On the bugman side of things, I also thankfully had nothing to worry about last night, since I'm intentionally waiting out the Cyclone bike for the Bluefin release when I should have even better finances, and eff Blade. Kiiiiiinda want the exclusive darker Skyrider, but he's no Scissors (strangely favorite Ryuki suit and DK character for sheer douchieness) or Apollo Geist.

The fact that I managed to actually snag a Cyclone on preorder -- when normally I have terrible luck at getting them -- made me happy at least. Takeshi Hongo is the only Kamen Rider FA I own, so I had to get the Cyclone on a matter of principle.

I love Blade's look, but never seen the show so not even sweating it, yes?

I told my friend about the White Ranger going up on preorder and he about lost it. He managed to resist getting Red and Green, but he's a HUGE White Ranger fan from his youth, including having the entire team of Thunderzords. So looks like I am continuing in my corruption of him, heh. :D

But I did notice the price dropped finally for Green Ranger. So cancelled my initial and made a new order, to avoid being overcharged like last time that happened..

Yeah, I don't that. Amazon is supposed to guarantee the preorder price no matter what is was, but they never refunded me anything for Flame Style on Wizard. As such, when I saw both Tyranno and Dragon for cheaper, I created a new order. Of course, I've got them on preorder now from AmiAmi, so I might not even bother with Amazon.

I checked the description on their pre-order price guarantee and it doesn't cover toys, only books and movies :/ I did get a small refund for Wizard Flame Style by sending them an e-mail though so you can do it, you just have to put in effort. You shouldn't have to, but they will refund you the difference.

So overall, I am very disappointed with the quality in Gavan. It is already bad enough I am worried about how the Vac metal is going to last over time, but I have had some issues with the quality control. First off, I had to glue his left knee cap into the joint because the hole it was supposed to go into wasn't formed right, so the cap refused to sit on the knee at all. Then I have the wrist joint that connects that hand pop out whenever I want to take the hand off, so I have to pull the wrist bracelet off, push massive pressure onto the wrist so I can pop off the hand without the peg coming out, and then put everything back together. I also have his waist feeling like it wants to pop out of the body.

As I said, the figure itself is cool, and as a Gavan fan, I am glad to have him, but as an exclusive figure, he is a disappointment. I hope mine is just an isolated incident and not a wide spread issue because if it is, that is truly unacceptable. Now I'm not sure I am going to go after Shraider or Sharivan.

It might be an isolated case of QC problems. Ive been messing around with my Gavan tonight too. Aside from a little excess plastic mold flashing on his feet mines pretty solid. Nice tight joints, beautiful vac-metal. I'm not gonna throw it across the room or anything but I'd say if you leave yours on display like I'll leave mine then we should be fine.

How's the vac metal on Gavan holding up? That was my big concern about the figure.

FINALLY nabbed a Deka Green on Mandarake. Now the team will be complete when Yellow and Pink are released.

Yeah I know the feeling, I've been checking every day for about 2 months for him. Then suddenly 2 showed up yesterday (one for 3000 and another for 3500) and both sold out instantly. Luckily the 3000 yen one was mine :D

Just fine. I haven't noticed any issues with mine yet and I played around with him for a while yesterday. However I think it bears mentioning that the old Action Works Gavan figure is better than the figuarts. It had more accessories, more hands, and a dedicated base. This one has a few sets of hands, one laser blade (non-powered), and another laser blade with the slash effect. The action works figure came with 4 different laser blades in various modes. I'm probably just going to hunt down the vac-metal re-release of that figure that came out at Christmas.

I'm sorry to say that SHF is pretty underwhelming. It looks nice but they didn't do him justice :(

No it isn't. Tokusatsu specifically refers to something that is live action. It can't be toku if it's animated. Bandai just happens to make SH Figuarts for Precure as well because it's a big seller.

The SHF is not depicting the live-action tokusatsu version of the character and therefore does not go here, unlike Hana who is unequivocally a tokusatsu character despite her face.

Shadowmoon's never gotten a reissue, but Black and RX did a long time ago. I know the Black I used to own was definitely the original, but I might have had the Black RX reissue.

It's rare, but I have seen the odd retail-price RX. It sounds like getting a Black from Mandarake isn't too bad a proposition either. Stupid expensive Shadowmoon though...

You can get Black RX for $40 at Muteki Sales(dot com). They're a fairly good store, I actually got both my RX and Shadowmoon there.

Lets put it this way, if you own an Ouja and at least one of his victims ( I recommend Raia, Raia is excellent in its own right), I thing this is a firm should-have.

Individually, the most impressive of the Mirror Monsters has to be Metalgelas which is HUGE!!!! I am very sure he wasn't this size in the show. He's about the size of my Henkei Convoy which is a big step-up from the slightly larger than a guy size he was supposed to be. Shukuen Shinobi has an excellent review up which more or less explains what you can expect from this package.

With the amount of accessories you get with this guy, I think it was worth the chunk of change I spent on him. My only complaint is that this set really needed one of those robust "flight" arm stands like the one that came with Knight to really get Evildiver to feel stable. Its doable with the arms they give you but it feels a lot more sturdy with that arm.

Yeah, I recently watched Ryuki and Metalgelas isn't much bigger than a person. While it makes the toy look a whole lot better, they definitely took some liberties with the size of him.

I am guessing that the Tiger Mirror Monster will most likely be made from the same buck, that or the Scissors Mirror Monster. Either way, that's going to be one crowded shelf.

I don't have a problem with Evildiver using the regular stage 4 arms it comes with. He's pretty darn solid on it.
I had him displayed like this for a long time, and he was plenty sturdy.

You can figure that out by simply looking at the copyright info on Shadowmoon somewhere, either his back or foot, and look for the four circles in a diamond shape. All four mean it's an original, but if it was a reissue there would only be three that formed a triangle instead.

Absolutely not. Nothing to do with being rumor, what you're talking about is the result of confusion and misinformation.

Bandai's system is used to keep some kind of record on the toy itself of how many times a figure has gone into production, and for the most part makes no actual difference to a collector. DX toys, Gashapon, Chogokin, all sorts of lines use it. And any time a new production run is done, the figure loses one of its dots.

The part where people were making up nonsense was when they claimed that a figure could only get four reissues and then the mold was done. That's entirely false as it's up to Bandai and consumer demand to say whether or not a figure warrants more production runs. Figures are entirely capable of more than four reissues - if Bandai runs out of dots, they're replaced by four other shapes.

Four stupid dots next to the copyright on a toy aren't going to tell Bandai what to do or not do.

HLJ normally have pretty cheap shipping prices but they seem to have about one shelf of stock for the entire website and whenever I try out other recommendations for websites I normally find the shipping is more than the actual item.

It's one thing spending like £20 - £30 on a single figure, it's another to spend an extra £20 - £30 getting it to your door.

Agito, Kabuto and Tatoba OOO have been reissued this month and I recall that Agito and Kabuto came out way earlier than Black and RX. This is Agito and Kabuto's third reissue if my memory serves me right. So I think a reissue for both Black and RX is coming soon. Problem is how fast those characters disappear off the shelves or on online listings. It's scary.

That depends what type of postage you're using. SAL (be it tracked or untracked) from AmiAmi, HLJ, Hobbysearch or Mandarake is usually in the £4-7 range for one Figuart. Not sure about EMS because it tends to get a bit pricey.

I reckon I'll use Hobbysearch in the future then.
