I can't believe my family sometimes. I told them I wasn't joining them for dinner because I already ate with my boss and co workers. So there they went ahead and ate dinner while I'm at my room watching anime.

Then about three hours later, my mom told me there's some cake at the table which I then ate. Then when I was about to wash my plate I saw the pile of used plates and silverware from dinnertime on the kitchen sink.

Those guys actually waited for me to have a snack just so someone would wash the dishes for them!

Oof. That sucks. You guys don't have a dishwasher or something? Or perhaps a rule stating that those who eat must wash their dishes? But yeah, sorry you had to go through that.

My gender therapy went out great today. My therapist said that I fit the criteria for gender dysphoria and she would write a diagnosis of gender dysphoria to a doctor soon. I may start HRT in December or January.

Okay so I've been working and stuff lately. My never ending room cleaning is still ongoing. I'm trying to sell off my cards again, might have to catalog and spreadsheet em if I want to sell em though, or at least do that for the mtg cards. I got some more glyos stuff which I kind of have buyer's remorse over, but I'll keep em for the time being. I'm hopefully going to be starting a Pokemon Tabletop United game, and either a Starfinder or Stars Without Number campaign soon, so those are pretty exciting.

Not sure what else I have to say atm. How are you all doing? anything going on in your lives you want to chat about?

Oh uh I do actually. My necrom eyecon is stuck making the ghost driver sound. I'm unsure how to fix it myself without breaking the sticker.

You probably will have to break the sticker to get to the screws. If it wasnt always like this, its probably a switch that tell it what driver its used in that got stuck, which resulted in the looping.

Yesterday, someone half-jokingly challenged me to write up a one-shot involving a "What If" scenario for Samurai Troopers.

Well I did (in an hour no less), and it wasn't until I was done and posted it that I'd realized I'd made the character in question go full Godai.

I think the original was co-produced by canada, it listed some canadian studios i believe. The new one looks to be a western animation production tho.

Animation to me is animation to me. I won't deny that I have a bias towards Japanese animation but in my eyes it doesn't matter what part of the world they're produced in. As long as they have a good story I'm all game.

Anyways, I 1000% agree with Gashatfreak. I'm sorry, but Western animation hasn't exactly caught my interest, both in looks and story, though I'll be honest, I don't even pay attention to many of them anymore. Even the big animation works don't grab me, and that is a bit disappointing.

Then again, I watched old cartoons in my youth, so I'd like to think I have good taste in "funny" animation. About the only recent animated series I love is LEGO Monkie Kid, which I still need to get back to.

Never heard of it until now. I just saw the trailer, and while it looks okay (not great, but okay) the voice acting is...interesting.

EDIT: I should probably watch the show before making any other judgments. But considering how I'm not into the magical girl genre, whether I will or not is up in the air.

Speaking of stuff I'm into, I'm currently into fantasy that doesn't spam magic like Gundam SEED spams beams. Anyone know any good cartoon that falls under this category? I'm thinking of checking out Dragon Prince.

I have work in the morning but I accidentally ended up staying up all night marathoning Squid Game, because I make poor decisions in life that only serves to torture future me.

Rising of a Shield Hero, The Cautious hero, KonoSuba, Tsukamichi, OverLord, GARO the 3 anime series, Jackie Chan Adventures, Gargoyles, Shaman King, Xiaolin Showdown ( the original series not the reboot).

Those are a few i can remember off the top of my head.

I've heard of Gargoyles, which I believe was on early mornings back in my day (wow I sounded like a grandpa there!), which explains why I never saw it. Jackie Chan Adventures and Shaolin Showdown are shows I saw when I was young, and still remember them being good, so these are good choices.

I was honestly under the impression we were talking about western animated series, but I guess Anime is another option. Which unfortunately, I can't think of any that fit the Fantasy bill you're looking for.

DC animated shows and movies since Young Justice have been good in general I think.

I'm a big fan of RWBY. I guess you could say it's similar to My Hero Academia, but in a fantasy setting, yet much more futuristic at some points. It's a 3D animated show made by Texans. It has its ups and downs but it's an ongoing show that I've been invested in for nearly a decade.

The first 3 volumes(essentially the same thing as seasons) have had a very low budget, but it was basically a work of passion by the creator, Monty. The fights are incredibly well done and a lot of the artistic choices made by Monty are no longer replicated even today. You can tell it was basically a labor of love because pretty much everything that wasn't a fight scene was...pretty low quality(for example, literally every character had the same running animation). Monty really just wanted an outlet for his incredible fight scenes. RWBY is known for its incredible music, too.

Unfortunately, Monty passed away just before Volume 3 began. While the show has gotten a massive budget since then, the fight scenes have never even been close to the same. The story is very much fantasy though - and to be frank, I still feel invested in it. The writing is questionable sometimes and some Volumes are an absolute fucking chore to watch(Volume 5 immediately comes to mind), but considering the creator barely even had a story to begin with, I believe they've done a very good job at keeping the show interesting.

Samurai Jack.

That one fantasy cartoon created by the folks behind The Simpsons. The protagonist is an alcoholic princess and her two pals are an elf dressed like Bart and a demon. The other is that 2010s anime Thundercats show starring Will Friedle as Lion-O and Togepi as Snarf.

For anyone interested, Hotwheels released a car for TOEI Spidermans Spider-Machine GP-7 at SDCC a couple years ago. It just got a retail release. Its available everywhere right now for about $5.99. So if you'd like one, i recomend Amazon. They currently have it in stock directly through Amazon so no markups. I bought 5 to get free shipping, but i think its free for one if you have prime. Hope this helps anyone.

For anyone international, it also recieved a simultaneous international release, my cousin saw them at a Lawsons in Chiba as well. So probably availible in other nations as well.
