Past Plot: Seeing Otoya as Ixa and Jiro in wolf form team up to battle Rook was pretty awesome. Even if they got their asses kicked.

Present Plot: Now this is more like it. Things were pretty suspenseful in the beginning, when it was unclear if Dai-Chan/Rook would snap again or not. I never actually thought he'd kill the girl though.

This might be the first time I take Wateru seriously as a Rider. Too bad his fights are still kinda bland. And oh boy. Nago's back. How much of a tool will he be now, I wonder. Ah well, at least his new toy is cool.

And, uh...Castle Doran ate Wateru?! He's interacting with Jiro?! That can happen?! Huh...

So what's everyone's opinions on The First and The Next movies? I just skimemd through The First (since it wasn't in English and I only know a little Japanese) but I can watch The Next in English. Those costumes are pretty stylish. Makes me want the Figuarts.

The suits are awesome but the stories are deeply, deeply flawed (add a few more "deeply"s for The Next). Like a lot of his post-Agito work, the films suffer from Toshiki Inoue reusing a bunch of his tropes while clearly wanting to be working in a different genre.

Well that's a shame. The fights are really awesome.

BTW, in the land of Wee-zord things have not gotten less retarded. God damn, I was seriously hoping to like this show, but IT'S SO DUMB. And not like, it does silly things, but every character is a mental case. No one is reasonable, no one makes a correct decision. Everyone takes basic interactions and morphs them into what only a milksop would call "comedy." It's like nemesis-Seinfeld. "You accept this job, you guard it with your life." These characters need proffesional help.

Hibiki 04: This show is weird. Interested to see where it goes, though.

I finished episodes 43 and 44 of OOO. Good episodes. Enjoyed what happened to Kasari, and glad to see Uva.

Actually you pretty much hit the nail on the head. Tendou pushed one meteor into the other thus making a smaller impact on the present. The Shibuya Impact from the first episode rather than hte monstrous desert world impact from God Speed Love. Future Tendou from GSL created the TV series timeline in doing so. And the Future Hyper Kabuto that appears in show before TV Tendou receives Hyper Zector is GSL Tendou as well.

Yeah Kuuga handles this concept so well, it's one of the best aspects of the series. They don't have the money to make the world feel fully changed by the appearance of monsters and superheroes but it certainly feels like a shift and change has actually happened and people aren't just carrying on as normal.

Actually, aren't the movies between episodes 44 and 45? At least, I recall the Fourze and W movies taking place then. OOO did not seem to matter, but then, the OOO movie was pretty lackluster anyway.

I have never watched the Hibiki, Kabuto, Kiva, or Den-O movies.

I pulled the episode placement from the KR Wiki, whose placement makes sense.

And I don't recall Kiva's movie, but Hibiki and Kabuto are AU movies (While Kabuto's movie does lead to the events of the series, it's generally still looked as AU because of the alternate timeline thing), so outside of killing a hour or to see exclusive riders in action, they're not necessary to watch or tied into the plot of the series.

Kiva's movie is so far out of continuity that's it painful to watch. It's also horrible. The new riders are entirely unnecessary , especially Rey whose actor also played Saga. But Saga wasn't in the movie.... And somehow everyone knew Wataru was Kiva even though he'd been keeping it a secret up to that point in show. And the Buron Booster. That totally needed to exist right?

As much as I really like the Kiva TV series the movie blows.

My wife and I finished Fourze last night.

As with pretty much every other Rider show, I loved it, and I'm very sad to be done with it.

I thought it was a good finish. i liked the parallels to the first episode, I liked how Leo and Sagittarius were defeated, and Gentaro's sappy I'm-gonna-be-friends-with-everybody schtick still is oddly moving to me at times. The show elicited many emotional responses from me, and if a show can do that, then I will love it.

Oh, and I loved the brief Haruto cameo in the final moments of the episode. hee hee, poor Shun, he doesn't deserve Miu anyway.

So, I'll be trying to juggle Faiz and Wizard, with the rewatch of Kuuga thrown in, and every now and again, when I feel like it, I'll watch Decade (I got up to the Hibiki arc and haven't really felt like going on with it yet).

Ah yes, the episode where we learn his motivation. That actually plays out REALLY well even after he busts the Dopant. I don't want to even slightly spoil anything so I'll wait until you actually get there. :D
