the Christmas episode today, or would I be spoiling and myself on vital developments in the intervening 26 episodes? This season's been pretty much entirely episodic besides Basco and Gai's end of first quarter/beginning of second quarter introductions, and I'm not sure if it goes back to being essentially episodic, or if it stays more serialized

Speaking of Christmas, what are your favorite Christmas episodes from Super Sentai? For me personally, my favorites are from Gokaiger and Gekiranger. I also really liked the ones from Kakuranger and LuPat.

Any predictions on how Zenkaiger will tie into DonBrothers?

Another World which few have looked into. The research which led to the Sentai Gears didn't immediately include DonBrothers, leading to a surprise appearance which almost nobody sees coming. One theory I have for cross-compatibility is that the DonBrothers base their gear on the Sentai Gear technology when they stumble upon it, but another theory is that the bike which combines with Zyuran is another hidden gem within the Sentai Gear research which is adapted to serve the needs of the new kids on the block.

The Zenkaigers liberate "Momoworld" and DonMomotaro pops out of a dimensional rift to help defeat the Tojitendo, after the show ends he returns to his world because there's trouble, Zenkaiser and Juran either intentionally follow him or get thrown into the mix accidentally.

There are too many good ones! Boukenger Task 43 is the one that just never dies for me but others have sprung up for me over the years that I've seen since as well, like as you said Geki and Gokai, the final scene of Timeranger Case File 44 was good with that great song Miracle Xmas, any others I can think of? Maybe Shinken,Gobus,LuPat and Megaranger if you had to have a 1999 and previous one but for some reason I can't remember the ones I've seen!

Some that were just vaguely around new year were good too like Abaranger's fight in the snow and the debut of Wolzard Fire which is my favourite Magiranger episode.

Do you think the Kiramagers will be back with more TTFC Specials, Returns Movie and a team-up movie with the Zenkaigers and the other Super Sentai Teams during the DonBrothers Era just like what the prequel spinoff Ryusoulger The Legacy Of The Master's Soul did in Zenkaiger Era? Those actors and actresses are too busy!

The US tends to alter things in Power Rangers. Not a spoiler as more a comparison. I had watched Overdrive on DVD.

Magi and Mystic Force had almost the same ending. (The wedding with Blue And Gold Rangers was cut in Mystic Force.)

I'm watching Galaxy Man - Hurri Via Shout Factory DVD next after Bouken.

I'm realizing that I've never seen a 2000s Sentai, so I'd say it's time to watch one. I've narrowed it down to Dekaranger and Gekiranger. Which do you suggest? Is there another I should consider?

Gekiranger is my personal favorite Sentai, so I'd always suggest it!

As for other 00's Sentai, Dekaranger and Hurricanger are two that I particularly enjoyed.

Hurricanger is another one I've had an eye on for a while, but...oh, how do I say this. It seems like there was a bump up in image quality around that time period. Gaoranger, for example, still looks 90s. But Dekaranger looks a lot more modern. Which side does Hurricanger fall on?

I know that's a weird criteria to base which Sentai to watch on, but since I haven't seen any 2000s sentai, I want it to really capture the look of the era.
