(I still think the recap movies are freaking stupid though and time shouldn't be getting wasted on them...) |

I'm pretty sure the fact that it was not listed on any of the official summer season listings proves AoT is not airing this soon. They haven't even finished the arc that started where the anime left off yet in Japan, so why would they already start the anime of it?

Akame Ga Kill! - 02
Still a very fun show. The Character are all pretty funy and likeable. Loving their different personalities and character quirks. The comedy in the show is still working for me and works even better since the action is so extremely gorey :lol |

EDIT: Gatchaman Crowds episode 7: Agh! I can't take this! Hearing Mamoru Miyano do an insane Takuto makes me really uncomfortable! Also, Berg-Katse makes me uncomfortable as a villain, like I feel like everything's going to go to crap whenever he shows up, and man...it did. Poor Joe got his NOTE forcefully ripped out of his suit. I really hope Berg-Katse gets what's coming to him sooner rather than later. |
Okay to sum up Aldnoah.Zero: The main character IS LITERALLY A POTATO, like he has ZERO personality and reacts to LITERALLY NOTHING. The plot is literally recycled from Turn A gundam, Macross, hell someone said this is pretty much a less kiddie version of gundam age, and that is kind of accurate. the animation is jilted because they try to mix cg with 2d and it looks bad, mecha designs are bland because of the cgi looks terrible. This is probably one of the WORST mecha series I have ever seen and the fact it was created by Gen Urobuchi is literally jaw dropping it would end up this bad. DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW

I am watching right now Silver Spoon, and I like it very much. It came as surprise for me that the author of silver spoon is the one who did Full metal alchemist tooXD

Anyway I just finished Gatchaman Crowds...I wish they hadn't left the ending that open-ended. Like O.D...is he dead? because they just show him bleeding, then falling over, but they make no mention of him dying in the tag. Also, why is it that Hajime still can't see Berg-Katze? Speaking of which, the fight between O.D and Katze was cool in the beginning, but I was disappointed with how fast it went by, especially with how much build up it had. As for the series as a whole...I LOVE this show's art style everything is bright and colorful, and it just looks gorgeous, and the animation is pretty good as well, the suit designs remind me of Tiger & Bunny. The voice acting is very good as well. The standout performance definitely being Mamoru Miyano as Berg-Katze...the voice being just insane Takuto still makes me uncomfortable, but darn it if Mamoru Miyano isn't an amazing voice actor! The characters are quite a bit of fun as well...I LOVE Hajime, the best way I can describe her is a female Gentarou, but she doesn't hit you over the head with friendship. Onto some of the show's negatives...like I said I wish the ending wasn't as open ended, especially since I don't see a season 2 coming anytime soon. I was also disappointed with how little Gatchaman in-suit action there was. I think Hajime only ever transformed like 3 times throughout the entire series. If I had to pick a least favorite character, it'd probably be Joe...I found him to be a bit dull, but that could just be because you have the big wonderful ball of energy that is Hajime. Another negative I have is the length of this series. 12 episodes is really short, and I feel if it were in the 24-ish range it would probably have benefitted the show at least in the character development department...not that these characters don't develop, they all do, save for Hajime, but I feel like Joe's character arc would feel as rushed if this series were longer. I think it would help flesh out the backstories of the other Gatchaman as well. I would love to see more of what happened in Joe, O.D., Paiman, Sugane, Utsutsu, and heck even Hajime's past. I think it also would have helped the show have more action. It's such a shame there wasn't more. It looks like a lot of work was put into those CG models they use for the suits. One thing I found really weird was how Rui still disguised himself as a girl at the end, even though he had revealed his true identity to the whole city via the Gatchannel. Like, did the animators REALLY like him when he was dressed as a gothic Lolita that much? So I'm of two minds about this series, on one hand it was very enjoyable, but on the other I do wish they did more with it. If I had to rate this series on a scale of 1 to 10...I'd probably give it a 7 or an 8. |

Finally, I caught up in Fairy Tail 2014. Absolutely loving it. Natsu, as always, is being amazing as hell!

this is coming from a man who REALLY knows his mecha, seriously, there is nothing original about this show whatsoever It is bad |
Considering I don't watch anything Gundam save for G and Build Fighters, I'm enjoying Aldnoah.Zero very much so far.

there wasn't a single thing I liked about it, i suggest going to watch gundam instead of this |
Thing is though, I love mecha stuff. Mostly super robot-type series, but I can appreciate the more realistic takes on mecha, too. I think it's kind of a stretch to say that only people with zero experience in mecha stuff would enjoy this.
Hell, this reminds me of Valvrave the Liberator in a way, only actually not terrible. |

Watched the first episode of Tokyo Esp and I'm really confused. It uses the characters from Garei Zero and references that show, but isn't in continuity with it either? Why?
It looked like shit but the episode literally didn't take its foot off the gas once and for anime especially that is something truly special. If the show can keep up this momentum I'll be sticking for the whole ride, regardless of the quality of the animation. |

it is just a new show that attempts to clone gundam and it fails, HORRIBLY |
If you say so dude. It's only been two episodes and we still have 22-24 more to go. Let's first see how things are by episode 10 before we start saying it is doing nothing different. Given it is from the man behind Gaim and Psycho Pass, I am more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt since he is 2 for 2 with me.

Rail Wars! 2. This show just doesn't...work, that may sound weird but I dunno it's just the content is fine...but the way it's played, not so much. The dialogue is awful, and the animation worse. I think this is the end of the line for me and this show.

Man I wish Blue Exorcist was dubbed on Netflix, I don't mind subs or dub, but some times it's good to have nice in between breaks of hearing a different langauge everyday.
|
Yu-Gi-Oh! Bonds Beyond Time - I got the BD released today since it included the original Japanese version subtitled. ON the positive side, the subtitles are actual subtitles and not dubtitles. Unfortunately, they use the freaking English names for the cards instead of the names being spoken, which is very distracting. I was getting really annoyed at hearing Sin but seeing Malefic in the subs. At least the character names are correct.
Also, I do not understand why, but the audio is only in 2.0 even though the Japanese BD was in 5.1. That was also annoying. Aside from that though, the video looked gorgeous and the music is fantastic. The plot of the movie is what you would expect from a non-canonical anime movie, but it is just that, non-canonical and meant to act as just a nice anniversary feature. It is great seeing Atem and Yugi back with all of the god mode card rules and at least Judai did not have the chance to be a whiner. Overall, it was worth supporting something in the US with the Japanese version intact and I hope it sells well enough to warrant the other series getting uncut bilingual releases. I give the movie a 6/10 as it really is only for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. |

Akame Ga Kill 02 - the scene of Bulat under his armour, what on earth? :lol
This episode felt a lot slower and more exposition heavy than the first but it was necessary I felt. The animation was kinda spotty too but the show still shifts gears well so I'll be checking out another episode. |

Finally getting around to watching Aldnoah Zero episode 2.
I'll agree that there really isn't anything original to this series, at least not yet. We have Earth VS Martians from Gundam AGE, a tone that reminds me of Attack on Titan, and oh yeah the Bumblebee pick up truck scene from the first Bay movie. At the same time though, I'm kind of enjoying it, the mechs look neat and I like that they're taking a very realistic approach to this whole war thing. It isn't flawless, Inaho is as interesting as a potatoe, and it does try a little too hard, but I don't see anything that makes me wanna completely write this series off. |
Finally, I watched Akame ga Kill Episode 2:
Episode #2: I found the animation of this episode to be generic and sloppy-ish to me, but otherwise, that was the only problem with the episode to me. Anyways, I liked how Leone introduced Tatsumi to the other members of Night Raid. Another thing I liked about this episode was the superb fight scene between Tatsumi vs Ogre. I was glad when Tatsumi put that scumbag in his place. I really I have high hopes for this anime and it can see that it has lots of potential, like SAO II. |
