Episode itself was pretty good, never watched any Sailor Moon before so it was all new to me. I'm quite shocked I liked the CGI transformation sequence. It'd probably have looked better in 2D but I wasn't appalled by it like I usually am.

So Daisuki just randomly decided to pull ZZ GUNDAM of thier channel and website. I wasn't even finished damn it!

I watched SAO 2 and Aldnoah Zero, they are both up to a great start for their 1st episode, I'm looking forward to these anime for the year.

Still need to watch it... Girlfriend's not an anime fan, so just need to get some time alone.

Think they'll just be doing the Phantom Bullet Arc in SAO II? Or that they'll get to other things, like Mother's Rosario?

I'm sure Underworld will probably have to wait until SAO III...

Aldnoah Zero 1 - This was quite an interesting show to episode to watch. It was interesting, had a fresh feel to it even though it is covering an old concept, and even though the outcome was predictable, the ending was just incredible. It made me think of a very specific Macross episode. Overall, I am intrigued and cannot wait to check out the next one.

Sailor Moon Crystal 1 - As expect, this was fantastic. The animation was beautiful and I liked how it stuck true to the manga. I'm liking the new voices but I'm not entirely sold on Usagi's voice. I know it was what fans wanted, but she is just too old to do the voice. It was not bad, and she can still pull off the crying quite well, but it would have been better to have a younger voice for her.

Yea I agree with usagi she sounded fine doing the in the name of the moon line but the rest just sound out if place. Also this means the first 5 ep should be the finding the scouts arc as I call it

Going based off the trailer they do head back into ALO. So I'm assuming their pulling a season 1 how they did with the first half being Anicrad and the other Fairy Dance.

So I'm only going to assume that the first half of season 2 is Phantom Bullet, and the rest is Mother Rosario and Early & Late arcs.

I think it's a most definitive we will get into Mother Rosario if not in this season then maybe the next because the creators talked about how they would love to get into the Mother Rosario arc at a panel last year.

Oh that's awesome. I really, really liked it. Probably the most powerful one so far. They'd be remiss to skip it.

the first episode was mostly set up, but I liked how they seem to be doing a realistic approach. The outcome of the visit was predtiable, but I enjoyed what I saw of it. I gotta see more before I decide if I really like it or not.

Well, like Aldnoah.Zero, Shriogane starts off pretty slowly but picks up in the last half or so. I can't say too much about it, since it is just the first episode.

I will say this though: the main mech's design kicks ass, the other mechs kinda remind me of Mech Warrior in how they're designed and move.

I love it when an anime shows it's protagonists just goofing off.

Not completely accurate. EPisodes 2 and 3 should be Mercury and Mars, but then they battle Jaedite next and then in chapter 5 Jupiter comes in to play. Venus shows up in Chapter 8 of the manga, so she shouldn't be until Episode 8 at the earliest. This all depends though on how much filler they put into these episodes though as they might not rush it since they are stretching this arc out for 26 episodes.

To be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that it is written by Gen Urobuchi (Gaim and Psycho Pass), I probably wouldn't have checked out the first episode.

Little late to the party as I wasn't feeling all that well yesterday but I watched the first episode of Aldnoah.Zero today.

The art direction was great which I think was the saving grace of the episode, as the story itself was clichéd and exposition heavy. And I get this is only the first episode, so exposition and stuff is to be expected to some extent but this episode really piles it on. The last five or so minutes are when the show really starts but I'd say it has potential.

Ah right I was going by info on,ine cause I can't find good online site that has the new version if the manga. Only the old horrible Tokyo pop versions

So the new Captain Earth OP has naturally spoiled a whole lot of stuff that's coming in future episodes.

Will be nice to finally see some more mecha action though.

Finally got around to the first episodes of SAO II and Aldnoah.Zero today.

I wasn't that impressed with the first season of SAO but figured what the hell, I'll give part 2 a shot. It was a decent setup episode, the new game seems like it'll be a nice change of pace from the past two fantasy MMO themes. Overall not bad, I just hope it ends up improving over the first two seasons.

Aldnoah.Zero was pretty good, although not very exciting until the end. Not much else to say really, seems like it's off to a decent start.

Decided to check out the first episode of "Rail Wars!". I had no idea Japan's railways were privatised or what that really means but I've heard some good things about the opening episode so I decided to give it a go.

The episode moves at a good pace, and I learnt more about trains watching this than I have done ever riding them or watching other train relating shows. Honestly if the show took itself a little more seriously, I think storywise it could be pretty good.

Sadly everything else about the episode was kind of awful, I don't care much for fanservice anyway but this is especially true when an anime looks this cheap. Sakurai has a nice character design I suppose but meh, this is one saggy breasted ugly show.

I'll probably give it another episode but Aldnoah.Zero offered more and I didn't care much for that either.

I liked it. I´m a pretty big Urobutchi fan and this one has his fingerprints all over it :lol
The Show looks just great and I´m very intrested in the actual worl presented in the show. The Episode as is had far too much exposition but given where the episode end its not surprising. The overall episode was very predictable but damn those closing seconds completely got me hooked. My jaw literally dropped on the floor when the first ship landet in New Orleans and completely destroyed everything around it

I´m definitely hooked and cant wait to see the next episode.

Fricking Akame Ga Kill it was everything I had hoped fo. It was great seeing my favorite manga being animated.

I just realize some thing viz media approve of ichiruki shipping due to the fact Johnny young bosh English voice of ichigo will be voicing Artemis while rukia vocie actor voicing Luna

But I dug what I saw. The animation is great and it has a fantastic sense of humor. Its very violent but I guess it suits the material. its just so harsh since the rest of the show is actually kinda light hearted...well..except for the thing at the end.

I will surely keep watching it for now.


DRAMAtical Murder -01

Man what a boring show. There is really not much I can say about it. I dont like the designs, the characters were pretty boring and the premise sounds better on paper than it actually was in the actual series.

I maybe check out the next episode but for now its a pass.

Just watched the first episode of Akame Ga Kill myself and my God was it GREAT! Brutal, twisty and downright hilarious I was rewarded with probably the best of the three summer shows I've checked out so far.

I now know why I didnt care for that anime....its freaking Boys Love! :lol

There were hints of it in the episode so I should have caugh on to that sooner :lol

If your into mangas you should really check out the akame ga kill manga.... The humor is well don't and put, but for the most part it's a pretty dark and saddistic story. The anime looks like it's following close to the manga too since just by going off the 1st episode it was pretty much an exact match.

I´m not a big manga guy so I´m sticking to the show for now :)

Gah they kept the name change from the Manga over into the anime... This will take time getting use to now.

Saw episode 188 of Fairy Tail on Saturday it was AWESOME.

Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen - 01

That was an alright start. The Show has the typical mecha anime premise of two nations going to war with giant robots and one young soldier piloting this new unknown super robot. The Characters are not spectacular but they are likeable. The Robot has a neat design and the action is also nice to look at. My big gripe is that its another one of those shows were the robots are cg...I dont like that.

But the show has potential so I will check out the next episode.


I also checked out the first five Episodes of Captain Earth and I like that show so far. It doesnt reinvent the wheel and the characters or plot are not super mega deep but I enjoy it. The animation is fantastic and I really dig the designs in this show.

Watched the first episode of Akame ga Kill. I really enjoyed it, even though I had no idea what it was about or what to expect. Of the several first episodes I watched of new series this week, this was definitely the best one. Unlike the others, this didn't just feel like a set up episode and some interesting events and action actually happened. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.

I also finished Gurren Lagann, and for all of my disappointment with it in the beginning, I really ended up liking it quite a bit. The time skip was when I really started enjoying it most of all, especially the last five or so episodes. I'm glad I gave this show a chance after my initial impressions, I definitely see now why so many people like it so much.

Ok I just learned through watch cartoon online that toradora one of my all time faverite light novel anime adaptation got a English dub now
