Free! Eternal Summer episode 2:
It was pretty good. the jokes were pretty funny. One thing that kinda bothers me is that so far it doesn't seem like this season is working towards its goal as much as season 1 did. So far the only goal this season seems to have is to get to nationals (or was it regionals? I can't remember) I wonder what's this Sousuke guy's deal, though. Also WHY IS RYUUTAROS' VOICE ACTOR PLAYING A DUDE NAMED MOMOTARO?!? When he first shows up he says but one word, and he's hard to hear, but I could tell right away it was him...I don't know if I should be proud of myself that I picked up on that right away. :lol Also, Kenichi Suzumura seems to really want to voice red haired dudes this year. First Sho Minazuki is persona 4 Ultimax, now Momotaro. EDIT: Gundam Build Fighters episode 8: Oh, wonderful, we get a genius kid who has 3 PH.Ds, has blackbelts in 2 different types of martial arts, only 3 months of Gunpla battle experience, and he beat a dude in a horribly one sided fight, who's been doing it for 20 years. Our Kirito/Daigo, ladies and gentlemen! bask in his perfection! Blech. Oh, and I call bull on Aila's win at the end. There's no way she could have beaten the world champion in half a second like that. They would at least need time to launch their Gunpla. |

So I'm up to episode 2 of Kill La Kill... someone want to explain to me what the hell I just watched?
|

Anyways, Kill La Kill is just a big ball of random/epicness/high-action/fun. I don't really question it since well... I think that's what the creator of Guren Lagaan was trying to go for with Kill La Kill... Just a big ball of fun with an actual plot. :lol |

Ah, so it's one of those leave your brain at the door type shows. Kay, I got it. :) |

Watched the four dubbed episodes of Kill La Kill and I love all the voices of the characters. Senketsu's voice is slowly growing on me. Next up, The Devil is a part timer!

Decided to watch finally watch Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods today and I gotta say, it was pretty interesting. I actually liked Goku's God Form/Mode. Even though it isn't good at SSJ4, it still is nice to see Goku get another form addition. Also, I don't know how I forgot how perverted Roshi was. Now, the fight scenes in this movie were pretty smooth and fast-paced, especially the Super Saiyan God Goku vs Lord Bills fight. That scene just melted my heart. Overall, the movie wasn't the best and a little childish, but still I liked it.

Welp I finished my re-watch of Evangelion. It was...meh.
To be honest I'm happy I watched it again now that I'm older and thus able to understand it a bit more. Sure I was confused in some parts but it wasn't an utter mindfuck like it was when I saw it as a kid and it also wasn't as aggravating as when I saw it as a teenager. Being able to understand the show made the viewing not as painful as many people have said they found it to be. Praise wise I do have some. The animation is quite nice as are the character designs. The music is just angelic (pun intended) and the theme, that theme, so fucking catchy. These are things that I actually would and will praise the show for. But I have cons, and they're fairly major. The story was just meh and bleh at times. It was just alright to me and that's when I was able to actually see the story. Most of the time I didn't feel like there was a continuing story to the show unless it was a multi part episode. It also got bleh at times, those coming from when it got confusing. By the end of the show Anno throws way too many twists and turns at you and it just makes things chaotic. Also the pre finale episode was just rushed. That whole story should have taken place over multiple episodes to give depth to everything going on instead of just cramming it all in one episode (and this is coming from me watching the director's cut version). Outside of the story the only things I don't praise are the characters. Shinji's the only one who truly gets any development and those that do are just tidbits until the final two episodes. Along with that not all of them were pleasant (Asuka I swear I will murder you). In the end I liked the show and found it pretty mehy. I do love one thing about it though and that's more of a personal thing. I loved the whole show basically is a psychoanalysis of the human mind and a lot of the time I found myself following the character's thoughts and movements instead of the plot. So that's the one thing I actually really really like about the show, but as I said it's more of a personal thing then anything. Overall, Neon Genesis Evangelion was an okay show. I don't think it's the greatest anime of all time, but it isn't the worst. It's sub par. |
So i watched a random episode of Hack on the funimation channel, i have no idea what's going on.
|
Hack?
Like .hack? Or a different show with the name hack in it? If it was .hack, which one, //SIGN, //Twilight, or //ROOTS? Also, if you have never played the games you will not likely understand what is going on since they are meant to be played with the games. |

Aldanoah Zero episode 3 was fantastic, especially the scene after the credits.
Sailor Moon was also down right incredible. Another episode that is 90% accurate to the manga. YES!!! |
I'm watching Fairy tale for the first time.
First impression, hello Gumball! |

Wing offers no value to me because its storylines have been done better in other Gundam shows before and after. The only original thing I can think of is the mobile dolls, and while they do impact the story, I find watching a show for one element to be a waste. Plus, half of the fucking show nobody can keep track of thier Gundams. Most of the show, at least 2 pilots doesn't know where the fuck his Gundam is and that bugs the shit out of me. Literally, the whole Zechs Marquise subplot is ripped from Char's legacy from the UC. Granted, its shorter but still. Heero Yuy? Been done better by Setsuna F Seiiei because he has a reason for being an stick in the mud at first. The action? Its okay. Its less consistently well animated then shows that precede it by 10 years but still. |
I'll still probably just watch Wing. I loved the Super Famicom game so that with the other things I mentioned is enough to get me to watch it. I'll judge for myself how good it is. Though I'll keep 00 on note though.

A lot of people hate it but I love the entire show and the movie. The thing about 00 is that its a story about humanity getting to space rather then the divides caused by of the wants and needs between the Earth and Space people. So every action is taken into much greater consideration in the grand scheme of things. It also has great action while not being cheap and recycling fights. The movie is also great to as it does the opposite and is about the much later events that could occur in Gundam and does something any Gundam series hasn't done before. I won't spoil it, but I am surprised the UC hasn't done this yet. |
pretty much skip 00, seed, and wing, wing is boring and weak, but not terrible, the other two, are just atrocious in how bad they are
go watch UC, X, G or Turn A. that is where the good stuff is I've seen pretty much everything gundam, and i am 20 episodes away from finishing Turn A, it is probably the best gundam series there is |

^that news kind of upsets me, it was finally becoming enjoyable to be a gurren lagann fan again, now i'll just have to deal with more rabid fanboys who don't understand that show is a getter robo homage
it gets annoying when you cosplay the robot gurren lagann and you have to deal with the fanboys |
