Zeta Gundam: New Translation: Heir to the Stars

I just rewatched this movie since I was bored.

After watching Zeta Gundam, I notice a lot of things when watching this movie. Like the spots where they put in new footage to speed along the plot (Franklin Bidan, getting the Hyaku Shiki, e.t.c.) It also took me awhile to get used to the characters' voices again. I swear in the first half hour of the movie, Quattro sounds really old. Although I do think Kamille's voice matches him a bit better in this as he's supposed be be 17 but he sounded like he was 14 or 15 in the show.

The movie has really terrible pacing. It speeds along and it it doesn't give you time to process anything. Even after having this movie once before and Zeta Gundam proper, there's spots in the movie where I am still lost, like the battle between the Argama and that Titans ship and Franklin is.

The art and animation is beautiful. After seeing Zeta Gundam, I appreciate that older style of animation a lot more. I actually got confused at some points thinking the Zeta footage was new footage because they cleaned it up so well. And the new animation is beautiful, it perfectly fits in with Zeta's style and adds a ton of detail to everything. But, if there's one problem with the entire movie is that there's a lot of fucking grain. Even on the new animated sequences there's a fair amount. I don't know why that is but its annoying and distracts from the beautiful art.

I don't remember Rosamia having that much focus when that fight happened in the show.

I think I learned nothing about Kamille in this movie. I know he's a very animeish protagonist because he screams when he fights but that's it.

Nope, there was no need since it was shown in theaters here.

Zeta Gundam: NT:Lovers

This movie had a bit better pacing but that might be due to the show not having too much in the middle to rush through. The Zeta looks so beautiful in the new animation.

I realized these compilation movies are the summer action blockbuster version of Gundam while the shows are deep commentaries on war and people. I'm not saying these movies are bad but that them and the shows they come from are completely different animals.

Yeahhh that doesn't mean anything to me.

Never even knew that. Doubt the limited release it saw was even in anywhere near me at the time.

So my question stands. I'll even throw in "or dubbed" and "official or otherwise" options. Just want to watch it online.

I had a quick browse for torrents and couldn't see any English fansubs, so its possible no one's done it yet. I don't follow T&B that much so I have no idea when its official US release is, but I'm assuming most streams will be relying on fansubs for now.

The film just came out on DVD in Japan not too long ago. Gonna be a little while longer until a group subs it.

It was July 4 I believe... guess I'm just too used to how fast episodes of a show get fan subbed and ignored that this was a longer movie. Bit impatient in that regard. :lol

Gatchaman Crowds...I'm 2 episodes in so far. I like it so far. I really like this show's art style, and Hajime is tons of fun.

Me and couple friends of mine marathoned the first half of the Ghost Stories dub... it was glorious! :lol

Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen - 02

The show continues to be an alright Military style mecha anime. The Characters are likeable enough to not annoy me. The Story is not very present at the moment since the show continues to build its basic conflict.

The Action was a little better than last time but I still dont like those CG animated robot scenes.


Psycho-Pass New Edit Version - 01

So after hearing so many people go crazy over this show and it being written by one of my favorite writers I decided to check it out myself.

And holy crap this show is great. Its a classic Sci-Fi Crime Thriller that could have been very well be one of Philip K Dicks works. The dystopian future presented is very well realized. The Idea presented in the show is nothing new but its executed very well. After the first Episode I got a really good grasp on how this world works and I cant wait to see more stories play out in it.

It's funny that you mention that... one of the characters actually talks about Dick and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep in one of the episodes.

Tokyo ESP - 01

Sooooo when do Xavier and the rest of the gang show up? :lol

Seriously though this was pretty much japanese X-Men and pretty good japanese X-Men at that. It was certainly alot better than the actual X-Men anime we got a few years ago.

There is not much I can say about the episode beyond that though. We got to see some nice characters, alot of cool Mutant I mean "Esper" abilities and really cool action scenes.

I will surely watch the next episode :D

I was told both Tokyo ESP and Terrorist something or other was pretty good.

Blue Exorcist Episode 20: FINALLY Rin shows he DOES have control over his flames, and it took him only almost the entire damn show to prove it :lol. Honestly the whole thing with Igor Neuhaus' wife being the "man in the mask" was kinda weird in my opinion, and I'm already seeing this show stray from the original source material but sometimes anime don't have to follow the source material to please their MAIN audience, hell Angel Beats didn't have a source material & people LOVED it. 20 episodes in we get introduced to Rin & Yukio's grandfather, NOT surprised.

Aldnoah Zero - 02

It was really nice to see the conflict that started last time play out in this episode. I´m liking how the show aproaches the whole thing in a very realistic manor without straying away from its high concept sci-fi roots.
Normally I´m not a fan of shows were the mechs are cg but it works in this one. The whole show looks pretty awesome and that chase scene was pretty impressive.

And now I really wanna see how the next episode is going to play out :lol

Anyone here watched a movie called The Girl Who Leapt Through Time? I've been meaning to see what it's about. How is it?

It's really good. You should watch it. If you liked the animation from Summer Wars or Digimon: Our War Game then you'll definitely like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

I'll add it to my list of movies i need to watch someday.

Gatchaman Crowds episode 3:

It was pretty good, there was some good world building here, and Rui's a dude?!? *insert obligatory Admiral Ackbar clip here* I just wish there was more Gatchaman action...I don't think it'd bother me as much if the show wasn't a short as it is.

You shouldn't have made a deal with the devil, kid. Oh God why did it have to be Mamoru Miyano?!? So, the main villain is Mamoru Miyano doing his Takuto (dude in my sig) voice, but a billion times more insane, and he's also basically Nyarlethortep from Persona 2 in terms of goals and motives.

I mean...it was pretty good, it moved the plot forward and stuff, but I REALLY wish there was more action.

I also just found out that Hajime's voice actress also played Aoi-tan in Akibaranger. :lol

Not just Aoi, she's Hakase too :D

Rumors are currently floating as of now, the release date was post to be a Aprils Fools way back when. We'll have to wait and see if it really is coming out on July 26th, since. Plus.... I see no reason why it would come out this year seeing as the Recap/remaster Movies are due out later this year and early in 2015.
